Something is in the air, I blame thank the weather. I appear to be stacking up dates at the moment and all with high value targets. And yes I realise I'm stealing the language of international terrorism to describe OD but it feels appropriate!

Went to a quiz tonight with buffy and done if her friends. Buffy was a bit off, and was yesterday in fact. One of her friends was flirting like bejesus with me and I was just smiling and chatting casually back, making it obvious I was unavailable but still being friendly. Buffy was getting more and more narked. I really didn't know what I could do without telling the other girl to piss off. Hmph. First time I've seen her with her local friends and she want possessive or anything, was very standoffish, but also staking her territory if that makes sense.. Odd.
Kind of going off her a bit after that. Strange behaviour

Bant very bad form for a friend of Buffy's to flirt that much with a friend's 'bf', and weird. Maybe there was just a track record with this woman or something. Are you worried there is something serious up with Buffy, I guess she could be trying to withdraw as she knows she is leaving but still. Not much point in second guessing, could you ask her about it?

Morning to (drum roll please) Pom, Mercury Scrazy, Kirsty, HeyBeen, and baby faced Bill

I am trying to fight off a cold, am feeling calmer about work, although the rota has changed again...I've applied for another job, but it is full time Shock with my 3 I don't think it would work. (they say hours are negotiable. WFF is very gullible/naive if you didn't pick that up via my posts).

Go get 'em daters - Roar!!!!

Morning everyone,
Blimey I fell asleep at the wrong time last night then

Velvet - I'm so pleased for you, I really want Cuthbert to get his act together.

Kirsty - I'm reluctant to bring out the crash carp because I reckon you're entitled to enjoy yourself and look forward to Sunday.

Bant that is quite odd, I got the impression previously that Buffy was a bit of a free spirit and not likely to behave in that way so either as Juliette says, she has previous with this particular ( and very poorly behaved ) friend or old Buff is starting to see you as more than a shag pal and would be a crash carp candidate.

Ike - you fox

Juliette lovin' the pedi

Snape are you applying for another post or did I imagine that ?

WFF the hours might be negotiable you know, especially if they really want you.

Hello to everyone else.
Another fast day for me, expect moaning ( I'm in charge at work today, pity them )

There were never such devoted sisters,
Never had to have a chaperone, no sir,
I'm there to keep my eye on her
Caring, sharing...'

My mum is back in hospital. She has a UTI. No where near enough fluids being offered. Didn't really expect it to work, but didn't expect it to go peared shaped this soon.

Plan B. When mum returns home is to employ a full time carer.

Mr R&R came to the hospital with me yesterday. First time he has met my mum. He now realises just how fucking tough this is.

He also met my daughter. She will no doubt give me a very frank opinion later on.

Our lives are merging. Hmm.

Morning all!

Love the thread flirting that was going on last night, sorry I missed the party.

I'm not sure if WFF's Envy at Ike this morning was envy or a portrait, given the avocado talk.

Jules, I'm so excited about your trip to Dutchlandia! Are there any unusual customs at Dutchish weddings that I should prepare for?

Velv, 'Hurrah!' for C! The boy may yet come good.

OWW, when do you meet Indie?

Kirsty, it's meant to be fun! Are you worried you might be getting attached?

Bant, you know my feelings, pet. Buffy was also meant to be fun, but it seems to be getting a bit angsty. I do love a quiz though. Did you win?

Kin and WFF, for goodness sake be careful with your leg-ups and the like, or you'll end up getting hurt and there's nothing more embarrassing than having to be treated by your colleagues! .

Would somebody be good enough to take a look at my profile on OKC and POF, please? Particularly one of you of the male persuasion, if at all possible?

48, what a shame about your Mum, it's such a common problem. I'm really pleased that you can share this with Mr R&R though, rather than running away from him when things got tough. I'm sure your daughter will like him.

48- sorry about your mum. Hope your DS's review us good later.
Flipper - PM me the profile details. Also, Dutch weddings involve the bride arriving at the church inside a giant Edam, and a clog is traditionally smashed before everyone smokes a joint and lines up to put their finger in a dyke. Or something.
Wine- carp is on standby.
Velvet - what time are you seeing C?
Everyone else, hello

Something that occurred to me last night was that the first time you meet the friends of someone you're dating is a Big Thing. Also when you introduce them to yours. Last night did not go well, but then as Buffy is leaving soon I saw it as an opportunity to meet new english speaking people, so it was a success for that, at least. I got invited to a party this weekend, whereas buffy is going to a rave.

I'm too old for rave shit. I'd feel like that episode of men behaving badly.

The other downside to last night was that I did quite fancy a different friend, not the flirter, but she was attached anyway.

Hmm. Can't get used to the FWB thing. The boundaries are just odd.
