Will this become the live birth thread? Will Lodger 1 leave? Will waves be smiling throughout this thread?

Doula is on call, bags are packed, acrobat was a teeny 14 weeks foetus when I started posting - he is about to become DC3, I'll stop being sick and a whole new chapter will begin.

waves I had the weirdest feelings of euphoria during labour 2&3. The student midwife reckoned it was to do with oxytocin and serotonin release apparently HG restricts these so labour is a bit hedonistic Grin I loved the contractions too. Strange.

JaxTellerIsAllMine · 26/07/2013 17:51

I've got tinternet!

Well done waves. Can't wait to meet acrobat. You're doing fantastic. WineThanks

wavesandsmiles · 26/07/2013 17:55

gertrude I'm so pleased to hear your experience was similar! Makes me feel a little less weird.... Contractions are about every 3 or 4 minutes from end of one to start of next but no real intense pain, I'm just breathing and hula hooping through them whilst enjoying being barefoot on the patio or grass Smile

Glad you have Internet jax!

I'm planning on staying home til things actually really hurt.

Good luck Waves, he's nearly here, I'm so excited for you!

TiredFeet · 26/07/2013 18:01

Very excited for you waves !

Can't wait to hear the news that acrobat is here Smile

MissStrawberry · 26/07/2013 18:03

It's a bit dusty here...

Jux · 26/07/2013 18:03

How exciting!!

Just back from bra shopping with dd, (including a visit to Hotel Chocolat Blush) and had a merry time on the scooter from Shopmobility.

I don't iron. DH does, but I told him many moons ago that if he wanted his shirts ironed sleeves last then he could do them himself, and that there was no way in the world that I would iron jeans. So I don't actually iron at all Grin

So looking forward to seeing Acrobat. Good luck waves. x

How about some high cobwebs to tackle - just ... up .... there. Keep on hula-hooping Wink

ClairesTravellingCircus · 26/07/2013 18:21

Glad to hear things are moving on finally! You truly are superwoman Waves. Very best of luck to you and Acrobat on your last stretch of this journey to meet him! Thanks

threefeethighandrising · 26/07/2013 18:28

I'm glad that Doula is on her way, sounds like you're getting close :) Sending you and Acrobat good vibes from the South of England, DP's been asking after you too :)

MinnieBar · 26/07/2013 18:41

3-4 minutes is really quite close isn't it? Isn't that the point where they tell you to go into hospital?? (Last two were home births so my memories are faint - not trying to be a panic merchant!)

DonkeysDontRideBicycles · 26/07/2013 18:48

waves pom poms.

PinkGirlsMummy · 26/07/2013 18:49

Well done. You are doing so well; I'm thinking of you and sending positive thoughts xxx

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 26/07/2013 19:02

Waves I've only caught up with your thread earlier this week, and I just have to de-lurk now to add my pompoms to the forest.

You really are an amazing woman and mother, huge cheers and very best wishes for you and your little acrobat, from sunny Brighton.

dramajustfollowsme · 26/07/2013 19:03

I'm away to a football match. Whilst I'm cheering them on I'll be thinking of you too. Not long now. I think you could have a really short active stage so as soon as it starts getting painful I would get up to the hospital. How long were your previous labours?

Alwayscheerful · 26/07/2013 19:05

My midwife told me she experienced an orgasmn with each contraction, she practically giggles her way all through the birth.

Good luck Waves, enjoy. Blush

tightfortime · 26/07/2013 19:09

Woooo waves, almost there! So glad I'm staying in tonight!

Am pooped after just sweeping patio and I'm after a week off and am not pg. You lunatic, you.

I contracted pretty regularly and quickly for ages and still and to be put on drip but that was first baby so I would say that as it's your third, I wouldn't be staying home too much longer!

Can't wait for the news, details and pic x

MissStrawberry · 26/07/2013 19:16

Waves, do you want me to google when you should call for help or go to hospital?

MissStrawberry · 26/07/2013 19:20

How ridiculous. Before you can read the labour information you have to click on and get rid of an advert for signing up for pregnancy/childbirth/baby related emails Hmm.

When your contractions last 30-60 seconds and come every five minutes, call your midwife for advice.

Bogeyface · 26/07/2013 19:21

You should really be thinking about getting to hospital Waves, 3-4 minutes if active labour!
Good luck :)

Bogeyface · 26/07/2013 19:21

is active labour even!

vole3 · 26/07/2013 19:29
Grin

Does Waves hold the record for the most virtual birthing partners? I have had the privilege twice in RL and sure I speak for everyone here in saying that I am honoured to support you over the ether x

MissStrawberry · 26/07/2013 19:40

Grin at vole3.

I might have to bail. I keep going all teary Blush.
