Best wishes!

jynier · 28/05/2013 02:18

No posts for 24 hours; v. strange!

Minimammoth · 28/05/2013 08:17

Bank holiday effect I reckon. Back to work here. DG grumpy this morning, I definitely need to wind up. On the plus side The Fluff seems to be a bit better, she is putting her foot down a little more and attempted to do a three legged run down the garden!

themidwife · 28/05/2013 08:29

Morning!! I'm in London! Went to the best gig of my life lady night (Macklemore) & got pointed out twice with my friend in our Same Love t shirts. Can hardly walk this morning & voice gone but IT WAS WORTH IT!! Off to Bowie is at the V&A today & then Depeche Mode tonight! Yay!
Hope you're all ok! X

Morning Im in Scotland Grin

Already walked the dog on the beach for a hour running around the rock pool chasing seagulls and that was just me had a stop at Grenta Green on the way up here dd and dds bf got some fab pics.
Weather clearish still so waiting for the others to wake up so listening to a scottish dawn chours with seagulls and watching baby rabbits do their morning run outside the window of the chalet

KittyAndTheFontanelles · 28/05/2013 09:19

You can hardly walk, themidwife? Shock. Exactly what went on at this gig? Wink Sounds like a great weekend.

mini, I'm so sorry to here about your in laws and their mental and physical health issues. Sad Sad So, so sad and you must feel so impotent. It's true that they have done so well to live independently to such an age but I don't suppose that is any comfort. What are the chances that they could be moved down to you? Are the other siblings wanting them to stay close as well?

Firstly, hope that all of you who are going through the most dreadful trials are coping! Sending heartfelt best wishes!!!

Couldn't see my family for a few days as XH was here; I now have a chest infection combined with an outbreak of cold sores. Won't be able to see anyone or attend the family bbq at my sister's on Saturday.

DD1 is leaving the county on Sunday.

Grrrrr!

MrsShrek3 · 29/05/2013 01:13

early party again... missed it ? Hmm

KittyAndTheFontanelles · 29/05/2013 08:09

jynier, can I recommend Compeed patches. They are very good. I use them when I have a cold sore. They cover it up, help it to heal and if it covers the cold sore properly, will stop cross contamination.

Waves to Mrs. How are things at the swamp?

Littlekitty slept for over 10 hours again. I don't know what we are doing right but I like it! Muss our night time banter though.

Is there a way you can get to barby, and look after yourself as well, Jynier? You may not be infectious by then.
Great news on the sleeping Kitty. Keep up the good work. It would be good to get kitty little, into a routine before new baby arrives.
DHs elder siblings, have got themselves in gear and are now communicating on his parents care, so that is good. I don't know what's up with me, I feel so flat and tired. It's an 'office' day today so I can go at my snail pace.
I want to be on holiday with the Stars. Only Midwife is having a party Shrekie, and she didn't ask us Wink

themidwife · 29/05/2013 08:55

Next time!! I dare you!!

Minimammoth · 29/05/2013 11:50

Me too. Am hunched over the VAT return. Arghhh. Stopping for tea and biscuit. Hands round digestive which I am telling myself are virtually healthy and have no calories if dunked.

themidwife · 29/05/2013 12:11

On train back from the big smoke. Absolutely exhausted!! The David Bowie is exhibition was amazing - Depeche Mode fantastic as ever (although hate the London O2 Arena) but surprisingly the highlight of the trip was Macklemore - I can honestly say I've never sung, danced, shouted & laughed so much at a gig! It was awesome Smile

starsandunicorns · 29/05/2013 13:02

Midwife thats sounds a fab time. Just waiting for dd to top up her fake tan ( dont ask) so I can got and collect shells and pebbles from the beach with her and dp takes dd's bf to the pub

cafecito · 29/05/2013 22:48

*waves

themidwife! I was at the O2 the other day, no fun shenanigans though

I have been somewhat awol

sorry to hear about the family situation mini, so very difficult. Have you seen Iris? We have training in elderly and dementia care and issues and the hardest part of all is the effect on the carer

I am completely exhausted with workload. think - lectures til 9pm every night. eurgh. I won't get a single day off til the third week of june as weekends are jam packed with courses and things and sign off sessions

I shouldn't moan, I am lucky to be on the course in the first place, but it's a very real possibility I will have to retake the year, so I am in a grumpy underworld of grump and biochemistry at the moment and wish I had stayed at my old job [hazy rose tinted recollections]
