It will be epic until we all suddenly start taking nytol I guess!

MN can be addictive, I think that's why I quit before. I'm not addicted now but it's nice to have it in moderation Grin

kitty you're a genius with your D fruits

Stairs I don't think I ever saw the 'sleep is for the weak' threads! where have I been!

kittyandthegoldenfontanelles · 03/02/2013 04:23

Noooo you can't all start taking nytol! Not till my baby starts sleeping though at least

Thanks cafe ; like I say, I play this game a lot!

StairsInTheNight · 03/02/2013 04:27

kitty, then i really feel for you. Maybe the Nytol might work? (unless your bf and its not suitable?). I remember saying to the midwife 'Oh im used to not sleeping, being up in the night wont bother me'... bwahahahaha! How that came back to bite me on the arse.

StairsInTheNight · 03/02/2013 04:29

must be a vegetable kitty. No cheating. But thanks for fruit tips i will try to remember them :-)

kittyandthegoldenfontanelles · 03/02/2013 04:30

Yes I'm still feeding stairs

I don't think is have any trouble sleeping if my baby would let me.

My health visitor says it's because I'm still feeding that she wakes though.

StairsInTheNight · 03/02/2013 04:34

im impressed you took such a long break cafecito. I have been here 7yrs and cant imagine not having MN now. My speciality is over planning. Show me a spreadsheet and im all yours :-)

kittyandthegoldenfontanelles · 03/02/2013 04:39

Dill? Technically a herb. I'm stumped. I'm a veg freak too so this is bugging me...must resist google....

StairsInTheNight · 03/02/2013 04:41

How old is your baby? Mine night fed for a long time. I couldnt say no so all advice on stopping was irrelevant. I do remember my Health visitor coming over about a week after i had DS. He woke and started to cry, so i picked him up. She said 'your making a rod for your back there'. Um. Yes. So not got highest opinion of their wisdom.

cafecito · 03/02/2013 04:43

DILL has got to be a vegetable

cafecito · 03/02/2013 04:45

are you BFing? I think that's nonsense about the nightfeeding thing

cafecito · 03/02/2013 04:46

now, DS will not sleep through the night - think, 2am, 3am, 3.15, 4am 'thiiiirsssttyyyy' 'neeeed potttyyy' 'mornign time' 'monster in my room' 'coming down the stairs' NO DS it is morning time in a few hours - it's pitch black outside, go to sleep!

kittyandthegoldenfontanelles · 03/02/2013 04:46

I'm with you stairs

She's almost 15 months. How long did yours feed for? What happened in the end? I'm reading as if yours are older now is that right? Did they self wean or did you have to do something. I don't want to stop but equally know this can't go on forever. Smile

kittyandthegoldenfontanelles · 03/02/2013 04:49

cafethat sounds so lovely ans funny to hear but not to experience I know.

kittyandthegoldenfontanelles · 03/02/2013 04:51

Oops twitchy fingers. She slept beautifully for the first 5 months. I think its since she started teething.

"Morning time" gorgeous!

cafecito · 03/02/2013 04:54

it is cute, but it generally hits when I actually need to sleep Grin and then I try reeeally hard not to be shouty mean mummy.

right, I am away to do some work - back in a few hours! hope you get some sleep or somesuch

*I know I'll be thinking of D vegetables

kittyandthegoldenfontanelles · 03/02/2013 04:56

Ok, I think she's finally settled for half an hour good so I'm going to step away from the thread.

I'm sure I'll see you all in a minute!

Good luck niteowls. See you in a bit or tomorrow

cafecito · 03/02/2013 05:24

argh - ipod is behaving, but the coffee machine just ate all my change and delivered NO coffee. outraged

steps away from thread to brave the basement for additional layers and a new coffee machine, before resuming :)

night!

kittyandthegoldenfontanelles · 03/02/2013 06:41

Up again. So exhausted and freezing too. Not a good night here.

Hope you are warmer cafe

cafecito · 03/02/2013 06:44

I am indeed warmer, but no more productive. I am wondering when I can get some caffeine. I must've wasted about 5 hours earlier have suddenly got a bit daunted by my work :( grumpy cafecito. I'm planning on showering here, and carrying on all day and all night....

cafecito · 03/02/2013 06:46

sorry you're up again - will you get any sleep in the day? is it only you that is up? (sorry, missed if you are exclusively BFing)

cafecito · 03/02/2013 06:48

brain fog- how old is she? I seem to think 14 months?

cafecito · 03/02/2013 06:48

I guess you're not exclusively BFing then, probably teething - can you get DH/P to help you at night?

cafecito · 03/02/2013 06:51

I was very lucky with mine actually at that age so Ihave no words of wisdom. I carried on BFing though until about a year - I think by 10-11 months I had started cups and stuff instead, but there are wrongs in everything too, like bad for teeth and so on - but I guess that might be why they settled themselves back to sleep. also co-sleeping helped me with DC1 never did it with DC2

cafecito · 03/02/2013 06:52

my friend breastfed until her son was 4 Shock ignore your health visitor! (medical advice fail)

cafecito · 03/02/2013 06:53

I guess would be a teething/separation/comfort thing for her at this age Thanks and Brew for you kitty!
