How is gastric band doing Midwife? Yesterday I ate rubbish and had a kitkat, pack of biscuits and almost a whole pack of Jaffa cakes. So much for trying to lose some lbs.FIL has had his op, has come through , but it's early days. Fingers crossed.

Gastric band loosening slightly & ate more and drank like a fish last night at a retirement meal so will listen to the CD in bed tonight although I've eaten small portions today - I've been making half the usual amounts & leaving some.

I had deep acupuncture for my plantar fasciitis this morning which was gruelling but better than hydrocortisone injections I'm sure. Came home & went to bed & slept for a couple of hours but still feel wiped out. So it will be an early night for me!

How is everyone else?

Hi Midwife. Apparently FIL has had soup! The family are rallying to try to sort arrangement for What might happen in future as they will be unable to look after each other, I think. Did you get my pm btw?
I am going to go on our planned holiday at least for a few days cos I am really tired. DH will stay home to visit his dad and mind the Fluff.

I'm sorry I've not been around much recently. I have been reading but not able to post for one reason or another. Mostly because I'm exhausted and can't think if any sensible to say, also because littlekitty has been having trouble settling and I find posting distracts her. There's a tiny buzz when I use my keypad which I can't switch off.

Mini I'm so sorry about your father in law It sounds like he's stayed independent very late in life which is a credit to him. I don't suppose that is any consolation now

I keep waking in the night but know that if I start posting that'll be it so have been going back to sleep.

Feet a bit better today but tender from the needles. She thinks we'll need another session next week as its a chronic problem.

I've always found acupuncture to be fab - have you had it before, midwife? Reaches the parts Western medicine doesn't reach IMO. Reflexology is also good but probably not for plantar fasciitis!

Yes I've had it many times before with the same wonderful practitioner. She turned my last baby who was breech with acupuncture & moxibustion within 20 minutes.

Hi guys! Had a huge burst of energy and put things straight which had been neglected due to my miserableness (am not even sure if that's a real word)!

DD1 will be here tomorrow (have not seen her for over 2 1/2 years) with her husband and MY GRANDDAUGHTER (yay - will meet her for the first time; she's over a year old)!

Have been tracking their flight; think that they have left LA now. Am so excited!

Obviously, am thinking of you all and sending my very best wishes; just can't wait for tomorrow!
