Yes it's the change in season - the goats get feisty!

By the way - if you google Sootikins our thread comes up on page 1!! Blush

Cafe - your life is indeed the makings of a book! I have a friend in RL like that - EVERYTHING happens to her!!

Mini - chips are the only way IMO! hence my big arse BlushBlush

themidwife · 25/05/2013 07:44

Morning Bluey & Mini - yes I'm dehydrated too! Strange!

KittyAndTheFontanelles · 25/05/2013 08:20

themidwife, big arses are great Grin. I never understand why women want small or no arses. Confused

I'm sorry your husband is being selfishSad

I've invested in a massive goat sharpener for the back garden. Feel free to send your goats round for maintenance everyone.

mini, Happy Anniversary Wine I hope you managed to have a special chip fuelled day despite current happenings. Chuck some bread and cake over here if you will Smile

cafe, as always, what the crap? Shock Shock Shock You definitely need to write your book. It would probably make you a lot more money that doctoring Grin

Hi bluey, have a lovely big guzzle of fizzy water, I find that the most hydrating. I bet it was worth it though Wink

Grin at kitty greeting the world; my mind is boggling at what goat sharpening equipment might look like! And do Parcelforce take goats as well as small children? stars, have you ever been asked to distribute livestock?

Takeaway was good but necessary as we have no kitchen (builder induced, replacement kitchen on the way but not for 3 weeks!)

Minimammoth · 25/05/2013 09:36

Bluey, goat sharpening implement would look like a huge pencil sharpener, whilst being tickled, the goat, that is. Either that or goat has to be wrangled and horns presented to sharpening wheel.. too cruel.
Am making cakes for ILs poor MIL does not know what is happening, after 10 days of visiting FIL in hospital she still does not know where he is and thinks she is not in her own home, as strangers are going in to care for her.Sad
I shall meek a special thread cake with Goat decoration and you can all lick the spoon.

jynier · 25/05/2013 23:55

Hi, guys! Hope that you're all ok! Am sooooo bored! Mega hay fever yesterday; everyone was giving a wide berth to me at bus station because of constant sneezing! Did anyone else suffer? Apparently, the heavy rain washed pollen from the trees. I have never experienced this h/f until fairly recently

MrsShrek3 · 26/05/2013 01:29

Hi doc, how's the work going? Smile

We are off to see the fish again today, then off to a carvery with my parents. All you can eat - perfect for littlekitty the glutton Grin. I don't know where she puts it, the little scrap. She must have her daddy's genes. Wink

Ahhhh my DD (9) was in a dance show at big hilly theatre last night. It was great! 34 dances I watched mind you so it was a long night! Then for a pizza with her & my exH (the one before the current) which was hard due to our history but DD loved it. Smile

we are returned. That was the hardest few house I have ever spent. MIL constantly asking the same question every 30 secs. Us trying to explain patiently what is happening. Care team have fixed an alarm on the door, so she can't go out without alarms going off. Can't understand why she can't go out. She does not know where she is, where she lives. Poor poor MIL. FIL is looking very frail, but almost relieved to be in hospital being cared for. He is exhausted. < I now see why>
No idea how this is going to pan out. Ideal would be for them both to move into care nearer to us. But god knows how that's gonna happen.
So so glad to be home.

themidwife · 26/05/2013 21:26

Oh Mini I'm sorry - that's really tough all round. I hope you're ok!
I was in M&S today & saw an elderly couple in the cafe & then in women's clothing. She was senile & difficult & her poor husband was pretty frail himself but having to patiently look after her & repeatedly answer the same questions. I felt really sorry for him - he also looked exhausted. Sad

MrsShrek3 · 26/05/2013 21:28

Sad mini
we needWine

Minimammoth · 26/05/2013 21:44

Am having Wine mrs. How is your MIL? DH is feeling v. wobbly. It is a miracle that both his parents have lasted this long being independent into their 90s. It's hard to watch though.
On the good side I did have a little time with my gorgeous gd2, cute as a button, and at the other end of life.

MrsShrek3 · 26/05/2013 21:56

mil very poorly. had bowel operations (x2) and critically ill in ICU, on vent etc. much screaming and crying from dh in the last 24hrs. he absolutely can't cope. he is still not mentally recovered from his own chemo tbh.

MrsShrek3 · 26/05/2013 21:58

mini your poor mil sounds so disorientated. having them nearer you and both looked after sounds ideal. possible?

jynier · 27/05/2013 00:17

mini and mrs - So sorry for your ordeals! Sending best wishes, x
