I know it is a big no no, but I did.
Found a text from his male work mate saying "did you get a touch then"
reply "no family life gets in the way" a few other lines I cannot remember then "it will be mine, all mine!"
I have not said anything as I am in the wrong for looking at the messages, but feel rather sick...

What do you think it means?

KERALA1 · 07/07/2014 21:51

If I saw that on dhs phone would assume he was buying a new bike. What sort of man is he normally?

ShatnersBassoon · 07/07/2014 21:51

I don't know what it means. Does it mean something terrible to you?

AnyFucker · 07/07/2014 21:52

what are you thinking this cryptic convo refers to ?

BosieDufflecoat · 07/07/2014 21:52

Ipod touch?

lettertoherms · 07/07/2014 21:52

I would assume that should say "in touch". Client to call? Account he's trying to get?

Do you have reason to fear more? Othe behavior? Why did you feel you had to check his phone?

coolaschmoola · 07/07/2014 21:52

What do you think it is about? Because from the outside it all looks rather ambiguous.

The use of 'it' implies a man toy, like a car, or a games console or some gadget that he wasn't able to go and see/test/buy at the weekend because he was busy doing stuff with the family.

Could it be something like that?

HumphreyCobbler · 07/07/2014 21:53

I thought ipod

Betrayedbutsurvived · 07/07/2014 21:53

Am I missing something? My DH had almost that exact conversation with his friend the other day, they were talking about a bike that someone was selling.

nofarmhere · 07/07/2014 21:53

It is "a touch" bit. That is odd right?
Normally everything is fine.

YellowTulips · 07/07/2014 21:53

The way the word "it" is used makes me suspect it's a thing not a person - unless your other half is such a twat an OW is a "thing" of course...

nikki1978 · 07/07/2014 21:54

I would see 'a touch' as like getting a good deal or bit of luck tbh

heyday · 07/07/2014 21:54

Sounds like a snazzy new sports car to me.

sanfairyanne · 07/07/2014 21:54

i would assume he was buying something 'boy toy' like a bike?

susiedaisy · 07/07/2014 21:55

It doesn't strike me as talking about another person. More like a new gadget or a car etc

lettertoherms · 07/07/2014 21:56

A touch just looks like a typo to me. Or an iPod touch as others have pointed out.

There's nothing in what you've posted that sounds dodgy to me at all. If it said "a shag" then you might have problems, but it looks like you're overthinking this.

MissOtisRegretsMadam · 07/07/2014 21:56

Do you think the touch is a shag? Could it mean a shag off you?

cozietoesie · 07/07/2014 21:56

Yes - it sounds like a much wanted man toy. Is there something he's mentioned to you perhaps that he might have been yearning for?

OiMissus · 07/07/2014 21:56

Oh dear.
It may not be as bad as it may appear.
However, we have to ask why you checked his phone?
What were you expecting to find?
Did this, then, come as a shock?

I think (and someone else will post who knows better than me) it'd be best to rewind.
Think first what outcome do you want. And work back from there.
If you want to stay with him and be happy, then start talking to him about what you need to do to get there. And forget what you've seen on the phone. ...if he wants to make things better too.
Good luck.

sanfairyanne · 07/07/2014 21:57

golf?

magoria · 07/07/2014 21:57

Have to agree the it makes it sound like a boy toy/car/bike rather than a woman.

mrsspagbol · 07/07/2014 22:00

To be honest, this doesnt sound that bad to me. I would think he was buying some male krap toy.

Why do u think otherwise?

cozietoesie · 07/07/2014 22:00

It sounds as if he's been sounding off to his mates about buying an X,Y or Z and has come out with 'I'm definitely going to get one this weekend'. (And his friend was following up.) That's all.

Hassled · 07/07/2014 22:03

You're a country mile off evidence of any shenanigans here - he could have been talking about anything.

But why are you looking at his phone and assuming the worst? What's going on?

PolkaSpottyDotty · 07/07/2014 22:04

I thought iPod touch too. If I'd had a recent conversation about which iPod to chose I would say a nano, a.touch etc.

Hope it turns out ok OP.
