Snape sounds intriguing! I am almost bored enough to consider reinstating my OKC profile...but not quite.

ike1 · 09/12/2012 19:34

Dean that is what is wonderful about this thread, that you can have a reply for Wiccan that can give an empathetic response based on experience.

OhWesternWind · 09/12/2012 19:38

Are you going tonight then Ike?

ike1 · 09/12/2012 19:39

48howdidthathappen · 09/12/2012 19:39

48howdidthathappen · 09/12/2012 19:41

ike Sending good vibes Smile

Snapespeare · 09/12/2012 19:44

I could never kiss someone who had eaten marmite.

Maybe my standards need revising.

48howdidthathappen · 09/12/2012 19:46

It was a tough job Grin

Santasapunkatheart · 09/12/2012 19:56

Vegemite though...

(Drifts back in her mind to a very very long time, when she dated a Aussie Rugby League player)

SkaffenAmtiskaw · 09/12/2012 19:56

Oh dear, I'm really rubbish at keeping up with this thread... I have read the most recent posts, but sorry for not giving everyone a tailored response, I'd be here all night...

Today I've had my first really successful first meeting since I started OD! :) We met for brunch, then had a walk, it was really nice, no awkward silences, the conversation really flowed. And, bonus, I do find him physically attractive, which helps! Seems he feels the same somehow as he's txt me to try and arrange a date for next weekend.:) Sadly I can't next weekend and he's busy until after new year, so we'll have to make do with emails until then. :(

Mr Real Ale (he of the freaky eyebrow hair) also got in touch again, after a full week of silence following our meeting, to say he wanted to meet again: weird or what? :s I politely declined...

Poppysquad · 09/12/2012 20:32

Banta not a chance. I checked out the website. He's not logged back in since. I've heard nothing from him either.

I've been in touch with someone else on the site. I wonder if he thinks he's being enigmatic, sending me one liners to my opening gambits. Maybe he's not actually interested, just too polite to not answer?

Date with Engineer organised for early tomorrow evening, after work. DS is at his Dads tomorrow.

Poppysquad · 09/12/2012 22:13

Skaffen how many different men did you meet before this one? Just wondering how long you'd been dating for before you met one possible suitable chap.

BillMasen · 09/12/2012 22:33

Been exchanging some slightly flirty messages with the geeky girl, which is nice. We're just trying to arrange date 2 now. It seems diary co-ordination will be the challenge here as she has 3 kids and I have twins! Looking like a week on Friday. As someone said earlier, you can't force the pace, it will just happen.

48howdidthathappen · 09/12/2012 23:04

skaffen I find alot of the OD thing weird! Have you a name for the new kid on the block?

poppy Mercman. A vanisher.

santa An Aussie rugby player. Good things do happen Smile

bill Date 2!

ike1 · 09/12/2012 23:10

Back from date. Very intelligent guy, nothing wrong with him, no spark.

Movingforward123 · 09/12/2012 23:11

Well I'm thinking about going back on Pof! What do you all think?

Mrworkaholic is a asshole! Next door neighbour guy didn't even text to say he can't make it! So he is an ass!

And I would like to meet a decent guy! Althought that will probably be hard on Pof! I can't be arsed to write another profile, I might do it quickly and update if I decide to stay! Confused

ike1 · 09/12/2012 23:18

Well I would say that the bloke I met from POF was absolutely ok. Highly intelligent, extremely politcally aware, I am just too tired and jaded to get up any interest...

Movingforward123 · 09/12/2012 23:22

Well there doesn't need to be anything wrong with him for there not to be a spark! How many dates have you had from Pof?

I had about 4 or 5 and didn't like any! Although I slept with a couple of them! Confused

ike1 · 09/12/2012 23:24

Yeah I have had about 5. All absolutely nice enuff men...I guess unless they rock my boat in a fairly major way I am fine as I am. It is certainly worth getting out there tho and I am glad I went.

Movingforward123 · 09/12/2012 23:26

So what did you do on your date? Did you stay long?

ike1 · 09/12/2012 23:30

Went for a drink in a local pub for about 2 hrs

ike1 · 09/12/2012 23:33

Chatted about architecture, music, politics all good...not a waste of time at all

48howdidthathappen · 09/12/2012 23:34

ike for me is just doesn't come close to meeting in RL. That buzz you get when you first encounter someone face to face Confused

moving I slept with Mr Fuck, because the time was right. Nine months since I ended it with my ex, needed to move on a little further. I have Smile

Movingforward123 · 09/12/2012 23:36

ike glad you had a nice evening even thought you don't fancy him.

Movingforward123 · 09/12/2012 23:37

48 what happened to mr fuck? Was it only once?
