Sorry.

'proper' proper geek. Very lovely & clever & gentlemanly, but no. He looks a lot younger than 39, beautiful eyes, possibly not quite as tall as he said he has, but no spark! Why no spark?! I'm broken! On paper, perfect...in life no spark! This keeps happening!

ike1 · 09/01/2013 18:52

...but I know what you are saying Snape totally....I do geek but with a ironic edge....some guys are just soo sincerely geeky.

48howdidthathappen · 09/01/2013 18:53

I am not one for 'meals out' bores me to tears. On any date, pay my way.

Oh no Snape small hands. Completely understand.

JulietteMontague · 09/01/2013 18:55

Snape what a shame! How did the leather trenchcoat compare to the gathered peplum biker jacket? he sounded so right, will you stay friends with him?

Scrazy · 09/01/2013 18:55

Oh no Snape, sorry you didn't fancy him.

fayster · 09/01/2013 18:57

Voice, so sorry. That's just heartbreaking.

Snape, what a shame. No chance there could be a tiny smouldering ember waiting to turn into a spark?

ike1 · 09/01/2013 18:57

Juliette you so know it will be one and the same...I have pictures in my head of both and they are not being worn with any irony at all.

watchoutforthatsnail · 09/01/2013 19:02

because hes not what you really want???

i dont know, i hardly ever get any spark. Ive decided im only going to chat to people ( on match or wherever) that i massivly fancy before the date. Noy ust because they seem nice, and we swap nice messages. Unless im getting a buzz, im not going on any date.

Since i have not had a date using this tecnhique, i have no idea if it actually works....

OP posts:
ike1 · 09/01/2013 19:03

I can be an awful fashion twat...soz

ike1 · 09/01/2013 19:05

Its hard when you are a bit into quirkiness cos sometimes it is not the right balance..

MsArsebiscuit · 09/01/2013 19:10

That's a bugger, Snape, I was hoping he'd be perfect.

Perhaps the presence of an item of novelty leather outerwear should be adopted as an indicator of possible compatibility in future dating adventures for us all.

ike1 · 09/01/2013 19:16

Well in mine and Juliette's case we are almost always asked to feel the bloody offending item...fed up of leather...lets try velvet or moleskin or maybe some ironic jumbo cord...

ike1 · 09/01/2013 19:19

....or denim..yes denim....but not double denim (although I know that is making an 'ironic' come back..)

MsArsebiscuit · 09/01/2013 19:21

Ike, do you just want an excuse to feel a man ?

ike1 · 09/01/2013 19:24

Hahaha but he has to be the 'right' 'nice' 'ironic' 'youthful' 'quirky' bloke who doesnt want to 'shag my brains' out ....know anyone???

48howdidthathappen · 09/01/2013 19:25

There is a very fit young man down the road from me, complete with dreadlocks. He wears a leather trenchcoat all year.
When I see him in the summer the thought of what is going on underneath is stomach churning.

Snapespeare · 09/01/2013 19:29

I'm actually quite disappointed. Sad

MsArsebiscuit · 09/01/2013 19:29

If I happen across one, I shall send him your way, Ike.

Ewww, ewwww, ewwww (I had to handle a very sweaty man today. And not in a good way).

ike1 · 09/01/2013 19:29

I was totally with you then 48 till you got to the trenchcoat ...uhuh ...no way...Ill go with flack jacket ...proper old biker jacket ....but no to trench ..sniff

MsArsebiscuit · 09/01/2013 19:30

I can imagine, Snape, it's such a shame.

ike1 · 09/01/2013 19:31

Snapes please dont think we are making light of the situation because actually I really understand..it is really that indifinable the spark and most certainly not a clothes thing.
