Hope she is smoooooooching for all she's worth Grin

lazarusb · 16/06/2013 21:06

Hope you're having a good night LNM. Smile You're worth it! Will look forward to an update tomorrow.

I made a caramel mousse and almond brittle today - definitely a recipe for the MN retreat.

swallowedAfly · 16/06/2013 21:08

enjoy yourself.

i think i'm weird as gin makes me relaxed and happy and really mellow.

JaxTellerIsAllMine · 16/06/2013 21:40

ooh fabulous! Snogathon. Enjoy yourself.

FryOneFatManic · 16/06/2013 21:56

imtheonlyone I don't normally wander into relationships but I saw your scone recipe and would add a variation I use. I tend to divide dough into 2 balls, flatten into large rounds and mark into quarters with a knife. Bake and when cool you can break the rounds into quarters and no waste.

I was given this idea in Cornwall as I was told scone dough shouldn't be overworked and this cuts down on working. Grin I do this a lot cos DS loves plain scones.

Cabbageleaves · 16/06/2013 22:07

My mum used to cut her cheese scones. I can remember them being triangular shaped and yummy

LittleEsme · 16/06/2013 22:38

Scones and snogging.
Luuuuurvely Grin

That's the weird thing SaF - I've drunk Gin as a treat for years and years and it's ALWAYS mellowed me out, with zero hangover or negative after-effects, except this morning. I was extremely low. Perhaps it's a combination of lots of things, but I've not felt like that after a G&T before.

Excuse appalling spelling earlier too.

LNM, check in when possible pleeeease. Even if it is only for me to grin over your snogging session.

Bloody enjoy it, Woman. You deserve it.

Cabbageleaves · 16/06/2013 22:48

I'm sure the correct advice is to be single for a bit until you've recovered from the relationship breakdown.

In my case a bit of no commitment quality sex worked wonders however.

I'd highly recommend it

Cabbageleaves · 16/06/2013 22:48

And scones

Not so much the gin here but scones definitely

LoserNoMore · 16/06/2013 22:50

Quick update, I'm at his for coffee. His place is spotless, had such a laugh tonight. I haven't proper laughed for a long time. He's just away to get changed into his 'comfies'. If he strolls in wearing a onesie its game over.

OP posts:
ChipsNEggs · 16/06/2013 22:55

So pleased you're having fun, it really is just what you needed.

So onesie is a game over, but what if its a leopard print thong?

LittleEsme · 16/06/2013 22:57

I've just snorted tea up my nose LNM.
Onesie (oh the mental image) Grin
Delighted that you've had a good laugh this evening. Bloody chuffed for you, in fact.
I can go to bed now, feeling pretty pleased for you.
Nice one.

ChipsNEggs · 16/06/2013 22:58

Also, what is your opinion on these:

Not sure I'm going to be able to sleep for the suspense of knowing if it was a onsie or not

You lot are ace!!

LNM - good on you!! More updates please WinkWink!!!!!

imtheonlyone · 16/06/2013 23:11

Ps - gonna try that scone thing - thanks for that tip Grin

Areyoumadorisitme · 16/06/2013 23:19

Dying to know what the 'comfies' turned out to be!

ChipsNEggs · 16/06/2013 23:23

That LNM has not yet updated saying she is in a taxi after suddenly 'remembering' that she left the iron on I reckon it's not a onesie.

I'll put £5 on a dinosaur posing pouch.

Areyoumadorisitme · 16/06/2013 23:24

Yes, she's clearly still there! And busy......
Hope you're having fun! Grin

swallowedAfly · 17/06/2013 07:15

i hope you gave you some comfies to put on too and you got very, very comfortable and are now being treated to a cup of coffee in bed. i'm pretty sure she'd have messaged us if she left don't you think? Grin

swallowedAfly · 17/06/2013 07:19

i think the best to be single bit applies more when it turns out you have some issues and really need to analyse and deal with how you got yourself into situation x or why you put up with y or did z etc. in this case i don't think lnm really has issues and i don't see her as the kind to run to another man to avoid dealing with reality or to avoid herself so if this guy is kind and good and fun and let's her take things at her pace and treats her well then i reckon why the hell not.

i think that's probably why none of us are going arghhh alarm bells ringing etc.

blimey it's a blumming delight to support someone who actually is quite healthy and does have some self respect and isn't going to go back for more shite isn't it?

all of this is entirely your ex's loss and entirely his doing lnm. it doesn't reflect on you at all imo. there is no reason why you should let this make you think badly of yourself or see it as being the end of the world in any way.

Cabbageleaves · 17/06/2013 07:41

C'mon LNM. We don't need the details...just the summary

JaxTellerIsAllMine · 17/06/2013 07:42

well said SAF It is a delight when someone 'takes no shit' and doesnt allow themselves to be sucked back in. That takes serious balls, self esteem and a big ole head flick of coz Im worth it! Grin

Good on you LNM, hope you had a onesie free evening and had some hot snogathons and maybe more...
