Hello, I'm Mouse Xmas Smile

Welcome to the Bus, he's called Gerald.... he takes us up and down and this wondrous land, searching high and low for Babes in need of some support, a warm place to sit and chat, and to have someone to listen to them.

So, grab a seat as we swing by your way. There's lots of hot drinks, food and fleeces, places to just be and places to sit around and chat if that's what you want.

We don't judge, because we've all be in your shoes, be they stilettos, wellies or crocs!...

We're just us, we're just honest and we just do what we can to help, if we can, when we can. Let's try and have a Merry Christmas without getting off our faces this year. Xmas Smile

Here is the very first, emotional thread if you would like to see where this all started

And the last thread if you want to keep up!

Dont do nails and lingerie browsing will make me hate all the skinny models Grin
Might sort out overflowing bookcase and box some up for charity shop. Other than visiting dad and cleaning the bog I can't think of much else. My life is SO rock and roll...

SweetLathyrus · 11/01/2015 10:22

Get on Spotify and see if you can catch it out by thinking of a song that isn't in it's data base - kept my DH and Dad going for hours at Christmas (rock 'n' roll - geddit!)

Fairenuff · 11/01/2015 10:49

There are actually some good films on today. It's cold, wet a dreary - just the day for a quick blitz of the house then snuggle down under a duvet with a flask of hot chocolate and a movie.

We have everything from Disney's Aladdin (gotta love Robin Williams) to an old 1960 St. Trinians, the sentimental The Pursuit of Happyness, Mr M's Wonder Emporium (which seems to be on all the time at the moment), the new(ish) versions of Around the World in 80 Days and King Kong, The Legend of Bagger Vance and, if you've got children who want to watch too, there's also Valient. If not, there is a two hour Lewis which might be good.

Something for everyone there I think?

Oh btw ma, I have ordered myself a colouring book after your suggestion yesterday. There are some really great ones out there, full of intricate patterns and details. But I got one with fairies and trolls Grin

SweetLathyrus · 11/01/2015 11:06

Sorry for those of you stuck with the bad weather - It's GLORIOUS down here - Rabbit is in the garden, cat is sat at the French doors watching - and licking her lips (No chance, Puss, he is bigger than you and has a back leg kick you wouldn't believe). Unfortunately, all that sun means I can see how dirty my windows are.

Thumbs up for the film marathon, Faire

aliasjoey · 11/01/2015 13:13

Ugh I feel horrible. Think I'm on a downward spiral. Depressed, guilty, tired.

And then I just post here in the selfish hope that someone will say it's not so bad and cheer me up. Sorry.

SweetLathyrus · 11/01/2015 13:25

Alias, I don't know if 'it isn't tbat bad', but, a couple of things I do know . . .
Guilt achieves nothing
M
Depression often has little or nothing to do with our immediate material conditions (often when things are genuinely difficult, I am at my strongest, it's when thing get calm the anxieties, and depression take hold).

And, the bus is the best-est, safest place to come and let it out.

And to give you a taste of my slightly warped thinking at the hope I actually just said, out loud. "Oh, thank goodness, the sun has gone and it looks like rain; now I don't need to clean the cat snot off the windows"

Yes, I actually did say it so people could hear!

Now, come and talk - I'm a bit awkward with hugs, but you can have a big one of those too.

SweetLathyrus · 11/01/2015 13:31

Oh, and I counted my knickers, 21 plus whatever is in the laundry basket. Mostly in need of replacing, and now I'm feeling Envy, coz I don't have as many as Ma!!

dementedma · 11/01/2015 13:55

Hey joey feeling a bit low myself today. Stupid but I feel almost cheated that being AF hasn't suddenly solved all my problems and made my life wonderful. As if everything would miraculously be swishy and bright and it isnt.
I'm away to do some ironing. That will rock my world.

babyjane1 · 11/01/2015 13:58

Hi babes, all sounding chipper on here today, I can believe your all nearly half way there, I'm on day 16 and my connection with wine lessens every day. What is exposed more each day is how little of it is spent doing the the I ENJOY. So I will be setting up date night every week (hope dh can babysit) boom boom, doing at least one fitness class, and 1 family activity which includes ALL of us. I think if we are planning a life without alcohol then we need to block the obstacles the WW will throw at us.
It's fab to see the bus so busy, sometimes just reading and posting can fill in time when WW comes calling.

Have a good un xxxxx

guggenheim · 11/01/2015 14:34

day 3 : )

TheKhalisirules · 11/01/2015 14:58

yay, guggs!

alias I also don't know if it isn't that bad but sweet is right. I also tend to feel things when they're getting better.
Please hang in there.

I had someone here this morning brought by a neighbour who will fix my chimney temporarily for 100€. Better than nothing, I suppose.

Then I had a builder come to look at the hole in the wall above my livingroom window. Now I have to say this is a miracle in itself as in Germany people just don't come out on Sundays.
(Oh, and he had strong builder arms and omg, I found myself fantasising about him carrying me! Blush

dementedma · 11/01/2015 15:01

Pounce on him khalisi while you have the chance!

SweetLathyrus · 11/01/2015 15:17

OOh, Khalisi, a conscientious, fit builder, Ma is right - lock the door before he gets away. Tell him Baby's* DH has locked you in and disappear with the key (ignore the fact that you already had to let him in!!

How's the boredom going, Ma?

Just got back from another walk, and the house smells (and tastes) delicious because of DS baking.

SweetLathyrus · 11/01/2015 15:18

Blush yet another bold fail!

TheKhalisirules · 11/01/2015 15:23

Grin Grin Grin ma
OMG, you're killing mel!!
(he was very surprised at my knowledge and plans about the house. Then said one would not expect that, with my small soft hands! I showed him a photo of me drilling away old cement to open up the natural stone in my kitchen wall and he gave me his hands to feel!
And, he stayed for two hours (I thought he would be in and out of here in 15minutes, tops).
Jump him, she says!!! Grin now I'm in giggles again!

dementedma · 11/01/2015 15:24

Still bored. Have done the ironing and coloured my hair.
DS is baking peanut butter cookies. Pissing sleety rain outside so no walk.

TheKhalisirules · 11/01/2015 15:25

x.posted. You guys!! Thank God no one heres me!
Have to blow my nose, now!

SweetLathyrus · 11/01/2015 15:25

SweetLathyrus · 11/01/2015 15:28

Still purple, Ma, or something different?

dementedma · 11/01/2015 15:29

He stayed for two hours and you held hands???
To the knicker drawer at once and get things organised. This sounds extremely promising....

dementedma · 11/01/2015 15:29

Purple as a purple thing!

SweetLathyrus · 11/01/2015 15:31

Do you be the bold fail, Baby? Just put my asterisks in the wrong place Grin

aliasjoey · 11/01/2015 15:38

Yeah, you would say that ma - we know your type... Grin
