The first one started by a bloke?

OP posts:
KirstyWirsty · 06/05/2013 00:04

I wondered if it was a Scottish one .. The other round here is 'do you think I came up the Clyde in a banana boat'

Toni2710 · 06/05/2013 00:20

Evening all. So many posts to red!!!

Yay for all the happy reports tonight! Pom, hope you're ok (sorry still new year do cant remember everyone's username to address you each individually and not miss anyone out on my phone). Sounds like today has been good on the most part.

After an absolutely awful past two days arguing with the ex, had a surprising lovely impromptu date tonight. Only my second OD but much better than the first. He was pretty good looking (will have to overlook the dress sense for now though). Think a second date may be on the cards. Do have a date lined up with someone else on wed though.

I actually love that winefiend! Go you!

Secretservice · 06/05/2013 00:28

But we're the snogs hot enough to melt your iron knickers Wine?
Good news on the date front Toni always a great antidote to asset exes!

Secretservice · 06/05/2013 00:29

Arsey exes! Asset exes would be a whole different ball game Grin

Toni2710 · 06/05/2013 00:36

If only for asset exes. Can't actually think of when an ex (or my ex) could be an asset. Haha.

Bless, OD guy is trying to play it cool (badly). Feel so much better after that date though. Even though nothing happened but random chatter!

Flipper924 · 06/05/2013 00:42

Chin up, Pom. The sun will be shining tomorrow, and your DD will be on the mend (there's a horrible sickness bug going around here, luckily I've escaped so far).

I've been doing flirty chatting online with Wedding snogger from a couple of weeks ago, with talk of finishing what we started. I sooooo would. If only he lived closer. Oh well, a bit of flirting is nice.

Whyyyyyyyyyy does he live so far awaaaayyyyy??

Toni2710 · 06/05/2013 00:44

How far is he flipper?

DaydreamDolly · 06/05/2013 00:46

Yay OWW! This was third date dinner at his wasn't it? I'm definitely shaving my legs for my third date on Tuesday with Mr TallDark&Handsome Smile
Have had a lovely day and evening with great friends. And Mr TD&H texted saying that if I got lost and ended up anywhere near his place I should let him know... I resisted all urges as my iron knickers are on! Now feel slightly disappointed but also a bit virtuous Blush

KirstyWirsty · 06/05/2013 00:48

Kiltykilty has been binned .. He is quite surprised! He told me he was busy last night and couldn't see me and then didn't do anything .. yeah right..it's been the only time he hasn't been logged on POF ..

Wine a bit of Vaseline will help the nose

Flipper924 · 06/05/2013 01:40

Over 2 hours, Toni. It's ok, he's just the first bloke I've actually fancied in years. I must look at this as a sign that my libido is returning, rather than worrying about what I can't have.

Ooh, good news all round from tonight's dates! Will want to know more in the morning.

Good for you, Kirsty. You don't need to be messed around like that.

Sorry it wasn't everything you hoped for, Wine, but it was better than last weekend, because it didn't involve him. You can't force something if it in't there, but maybe without the pressure it could be different?

JulietteMontague · 06/05/2013 09:16

OWW and Kin GrinGrin

Wine I think Sudocrem on the nose is a bit of a result Wink

Waving to everyone else on the thread, that thing about Bank Holidays it's rarely what it looks like. I have lots of photos of outings with DS 'stepdad' and in all of them I can remember him spoiling it in some way Hmm

Pomegranatenoir · 06/05/2013 10:39

Morning all,

My little girl is a bit better and I have managed to pull some plans together for today. Hate feeling low, find it such a waste! Also hate staying in the house. Feels like a non stop conveyor belt of tidying, feeding and cleaning!!!

I think I am going to delete pof and match. Really nothing happening for me in either of them. Messaged loads of men this weekend and no replies. I don't think I am trying to punch above my weight but obviously they do!! I only get messages from overweight older men. And I think they are messages that they send to anyone. I must be going wrong somewhere but I feel quite fragile about it all at the mo so think I should have a break!!

Glad to see there is so much success on the thread. It's gives me hope!!

Happy bank holiday everyone Smile and yes you are all right that it is better to be single and living an honest life than living a life of lies and cheating!!

ALittleStranger · 06/05/2013 10:56

Pom a break may well be a good idea. If it stops being fun etc...

I'm thinking of vetoing anyone who is new to OD. I think people need to acquire a certain amount of realism before they can get the most out of it. I'm sick of people who are clearly hitting up everyone in the sweetie shop and expect fireworks on every first date.

Does anyone else sometimes read their own profile and wish they could just date themselves? Grin

Bant · 06/05/2013 11:01

I believe that's called narcissism. But if I swung both ways, I would.

Oh whoops so it is. Oh well, I still dislike my thighs, I think I'm allowed to balance that out with a bit of narcissism. Blush

I think there's a Red Dwarf episode something like that Bant, when everyone gets their ultimate object of desire, and Cat gets Cat.

Hello everyone from me and my glowing nose, Pom, OD interest is cyclical, don't let it get you down.

I'm back home now, that all went quite well, although Showbiz is a talker, and not an excitingly filthy talker, it's like being seduced by Swiss Tony. He is, however, terribly considerate and appears to be on some sort of 'sponsored orgasmathon' so it would be churlish not to help out.

ike1 · 06/05/2013 11:26

Gonna catch up with you all in a bit as there seems to be some rather interestig 'love action' going on. I have exchanged some e-mails with Mr Ruse...he is a bit slow to message but reasonably humorous. owever last night when pissed after the pub I sent him a quick message re 'fun', this morning at 7:30!! Message in inbox suggesting a meet up. Well obvs its like that then...what do peeps think?

ike1 · 06/05/2013 11:28

I am not sure if it is him or his fab artwork that I am interested in though....
