Just wondering ...

Been unwell for about 3 weeks now over did things Friday by going to wilkinsons and the bank knocked me for six. That's part of My worries. I can't afford any time off work and at this rate I won't be going back any time soon.

Waves to the night crew. Getting cabin fever as not been out of flat since thurs as no pennies sigh did get two nights of work last week. Though got a rejection email saying over quaifield for a postroom job sigh ( have work with mail most of my working life).

What's on crapy night telltale I'm in bed listening to dh snore and on My phone its warmer up here.

I've been awake since 1.45 when a car alarm went off. Now wide awake. Great.

Massive life changes going on ( separated from husband, about to move into own place for first time ever) and I am obsessing about tax credits and white goods as avoidance behaviour.

the awakeness of a racing mind with worries, whatever worries it may be going over and over, is really hard to manage. I don't get that so much now, I tend to fuzz it out somehow, but I used to - like 10 years ago had this whirring inability to sleep as my mind would go over and over and over stuff, went to my GP demanding a drug to stop me thinking!

sorry about the 'overqualified' thng stars - chub, rubbish to be awake but understandable - you are facing huge life changes (probably 2 of the top 3 or so most stressful life events at the same time) think obsessing about stuff as avoidance behaviour makes quite a lot of sense

Are you one of the Southern Hemisphere MN crew or sleepless too cafe?

I found it hard to even think about the simplest of things in My 2 1/2 days sleeping was just exhausted it was nice in that way. Just going over and over the same things in My mind now, mostly how I can sort out My bills that need paying when I don't know how long ill be off work for. I know ill sort something I always do but it doesn't stop My mind going over it all.

Do you get any kind of sick pay? statutory sick pay, even?

alas I am in the northern hemisphere and just never sleep chub!

At the moment me and the 2dc are crammed into my mums tiny house with her, been here nearly a month. We move next week and I cannot wait. Am just racked with anxiety that something will go wrong (tenancy fall through, not so DH decides to be a penis about money/furniture, nuclear strike, anything really). I'm not an anxious person do this is very strange for me.

hi Kitty waves madly im ok just tried to get go to sleep lasted about 30 mins till waking nightmare head seems to be on playback mode of a really stressful time a few years ago.

When im working it doesnt come up but recently it been lukkering. Shitty tv was the police traffic progs that my dp watches hes all snuggled up in bed.

When I get up out of bed due to this thing he always asks what wrong I just say bad dream and he goes ok he did used to say come bac and i will cuddle you till you goes to sleep

But he needs his sleep as his has work tonight.

So I have taken out a wash and hung it up and bunged a new wash in and now in lounge waiting to hear the newsagents shuuters to go up so I can get some ciggies. I would wash up and tidy the cupboards up but kitchen right by bedroom so cant.

Pissed off with job but happy that I got a rejection email as you dont get them often.

I am sitting here working, knowing that I need to wake up in 2 hours time I am dithering about risking going to bed, and sleeping (though this is unlikely) and then oversleeping (would be a disaster)

also irked by my ex-semi-ILs inviting themselves over to poke around my apartment at the weekend. They sent an email saying 'we are coming at x am' no is that okay..

chub, a new chapter for you, sounds like it will suit you much better- how exciting. nervewracking yes- how old are DC?I split up from my partner last year (or the year before, lost count) and had to move out with small child- had nowhere to go initially- but it was the right thing to do. I finally feel more settled where I live.

5 and 18 months. I've never lived alone before, it is in a way exciting but have huge trepidation. Am just desperately hoping we can make a better fist of separation/divorce than we have of marriage.

Chubfuddler please think of it as a new chapter fresh start when I left mine in 2004 my dc were 9 and 7 we didnt have much stuff (i slept on a matterss on the floor for 7 months the lounge funiture came from second hand shops etc I went on benfits for the first time and also was my first time living on my own. We are all ok. I think as mothers we feel we have failed our dc in some way if we have to move away but we are not failures i was told this by my sister "children want to feel loved be warm and dry and food in there belly" I lived by that for some years be kind to yourself too

Dafty dog has decided to join me and is chewing on her new bone (the size of her head ) its a massive though when we gave it to her today she looked like this for a bit with a how the hell do I eat that face but she cracked it

Bless you Kitty. I recall the early starts too my dd1 never did much sleep either dd2 followed suit too. Many a time I would take them for a walk at 6am in the hope they would get tired.

Hi y'all - you had a busy night!! I'm in a tired phase at the moment & do sleep but still feel knackered. Also worrying about things alot. I separated from DH last May. Got back together in August but he won't live with me & DCs despite promising that was the ultimate aim. So need to decide whether to "take me as I am or dump me" as he puts it.
Jynier - it sounds like you really need to share - we are here if you feel you can.
Cafe - did you work all day, all night, all day?!!! How do you manage childcare? You must be completely knackered!!
Kitty - it's tiring but oh so lovely breastfeeding a little snuffler isn't it?
