Wine for bluey and all! yay that's fantastic news Grin
all the more reason for a paaaarty!

stoic so sorry you were upset on another thread, I didn't see the thread in time, but of all places - Shock you need lots of hugs and kindness right now Sad Thanks xxx

harriet sorry you're not very well. you were right, I did do the surgery Shock I suspected it would be as midwife said and lots of peering in,but no, they made me do stuff - which is why it was so freaky and scary. I wasn't unattended of course, consultant was there telling me what to do - but oh my goodness terrifying, I was under the mistaken impression that that didn't happen til postgrad Confused

had an exhausting few days, ex P mayhem, I have also acquired a stalker Hmm which was not very nice yesterday evening as he followed me across London Shock and I got whacked super hard in the shins by a patient today. why did I leave my comfy office!

kitty I have a kind of minky tan pair, matte and soft.. and a dark navy pair, less soft... so confused by them Smile I get excited by .... drum roll... blue shirts. yes. shirts. have dozens. not cool.

MrsShrek3 · 25/04/2013 23:32

jynier · 25/04/2013 23:39

Oh! Bluey, - such wonderful, amazing and glorious news!!! Good on yer, kid! Was thinking about you all day! x

cafecito · 26/04/2013 00:02

Confused Grin

jynier · 26/04/2013 00:14

cafe - Sorry that you are going through so much in your life! Did you report the stalker? If not, you probably should.

Come and live in CG; it's beautiful here!

Will see you at the party; I've ordered a fireguard to keep the little ones safe from any sparks from the crackling log fire!

Best wishes to you all and can't wait to see you tomorrow! Guess that the fancy dress will be a bit hit-and-miss as we never finally decided on a theme!

Am off outside to take some pics of the full moon on my new 'phone! Never had a touch screen before! It may sound weird but we have beautiful old fancy chimney pots here; am trying to get a good pic which will show the brickwork silhouetted against the moon!

(Note to self:- "Get a life!")

BearsInMotion · 26/04/2013 02:50

I don't know Jynier, I think that sounds cool, but then I have Facebook friends who regularly share astronomy photos and I think thst's cool too!

Great news from Bluey! My mum had very aggressive breast cancer a few years ago - four in fact because this week she had a checkup and was told after next year she'll be considered pretty much in the clear! Hard to remember how ill she was, watching her chase Babybear around the park, who was a twinkle in the eye then!

Sorry to here about the stalker cafe, sounds scary :( And stoic, hope you're ok Thanks

Just me awake in Chez Bear, Babybear didn't sleep much at nursery and passed out about 8, wondering if she'll sleep through Shock

Looking forward to the party! Is there a hot buffet? I could bring a veggie chilli and some nachos? Not sure on the fancy dress front, need something to match my lovely shoes!

jynier · 26/04/2013 03:11

Hi, Bears!

Wonderful that your mother is better now! Sending best wishes to you both; must have been dreadful for your whole family.

Of course there will be a hot buffet; will prepare food in the slow cookers in the morning! Two of my DCs are vegetarian (thought that it was a "phase" but it has been many years now for both of them; admire them greatly!).

The originator of this thread, SummerDad, has not replied but am still hoping that he will attend!

Hope that you have a good night and that little Babybear does sleep through. I was always fine if I could get 4 hours uninterrupted sleep when the children were young!

Sadly, did not get any decent pics and it is v. cloudy now!

(Kosher food will also be available; have many Jewish friends!)

BearsInMotion · 26/04/2013 03:18

I know what you mean re: 4 hours, had that already tonight and if I'm awake now till sunrise I know I can survive the day!

It's raining here now, enjoying listening to the sound on the roof!

Will make sure I have enough veg in for the chilli. I assume this is an all night party ? Grin

MrsShrek3 · 26/04/2013 03:29

oooh, a partyGrin

jynier · 26/04/2013 04:06

Yes, MrsShrek3! Paaarteee time!!! All nighter, Bears.

Beautiful food from many different cultures, excellent music, exceptional guests, amazing outfits (and shoes!)! Can't wait!!!

Trains will be met to bring you to CG (cafe is the co-hostess).

MrsShrek3 · 26/04/2013 04:22

give lily a high five from me. profiteroles are my favourite Grin
(visions of jynier high fiving a ninety year old Shock and blaming random ogre on internet forum Grin Grin )

sigh. why are we all up?Hmm

MrsShrek3 · 26/04/2013 04:41

jynier · 26/04/2013 04:46

MrsShrek3 · 26/04/2013 04:56

got a Brew as well. and a dd sleeping on me, I found her on the floor Confused

themidwife · 26/04/2013 07:20

"Trains will be met" - eeeek it's like going to Hogwarts for the first time!!

Shall I bring some magic sweets like they have on the buffet trolley on the Hogwarts Express!

If it's a hot spicy buffet how about my piece de resistance - my Thai fish curry. Rice or noodles?

Cafe - how terrifying!! Were your hands shaking?!! You're obviously impressing them if you weren't standing on a crate like all the other students! Wink

themidwife · 26/04/2013 07:21

PS I want to be Lily's friend too!

Minimammoth · 26/04/2013 07:59

Erm. Lumpy Itchy mini here. Can I have a plate of something without tomato, chilli, potato, peppers and such. Also avoiding smoked, and additives. I'll bring a plate of lettuce< plays for sympathy>Grin
Seriously though I am lump city this morning and notice that I often am on a Friday. I often eat in local cafe in Hobbiton on Thursday, simple healthy food largely, I wonder if its something in their salad dressing.
Today I am making buns for my Dgd2 I will make extra for the party.

Harriett - Eton Mess is my favourite!! Smile

Mini - I wonder what could be in the dressing? Nut oil or mustard maybe?

I'm going to wear a flowing silver negligee & a matching feather trimmed robe & kitten mule slippers & float about like Grace Kelly Smile

But with much bigger hills!! Wink

Minimammoth · 26/04/2013 15:55

I think I am going to look out of place as a cauliflower then, even with my tiara and red stilettos.
I might politely enquire about the dressing, they already know of my quirks and leave out tomatoes from salad.
I am now a bit scared of Cafe Grin sorry to hear about possible stalker though. Carry a scalpel about your person. < probably best ignore that> choc buns are done, complete with butter cream, flowers and glitter. themidwife I hope you will be warm enough.

Ah yes Harriet, I forgot about the roaring fire. Love the vamps and veg theme, I don't want to be a lone voice for the veg kingdom though.
< slightly excited aside, frog spawn has at last appeared in our pond, hoorah for the frogs, they made it through winter, I was worried about them>
