Gotta

Your right it sucks, I met some one last year via someone I met old.
Call him Mr j
He was ideal nth,not physically but a cracking smile and as dumb as it sounds I cared for him before . We even met and if he'd stuck around there wouldn't have been Mr IT or Mr bipolar.
We had a great time , we went to a dog show on our second date , he'd gone to fuss this staffy but came back kissed me on neck put his arms round me n I felt safe .

He don't seem to want a relationship , which I've accepted sort of lol
But his mate a joke last night about Mr j money joking saying he worth lots ( he said it before but I laughed it off)
I said don't be daft but said yeah he got a fair bit , now I'm thinking maybe he thinks I'm after money

My ex had no sex drive for years due to depression and for me we were more like siblings than lovers. I understand the guilt, my EH wanted us to go on living a lie. It killed me to be the one to end it.
I have slept with two men since ex, first was dtd on first date which made me feel terrible yet I was glad to get it done. Second was Mr Young who is too rough with hair pulling, biting and hand over mouth. Very different from my ex but no feelings.
My ex was my best mate which I lost last but I couldn't live without the intimacy or sex, made me feel unwanted.
I am independent, had my first DC age 20 and have struggled on. Just the womanly part of my nature wants the attention and love of a caring man who's into me.
Better write to SantaGrin Been mostly nice this year.

gottafindaman4yagirl · 21/11/2014 14:24

Blossom It sure is mad, love and all.

Blossomflowers · 21/11/2014 14:50

Gotta Exactly the same, X and I were like brother and sister. Had years of ED which he refused to deal with, he was depressed, had a mental breakdown and has serious alcohol issues and I stuck by him. But in the end enough was enough. Ironically he suddenly became interested in me when he happened to bump into one of my lovers leaving my house one morning. What a night mare. We had a couple of months of mad sex, now he says he does not see me in that way. All a bit screwed up really. He was my best friend, probably still is.

SuperFlyHigh · 21/11/2014 15:24

dippin and dollyrocker

I'm 43 and when I was under 40 I got way more interest... off men my age etc...

i was told by someone or read somewhere that once you hit 40 some men tend to rule you out and on match crapfinity for one have had men late 40's and older contact me, and they look it too. I look (not bragging) about 30, or early 30's. not saying i expect men that age but.... not drawing their pensions!

Well I'm not really dating just yet, but just checking in. I've booked myself in for fillers and botox next week!

MadeMan · 21/11/2014 17:12

"Can I just point out that saying you're a 5'10 blond would put me off anyway, and would put lots of men off..."

It would put me off as well. Tall leggy blondes are a bit 1980's; surely it's only Rod Stewart and ZZ-Top who go crazy insane for them?

gottafindaman4yagirl · 21/11/2014 17:39

I am a 5ft 4 brunette and use to wish I was taller but my chances on old are better for being a short arse.
Don't know why I'm feeling miserable about ending dating Mr Young, he was wrong for me I know.
I think because for most of my grown-up life I was with my exH I'm still finding it hard to be single and happy with it.

jesy · 21/11/2014 18:29

I've dated tall women before, I was walking down the street with her, I'm 5'10, she was 6 feet and was wearing heels, so probably 6 inches taller than me.

Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with tall women at all. But if women on here are allowed to say they don't want to date short guys (which some of them have, quite vitriolically so in some cases, several threads ago) then it's only fair for a man to say he doesn't want to date a woman taller than him, isn't it?

It's the enfolding thing. I want to be with someone who I can hug, who can lean their head on my shoulder. Women usually want the inverse of that. Very tall men can go for very tall women, I'm medium height so I prefer medium height women. All other things being equal, I'd go for someone shorter than me.

Blondes, I like. But I like brunettes and redheads too, it was the tall thing that puts me off

MadeMan · 21/11/2014 19:59

"Very tall men can go for very tall women."

Yep, tall women will get the tall men.

DollyDreamboat · 21/11/2014 20:11

Ah, now I'm short and I've always had tall men. I know it's selfish but I don't care ??

Bant · 21/11/2014 20:22

Yeah, tall men can get tall, medium or short men. Short women can get any height of man. The worlds not fair :)

MadeMan · 21/11/2014 20:26

It's like that Two Ronnies Sketch with John Cleese.

Short Man says, "I know my place."

I'm short, most of my men have been around 5ft 10. Some quite a bit taller. I find I fit better with a guy who is 5ft 10 and slimish.

Docmartensanddungarees · 21/11/2014 21:10

I would never rule someone out because of height, but I do like a woman to be a couple of inches or so taller than me.

IMNOTYOURBABES · 21/11/2014 21:26

Me: 5'5'' long dark brown hair, size 10, comedy boobs.
That's me done, not bad for a profile? ? WinkGrin

Hello to the new people Smile

I have a date with Mr Beard tomorrow. Was going to be coffee half way (he's an hours drive from me) but it's now back to original plan of dinner at his.

3rd date next Sunday with 20/20 (he is God)
Was going to meet up with ex on the eve before, but decided against it as know it would be a late one with a fair at of drinking involved. AND more importantly I didn't want to be hungover for my date with 20/20.

MadeMan · 21/11/2014 21:37

"5'5'' long dark brown hair, size 10, comedy boobs. That's me done, not bad for a profile? ?"

Perfect.

DollyRocker1 · 21/11/2014 22:10

Just got back from date. None of the men I've met online are anything like what I expected them to be like. So I end up quite disappointed. I know we're not supposed to get our hopes up but when the banter is great online and their profiles are good you think you're onto a winner.

Arrowminta · 21/11/2014 22:13

Dolly, it can go the other way once in a blue moon too.

Best going in with a completley open mind.
