Will this become the live birth thread? Will Lodger 1 leave? Will waves be smiling throughout this thread?

Doula is on call, bags are packed, acrobat was a teeny 14 weeks foetus when I started posting - he is about to become DC3, I'll stop being sick and a whole new chapter will begin.

May the force, gravity and a speedy delivery be with you fab lady...

wavesandsmiles · 24/07/2013 02:18

Managed to doze for a little and bang wide wake again with increasingly strong pains. Walking/ rocking round my patio and looking at the v beautiful moon just now.

Doula is aware, but I hate being a nuisance so just hanging on for a little while longer to see what/if anything happens.

If I can hang on it would be good, have a scheduled appointment at 11.30 anyway which would avoid the me feeling like a pain thing.

Quite quite uncomfortable, and have never felt so conscious of my cervix as I am tonight. And breathe.

Just de-lurking to wish you all the best waves. I hope little acrobat doesn't take too long to enter the world.

Well done for getting this far - you have had a horrendous time.

Onwards and upwards waves - and downwards and outwards little acrobat!

myroomisatip · 24/07/2013 03:42

Oh hey good luck. I do lurk a lot on your threads. You get so much support and advice that I cant add to, but I just want you to know I wish you well.

I think you are amazing :) and strong! I am, as I am sure a lot of others are, looking forward to your updates! :)

springytoto · 24/07/2013 04:17

Wide awake for some reason - and thinking of you waves -

nuisance?? erm.... maybe established labour is not being a 'nuisance' but there we go! You don't want this little one on the kitchen/patio floor, so call the midwife!

If you haven't already -

I do hope so!

Thinking of you and sending you an amazeballs labour and delivery

KalevalaForMePlease · 24/07/2013 04:18

Just poking my head in to see if there's any news!

Thumbwitch · 24/07/2013 05:17

Oooo waves - so excited, I reckon this is IT! I hope you've either got your doula with you now or are on your way into hospital - nothing worse than leaving it too long and then giving birth in either the carpark or the hospital foyer. Please consider that anyone associated with childbirth EXPECTS it to be at any hour - you are just doing what everyone does!

If you haven't gone in and things are just as bad, please do go. And best of luck for a fab labour!

BadgerFace · 24/07/2013 05:38

Good luck waves! Wishing you a speedy delivery! Come on Acrobat...

FoofFighter · 24/07/2013 05:59

Tortoiseonthehalfshell · 24/07/2013 06:02

Waves waves waves waves!

themidwife · 24/07/2013 06:29

I hardly ever catch babies during the day - labour usually happens at night. The midwives will be happy to see you any time! Hope you're ok! Thanks

GaryBuseysTeeth · 24/07/2013 06:55

Good luck Waves!!

threefeethighandrising · 24/07/2013 06:59

Waves, please, please get the idea that you're being a nuisance out of your head! You're not being a nuisance at all, you're in labour!

Labour can progress pretty quickly especially in pregnancies after your first, as I'm sure you know.

I expect you may well be having the baby as we speak, but if not, please don't be reticent about calling for help. It could all happen quickly and better that you have help to hand.

Thinking of you and wishing you and acrobat a speedy delivery (once you have help there of course!).

Auntybella · 24/07/2013 07:05

Goodluck!! Xx

auntpetunia · 24/07/2013 07:23

Oh waves even in labour the work done on you be TB and twunt comes to the front ?you are not being a nuisance YOU ARE IN LABOUR, I really Hope you called the midwife and are at the hospital.

You will be brilliant as mum of 3 especially once you stop being sick. Good luck.

MissStrawberry · 24/07/2013 07:47

Call them! It's their job to be there when someone needs them.

Hope you are all snuggled up with Baby Acrobat now.

JaxTellerIsAllMine · 24/07/2013 08:01

morning waves I hope you called the midwife and got some help. you are not being a nuisance, its their job to deliver babies/advise on stage of labour. And Im pretty sure they would want to know!

Hope you are ok, with baby acrobat.

wavesandsmiles · 24/07/2013 08:06

No baby yet and pain is getting worse. Can't get the stupid thought that I'm being a nuisance out of my head. Takes me right back to my first posts when I couldn't brim myself to ask for RL help re twunt. Due to see my consultant anyway at 11.30 so hoping to hang on til then but will need to get a lift as it hurts a lot and I don't think I can drive.

I was at hospital yesterday anyway and they really are very busy so I don't want to be a nuisance if this another false alarm.

OP posts:
LiveItUp · 24/07/2013 08:13

Please Waves, call the midwives at least. You are not "being a nuisance". I fear that if you don't get up there pronto then it may either be the paddling pool in the back garden or the hospital foyer, rather than the calm space you have spent so long creating for yourself. X

MissStrawberry · 24/07/2013 08:20

Please call now. 11.30 might be too late if he decides to come sooner. No more talk or thoughts about twat, this is your time. Please call.

Jux · 24/07/2013 08:26

Waves, please don't hang on. You've already got to the point where you can't get yourself there and need help. You're giving birth! No one is going to think you're a nuisance. Don't let TB and Twunt into your head. Be strong and ask for help now. Please?

captainmummy · 24/07/2013 08:31

Stop thinking you are a nuisance, waves. It's their JOB!

And it's not you, it's your baby, if anyone's being a nuisance Grin

BerylStreep · 24/07/2013 08:35

Forget the 11.30 appointment. Go to hospital now, or ring the midwives at the very least. How are you going to get there if you can't drive? Can the doula take you?
