i dont care about spelling. im guessing that is obvious :)

Actually, thats a lie. the wrong their/ yours etc nark me, but not general spelling. My typing is also appalling, and i dont proof read anythong.
lots of people are the same, or tying from smart phones or tablets which have their own ideas on how things should be spelt.

I only avoid the text speakers.

48howdidthathappen · 14/01/2013 18:29

Oh Voice you disappoint. I was waiting for the 'have' Grin

VoiceofUnreason · 14/01/2013 18:32

48 - there was one. See top of this page, but in my haste I typed it to Voice and not 48. Ha ha ha! That'll serve me right!!!! Grin

48howdidthathappen · 14/01/2013 18:34

No. I understood you perfectly. Knew you would 'have' to correct Grin

48howdidthathappen · 14/01/2013 19:11

Oh dear. I slipped into my OD style. Sorry Blush

Ladies (and menz!) mind if I ask a quick question of a dating kind?

Got a 4th date arranged for Sat eve coming, we planned at end of 3rd date (which was on Fri) that next time we'd go for a meal at a nice place in my town. So next day I booked table (as it gets really busy at weekends) but I've not heard a peep from him since Fri nite, when he texted me after he got home! I dropped him a quick, hows you text today - nothing!! We don't send loads of texts but more than 1 in 3 days normally!

So I dunno, do I assume hes coming and still turn up on Sat? Or cancel the table now? I go there quiet a lot and don't want to annoy the place by cancelling last min, but I don't want to have to chase him about if he's still coming or not! Confused

DaydreamDolly · 14/01/2013 21:01

Hey all, still loving hearing about all your dates, I am on the eve of my first coffee date with Mr Slow To Reply tomorrow morning, however as he is so fucking slow to reply we haven't quite ironed out the when and where yet and it's getting on my nerves... should really paint my nails and straighten my hair but can't get the enthusiasm. I was really looking forward to it but his slow replying is really annoying. There doesn't seem to be anyone else I'm even remotely interested in so far though, so the date has to happen, and if it's a damp squid I think I might give up and start again another time! I found the first few days pretty exciting and since then I've found it all pretty depressing Hmm
So, what shall I wear for a coffee date? Jeans, jumper, high heeled ankle boots? Wedges? Oh dear, first date nerves suck... any advice gratefully received....

DaydreamDolly · 14/01/2013 21:03

Jackie tough one, but it's only monday so i'd give it another few days before you write him off. Men can be annoyingly slow to respond (see my post above)
Keep the booking and if you haven't heard by wednesday, invite a girlfriend to go with you instead Smile

jackieq · 14/01/2013 21:10

Thanks Dolly, great idea to invite of of my mates instead, didnt think of that!

Would you try contacting him again, or just make other arrangements if he didn't get in touch by Weds?!

good luck with your date btw :)

VoiceofUnreason · 14/01/2013 21:20

Jackie - think his lack of text is poor but agree with Dolly, it's only Monday. If you've heard nothing by Wednesday use booking with a friend and write him off.

DaydreamDolly · 14/01/2013 21:24

I wouldn't contact, it's a crime to double text! Grin

jackieq · 14/01/2013 21:25

Voice, yeah it is poor I think, I guess he could've changed his mind about Fri and seeing me again but only takes a few secs to text someone to let them know! Same as if he hasnt!

jackieq · 14/01/2013 21:28

Dolly I kinda want to give him one more chance, we finally got round to some kissing on Sat and I was hoping for more of the same on Fri! Blush guess I better hope I heard from him on his own accord!

lubeybooby · 14/01/2013 21:29

That's really poor.

I wouldn't text again but would be starting to plan going with a friend or a nice indulgent night in, instead!

Fair enough he might be crap at responding but leaving it over a weekend is not only rude but makes it look like he's married. He must know that.

jackieq · 14/01/2013 21:29

doh, getting excited remembering the kissing got my days mixed up!

DaydreamDolly · 14/01/2013 21:38

I still need your advice on first date outfit!!

48howdidthathappen · 14/01/2013 21:39

Jackie The teenage feeling is wonderful...but keep your cool.

I too would consider that he may be married.

Dolly Mr slow to reply Grin

jackieq · 14/01/2013 21:43

lubey/48 bit weird isnt it but he's always text me before over weekends, and over Xmas, I know where he lives and defnitely single, maybe I'm a worse kisser than I thought lol!

dolly - jeans and jumper/tunic with some wedge heeled boots maybe?

DaydreamDolly · 14/01/2013 21:44

Jackie maybe he's trying to play hard to get!

48howdidthathappen · 14/01/2013 21:52

Maybe not married then. I am pretty laid back about texting, but after regular texting would find two days odd.

lubeybooby · 14/01/2013 22:03

I agree with 48 - phew at not seeming to be married, but 2 days is weird when it's been so regular.

Talking of weird, I just got a text from Mr iPhone.

Saying he hasn't forgotten me and will arrange a meeting soon

wtf? a meeting? a meeting Do we need a boardroom? Powerpoint?

He'll be shaking my hand next :o

48howdidthathappen · 14/01/2013 22:08

He may ask to see your CV Lubey

jackieq · 14/01/2013 22:23

haha at meeting Grin

yeah, 2 days is odd. He normally texts me daily even if it's just a jokey one liner or have a good day sort of thing. But I've seen him online so I know he's not ill or anything. Just ignoring me apparently!!

DaydreamDolly · 14/01/2013 22:57

Lubey, I can come along and take the minutes if you like?? Grin

lubeybooby · 14/01/2013 23:00

I know!! Good grief. :o

Dolly, go for it. Hahaa
