"Welovegrapes" - Try the Daily Telegraph site; Sorry, I don't know how to cut and paste! - "Perhaps someone else could sort it out on here!"

cafecito · 15/03/2013 00:07

impossible to find on the telegraph site, buried under hundreds about vicky pryce !

cafecito · 15/03/2013 00:08

but googling the author is your friend -- article here FBI foils massacre plan

jynier · 15/03/2013 00:21

Phew! Tx, cafe! Thought that I was going mad; shared it on FB yesterday. Do any of you have opinions on this story? Was it suppressed for a reason or simply because there was no more newstime?

cafecito · 15/03/2013 00:36

sorry bit distracted- have a tutorial tomorrow and for the life of me I cannot fathom a single question. I get bad naughty stamped on my file if I don't do the work beforehand. But oh my goodness it's impossible even for me Grin beginning to think I have bitten off more than I can chew with the rather tricky bits of medicine - wowzers my brain has melted onto the floor

sulking now cos I am not clever enough Grin

shocking story jynier- I don't know what the motivation in covering it up would be, but no doubt there is some - I don't really have time to read papers at the moment but always read the evening standard/metro and it certainly wasn't mentioned ever. I don't know, I guess the fact it was the FBI that assisted won't go down too well in the UK- what ifs, public panic, hysteria, blabla.. also it was a while ago. and the boy had aspergers and at the moment it doesn't seem clear if this was a reality or a fantasy, and if it was more the latter, is it fair to make a huge deal of it in the press -

all very worrying though isn't it.

also read on the telegraph site, about a woman being eaten by a lion while having sex Shock what is the telegraph coming to !

cafecito · 15/03/2013 00:38

and how he acuired the means, and the discussion of internet safety measures.. and so forth. all very scary to think how many more plots are there right now. how many more attacks happen all the time that we don't hear about, and so forth.

cafecito · 15/03/2013 00:38

cafecito · 15/03/2013 00:41

it's going to be a long night

cafecito · 15/03/2013 00:50

giving up, going to watch the good wife on 4od Blush

ripsishere · 15/03/2013 01:29

Helooo (and goodbye) must.get.on.
Need to go and buy a skirt and top from the fat birds shop, some beer and wine and food, then collect DD from school, console or congratulate re kidney, then get ready for post wedding celebration at the swimming pool...

Minimammoth · 15/03/2013 06:47

Hope all goes well for the tutorial today cafe. I admit I can't bring myself to look up the article jynier I get disillusioned about how the human race is doing.

kittyandthegoldenfontanelles · 15/03/2013 07:45

Well done on sleep catch up babykitty. Gawd. I have woken up with the lump itch scenario today. How? Why? I thought I was so good yesterday, I do monitor ingredients, only thing I had out of norm was a piece of quiche in local caff.Confused I mean .. apart from a very pure gin, nothing untoward passed my lips. Was the kidney a competition? < lost plot>

Midwife99 · 15/03/2013 11:02

I am also confused as usual about the kidney!! Grin

kittyandthegoldenfontanelles · 16/03/2013 04:31

where is everyone?Confused

She's still asleep...shhh!

Smile
Minimammoth · 16/03/2013 04:46

I am here.... Awake. Hmff. Having hot flushes. Baby has never slept for24 hrs, surely you are kidding kitty.

jynier · 16/03/2013 05:04

I'm awake, too, unfortunately!

Hurtling towards an extremely sad anniversary and don't know how to deal with it! Obviously, the date makes no difference about the pain but feel that I should commemorate the loss. Would it make everyone else sad and miserable?

jynier · 16/03/2013 05:13

I mean, "Would it make my family sad and miserable?"

Sort of feel that it's best not to mention it to them but, on the other hand, it happened and it was awful!

Mini - Recommend Lesley Kenton's book about peri-menopause. Title escapes me atm.

Minimammoth · 16/03/2013 05:27

Hi Jynier. Anniversaries are tough I think, perhaps you should commemorate in your own way. I will often just light a candle in memory of someone without saying anything. I am afraid I well post menopause. But thanks for the ref any way. I don't have as many hot flushes as I used to, but just sometimes.

jynier · 16/03/2013 05:46

Mini - thanks for your post, especially for saying that anniversaries are tough! They are. I think that it is difficult because we don't have the crutch of religion or faith to help us through these very difficult times.

jynier · 16/03/2013 05:48

correction - "some of us don't have the crutch of religion ... "

Minimammoth · 16/03/2013 06:38

Have sent my DH down to make tea. So on with the day. Hugs to you.

kittyandthegoldenfontanelles · 16/03/2013 11:44

mini ha ha no!! Good lord no! That's not what I meant. She slept for almost 12 hrs on Thursday night then 8 last night so has been doing really well. I can't work our why sometimes she's a great sleeper and sometimes she has such disturbed nights. She did wake for the day yesterday morning though! sorry that wasn't clear Grin

jynier I have remembered your upcoming anniversary. I know you don't have any religious beliefs but would you mind if I said a prayer and lit a candle for you, your family and your child? Please say if you would rather I didn't and I will respect your wishes. Thanks

rips stop holding out on rhinestone kidney-gate....spill. Blackberry or no blackberry? Are you still nursing your wedding hangover?

starsandunicorns · 16/03/2013 18:39

Yes Rips we all want to know how the kidney did Grin

Hello to all had a crappy night last night got a 5-10 shift but couldnt sleep ended up watching dp play on anrgy birds on facebook once till 1 am then from 3 till 4.30 was up at 6:30 to get 7:20 train to the "pool" as my dp calls it Liverpool for southerns like myself.

Had to exchanged dd's schools shoes as they were the wrong size ended up phoning 3 shops to make sure they had her size so was waiting for the shop to open did a mini shop at the shopping centre then looked liked a stressed out bag lady to the train station Grin

Then like Cafecito I turned into a domestic goddness when I got home I even poilshed !!! And the flat had a good six hours of fresh air though this comes with drawbacks as live above a cafe and had the smell of bacon waffled into the kitchen.

On the verge of sleep now but to early so off to deep clean the deforsted freezer

This sudden influx of domestication is worrying Grin

We pop back if I dont end up snoring over the freezer
