gottafindaman4yagirl · 19/12/2014 17:27

Have the scented candles ready too :)

jesy · 19/12/2014 17:35

I used to do that when I was with my first

ordinarybloke · 19/12/2014 17:36

sorry,it was they way I was brought up.but definitely no candles, scented or any other variety.....

gottafindaman4yagirl · 19/12/2014 17:40

How I dream of a man ironing anything. I would be impressed with ironed bedding.

ordinarybloke · 19/12/2014 17:44

and it is to distract from the rest of the house/bedroom which looks very much like a single man lives there

gottafindaman4yagirl · 19/12/2014 17:51

I shove stuff in cupboards and keep the place quite dark with a few lights candles :)

ordinarybloke · 19/12/2014 17:55

i have done the cupboard stuffing thing. and I am ready with the excuse "the bulb has just gone in that room: for the really messy room

ordinarybloke · 19/12/2014 17:57

gotta-living by myself for so long means I really have to iron stuff

HelenaDove · 19/12/2014 18:06

Why wouldnt you iron stuff if you didnt live alone Ordinary?

gottafindaman4yagirl · 19/12/2014 18:06

Living alone is no excuse for ironing, I just tumble dry and quickly fold clothes. I sound like a right slob :)

Hi guys, can I join in? Looking to dip my toe in OLD but quite cautious. Split from DS's dad just over a year ago and had a brief relationship since but it didn't get to the stage of meeting DS.
I don't know which site to join, there are so many! I'm 23 but don't meet many men in day to day life due to my job but had a look on pof and the 20 something guys mainly seem after casual set ups and have topless profile pics etc which is not what I'm after.
Maybe paid sites are better? Although Match seems expensive and eHarmony seems a bit fussy, any recommendations?

HelenaDove · 19/12/2014 18:20

Fine thanks Rioux. You?

gotta i dont iron either tbh. But please dont expect so little or give out the message that its womens work. You deserve a decent equal relationship.

Sod equal, I'm sexist and think its a mans place to iron and clean the loo while I sit in front of the TV eating chocolate and drinking wine. Wish someone told my ex that, apparently he worked and everything else was for me to do which included me painting the whole house.

HelenaDove · 19/12/2014 18:30

Smile enjoy your date on Sunday but if a meal out is what you would rather do than get horizontal then tell him that. Nothing wrong with either as long as its what you want.

MadeMan · 19/12/2014 18:35

I have heard stories of women not letting their men in the kitchen or using the washing machine; also of men not letting their wives use the lawnmower.

The men and women in my family all just seem to muck in together and do whatever needs to be done; never been any talk of man's work, or women's work.
