Yes, they left on Friday and are home now. It was particularly heartwarming to be near Tower Bridge as my DD1 was married there. Such a wonderful day!

Yeh, where is Kitty?

jynier · 10/06/2013 04:13

your dog has a better bed than my DS stars Grin [shameful indecision leads to no bed again]

jynier · 11/06/2013 01:53

Hi, guys! So ironic ...I really want to stay awake tonight as electricity meter has a life of its own and doesn't want to switch over to cheap rate; am monitoring it but have an overwhelming desire to go to bed! This is the 2nd new meter in 3 years but it is not working properly! Also, storage heater came on during early evening (so wrong) and is red hot! Immersion heater has not yet activated! (We're all on Economy 7.) Well done, EDF!

cafecito · 11/06/2013 02:08

oh always the way jynier, can you kip tonight and monitor another time?

I just realised my post number - which is freaky as I bought lunch earlier and the total was.... yep.. I am so superstitious Shock I actually was buying apples in waitrose earlier and stood there counting them to check that the numberwas acceptableConfused well, I have to be up really early. Contemplating staying awake!

cafecito · 11/06/2013 02:09
Smile

watching tv online when I am supposed to be studying. oops.

jynier · 11/06/2013 02:09

... it's a bit of a relationship problem, isn't it? (Trying to justify my post on here!)

Hope that you're all ok!

jynier · 11/06/2013 15:53

Such good news today about vulnerable witnesses - see Clairecoo's post of Sunday 12-May-13 at 10:09:58.

SummerDad · 11/06/2013 23:28

Hi All again, sorry for being so lazy I just turn up here and then disappear.

Cafe Thanks for wishing me happy Father's day. What are you up to these days Smile, apart from 26 hours of medicine study per day.

Jynier, I might be awake tonight looks like, but you never know :)

MrsShrek3 · 12/06/2013 00:59

anyone awake?
good luck if any of you can sleep Grin

cafecito · 12/06/2013 01:13

I decided, not to panic, as I can double my study time.. if I don't sleep at all Grin

I overslept hugely today and consequently missed 3 lectures and 2 tutorials [eeeek] then finally went to library. Am now at home as library shut a while ago, have downloaded more random music (an expensive way to procrastinate, from my latest bank statement, oops) and have decided my table is the wrong height for studying (too high) and the lighting is awful (too dark) so.. er,,,, I am here instead

how is everyone?

I am in some research project tomorrow and the day after and have a whole pm in the basement doing ghouly things Smile

anyone any good at statistics and can give me an instant online crash course?

MrsShrek -how are things with DH and DCs now?

Dad! Smile

Jynier!I thought of you the other day when was in some kind of tutorial on drug administration and the different types of HRT

cafecito · 12/06/2013 04:28

peers in, sees that stars has gone to bed and is no longer guarding the door.. looks around for steel toe boots.. thinks coast is clear.. runs in... HAS A PARTY WITH THE BUTLER... REEEEALLY LOUD MUSIC PLAYING.. LOTS AND LOTS OF Wine

BlueyDragon · 12/06/2013 05:45

My crash course in statistics for you, cafe (Part 2 of my soon-to-be published lecture series "The Concise Guide to Just About Anything", building on the overwhelming success of "Part 1: Criminal Law in 30 Seconds").

Always invert stats for a balanced picture (also helps when reading Daily Fail headlines. And always check the detail of the criteria for composing the stats. All stats are rubbish.

Hmm, the above may not help much!
