Thankyou all so much i am sooo pleased ref work i have been smiling like a cheshire cat all day and to top it off i also get a hours lunch break OMG !!!! The supply guys have been fab i asked if they would remove a bit of funtuire that wasnt needed and they did and they think its great that im sorting it out though they were a little shock when i asked for polish and duster to clean i did a small audit of all the supplies etc removed stationary that wasnt needed i am so happy think it more of that that i have shown that i am a good worker and they could a chance on me and not just put me down beacause im angency and let me show them my knowledge

dd has hypermobility, internal tibial torsion and flat feet, which is a painful combo. afaik none of the conditions are individually that serious, but together they're horrible and limit her mobility Her friends are lovely and combine running games for short spells (til she falls over) with other less demanding stuff.

Will that change as she grows mrs does she have physio?

dd doesn't have physio but sees orthotics regularly (ortho boots) been referred to paed orthopaedics consultant at children's hospital now tonight she's settled tfft just hope no 3am screamers tonmight.

Littlekitty has indeed been behaving herself although billy wind woke her a few times last night but she was easily resettled. I'll buy her a bus ticket the moment she starts the sleepless nights again so expect her to knock on

mrsshrek, rubbish about finances. I wasn't given respite care with DD and had to leave city job, no help at all (though I went back, it involved 18 months no pay) I didn't get assistance as useless P was still floating about so worst of both. It was a huge financial disaster, had to move somewhere at own expense occ therapy- approved etc etc, I feel awful saying that now, but the consequences of illness are just so far reaching. I'm sorry about DH's work issues. How's your postgrad stuff going?

clogs are ghastly aren't they - these are not the pretty ones kitty, these are the grime covered, awful ones. The cool anaesthetists have orange crocs now though, but not me, I am lowly sharedclogwearer (may invest in crocs as they are washable) I had such sore feet today, I went and bought some HIDEOUS orthopaedic-style comfy black HOSPITAL SHOES on my detour shopping trip way home - and I wore them immediately, such was the agony of my feet!

had a weird day, something VERY weird on a scan but would break confidentiality to post it here - bt no warning, just the most bizarre anatomical anomalies anyone in the department had ever seen! and some more gruesome ortho surgery

Hi, everyone! Was absolutely knocked sideways earlier on to receive the news of the death of another dear old friend; maybe I should not post on here when some of you are experiencing health difficulties. So very sorry if I am upsetting anyone!

Darling friend was so very special; her 3 children and my 3 were exactly the same ages and all went to school in CG. The difference was that my friend and her H were great campaigners for the future of mankind. She would often ring me to ask if I would pick up the children as she was going off to Greenham Common and thought that she would be arrested.

She and her H opened their house to everyone;- asylum seekers, homeless, drug addicts, alcoholics and newly released prisoners ... you get the gist!

They were completely involved in international human rights but also loved their life in CG!

Am not quite sure if I should publicise her name and that of her husband on here but am very proud that we were friends! Will miss her so much.

Oh Jynier sorry to hear that. I wonder if when we reach a certain age we will feel that everyone around us dies - I remember my grandma saying that. She lived to 95.

Cafe I am the anti-Angelina - not in any way even remotely like her. In fact the opposite. Blondish, curvey, blue eyes, normal sized lips, not with Brad. The lot really!!

Oh MrsS, how rubbish about DH's work. We're so lucky, work have only just stopped paying me and have an insurance scheme to top up. Have you tried applying for Employment and Support Allowance? www.gov.uk/employment-support-allowance/overview I didn't even know about it until yesterday - it's £70/80 ppw but better than a smack in the chops.

The Scan is Monday. I'm a bit nervous about the results and the procedure because they had difficulty getting the cannula in last time. I usually have very easy to access veins, but my pre-op prep and scan prep meant I hadn't eaten anything solid for 3 days nor drunk anything for 12 hours, so when they put me in the scanner room which is icy cold to keep the machines at the right temperature, my veins just gave up. Not the same this time, but I can still think of things I'd rather be doing .

On the plus side, DS slept all night last night (still asleep now!) and my DM is coming over this morning. And the weather is lovely. So today is good!

But cafe, why wouldn't you put your train ticket in the fridge?
