Hello, I'm Mouse Xmas Smile

Welcome to the Bus, he's called Gerald.... he takes us up and down and this wondrous land, searching high and low for Babes in need of some support, a warm place to sit and chat, and to have someone to listen to them.

So, grab a seat as we swing by your way. There's lots of hot drinks, food and fleeces, places to just be and places to sit around and chat if that's what you want.

We don't judge, because we've all be in your shoes, be they stilettos, wellies or crocs!...

We're just us, we're just honest and we just do what we can to help, if we can, when we can. Let's try and have a Merry Christmas without getting off our faces this year. Xmas Smile

Here is the very first, emotional thread if you would like to see where this all started

And the last thread if you want to keep up!

I am very lucky to have him Soupey. Back from my walk on which, apart from the usual birds and squirrels, I saw, two female Red Deer, Three guard geese and a butterfly. Must do it more often.

What a wonderful post Hare.

Off to work for a couple of hours now Sad Happy Friday afternoon everyone

obrigada · 09/01/2015 15:20

Hare, just to say thank you for posting, I do post sporadically on this thread (my New Years Resolution is to post as often as possible) and I agree that it is a fantastic thread. It's absolutely heartwarming to hear that you found it to be of such help to you.

Waves to all other babes x

ruralreynard · 09/01/2015 15:52

big wave to all. x

obrigada · 09/01/2015 16:22

Hey Rural, how are you these days?

Rubyredlips · 09/01/2015 16:57

I'm having a right wobbly type thing. I've just seen one of my drinking mates at school pick up who I used to meet up regularly with for a few vino's. I have an excuse for not drinking at the mo as I've been ill but going forward I will have to face up to the permanence of the situation. She said she was going for a drink later - that would be me normally.

babyjane1 · 09/01/2015 17:57

hare what a lovely post, it's really rewarding to think we may have helped you and others by baring out souls. I have shared so much of my inner feelings and fears and indeed great shame of the things I've done and people I've hurt, we all have, it's so nice to know it's affected you in such a positive way. Please keep posting as it's your success that will inspire ours so you can help us now your free.

sweet I'm glad your horrid day is over and staying sober will be proof that your shit for brains boss just ain't worth it. Big squidgy hug my lovely.

Been swimming, my waterproof iPod case is amazing, swimming underwater listening to music is lush and very relaxing, no WW knocking on my door tonight, hopefully not any of yours either.

Lots of huggles xxx

dementedma · 09/01/2015 18:17

SweetLathyrus · 09/01/2015 18:26

Listen to you fighting it Ma

babyjane1 · 09/01/2015 18:40

sweet make sure it's waterproof not splash proof and if so give it a go, it really eliminates the boredom and clears your head, I listen to Adele, Amy Winehouse nice easy listening, it soothes me so much and now I'm showered and shiny and clean I wouldn't want to put toxic shit that will poison me into my body, so it clearly works xx

ma it's tough on a Friday especially, eat something nice and when your full up the urge will pass, your really doing brilliantly xxxx

dementedma · 09/01/2015 19:43

Oh thank you sweet that really helped!
,baby I cant. I'm dieting as I want the most benefit from not drinking to inspire me to keep going. Also saw a video clip of myself today taken this summer and I looked awful!!!!
Had a bath, weighed myself, had a cup of tea.
Will stay on here and on dry january thread and get through it.

dementedma · 09/01/2015 19:44

Mouseface · 09/01/2015 20:49

Evening, tis me, Mouse

Quick post, been to the Doc and Dentist today......

Doc for stronger meds for my knee and Dentist to be told I have an infected tooth that has to come out as the drill was far too painful and he was nowhere near to the root!

So no root canal for me. Thank goodness!

Night all, be back to catch up, I promise xxx

TheJingleMumsRush · 09/01/2015 22:52

Yay, ma!!!

TheJingleMumsRush · 09/01/2015 22:55

I can't really taste the difference, had it with a curry that DH cooked (I was having a meltdown as dS has driven me bonkers today, I actually cried in the loo)

TheJingleMumsRush · 09/01/2015 22:57

Feeling a little proud, it's a massive cut from what was probably 1 1/2 bottles of red a night and sometimes a couple of g&t's on that.

aliasjoey · 09/01/2015 23:34

FAIL

babyjane1 · 09/01/2015 23:38

jinglebe very proud, I used to find Friday's the worst but I enrolled dd2 in a very early morning gymnastics class on a sat to take away the option of drinking. Theory is id let myself down at every turn but not my girls so to commit myself to that (even paid the whole block in advance) so I feel good for doing something she enjoys and even better knowing the whole day lies ahead without the pulsating headache and sense of dread.

So proud of everyone, every time I wobble I think of the rest of you fighting the same fight, it really helps.

Hugs to all, your totally awesome xx
