Would you be comfortable in the knowledge that your date had slept with hundreds of women?

Or would that fact be off putting?

Just asking for a friend.

Yes, she believes him. No, it's not me.

He is STI free he told her.

Yeah, sure.

Unless he's a sex god or had a lot of exposure to women looking for casual sex, I find it hard to believe that he's slept with one woman per week for 20 years.
Unless they were prostitutes... Hmm

That would put me off.

samuraispider · 29/08/2013 16:49

Knowing what i know now it would put me off completely and I'm no angel.

I nearly threw up when XP told me had slept with seven women on a holiday with his mates when he was younger. Leopards do not change their spots. I couldn't trust him as far as I could throw him...

Thankfully well rid of him!

samuraispider · 29/08/2013 16:58

Just read whole thread...

900?!!! No way. I would run a mile and then keep running some more.

Okay if you just want a shag but I really wouldn't expect him to hang around. Yuck!

moonfacebaby · 29/08/2013 17:34

900 is A LOT!!!!

However, my DP has slept with probably about 170 - he was quite promiscuous in his 20's (another DJ!).

But, it was a long time ago & he made a conscious decision to slow right down over 15 years ago. He has a great attitude to women & I don't think he'd cheat on me.

For the record, he is the best lover I have ever had. Incredibly attentive to my needs & a much more selfless lover than my exH - who only slept with 5 women & then cheated on me.

I think it's about assessing their attitude to women in general.

I personally couldn't imagine having sex with so many people but I try to reserve judgement based more on their overall character/behaviour in everyday life.

He is 57, minus 20 years of marriage = 27

Assuming he started having sex at 15 that means 12 years of shagging. That is 3 (ish) women a fortnight, every fortnight for 12 years.

Nah, I dont believe that because to make up for lean periods he would have had times with 5 or 6 a week.

Sounds like someone has been peddling that crap to his friends so long he has started to believe it without actually doing the sums!

Bogeyface · 29/08/2013 17:50

And to answer your question, no I wouldnt go out with him because I would question his attitude to honesty generally if he could lie about something so pointless.

Also, one marriage of 15 years and one of 5? Is she sure he didnt cheat? Sounds like the post affair marriage to me, but I am very cynical.....Wink

AKissIsNotAContract · 29/08/2013 18:32

I think he's talking shit. I know swingers who haven't managed 500. I bet even Peter Stringfellow's number isn't that high

SoleSource · 29/08/2013 18:49

Maybe he has maybe he hasn't who can tell.

WafflyVersatile · 29/08/2013 20:45

If he started at 17, 57-17 = 40. 40 - 20 = 20 - 10 years (guessing) of courting future wives and other monogamous relationships that's 10 years. If he was successful at pulling and went out every friday and saturday night that could be 100 per year.

It's doable. I suppose.

AnyFucker · 29/08/2013 20:50

This dickhead told her he's slept with hundreds of women before they'd even been on a date ?

Firstly, I smell bullshit

Secondly, why does she need to know this ?

SoleSource · 29/08/2013 22:41

Grin AF

He felt the need to tell her.

SubliminalMassaging · 29/08/2013 22:43

I'd question whether someone who has slept with 'hundreds' of people is capable of forming and staying in a proper relationship for more than a few weeks, and I'd also question whether they have very low standards.

AnyFucker · 29/08/2013 22:45

I'd feel the need to tell him to take his oversharing and do a running jump with it

AnyFucker · 29/08/2013 22:45

What is the age difference between these two people ?

NoMoreLoser · 29/08/2013 22:59

He's a liar. If any man told me that I'd just laugh and run

SoleSource · 29/08/2013 23:15

My friend is 42.

He's either a liar or a disgusting sleeze. Either way I wouldn't be meeting up with him. Bleurgh.

Lazyjaney · 29/08/2013 23:37

Math? surely Lazyjaney you means maths?

Whatever - it's clear that anyone in a relationship with him would be advised to measure their anniversaries in weeks, not years.

TobyLerone · 29/08/2013 23:44

Anniversaries cannot be measured in weeks, by very definition of the word 'anniversary'.

AnyFucker · 29/08/2013 23:55

Every anniversary would certainly be an "annus horribilis" with this nobber
