This was a conversation bought up in the staff room regarding parents and their kids. What's the mumsnet opinion?

I was under the impression that most children models had model parents, or at least partly connected to modelling/ advertising and had to have time for castings ( or whatever they are called) .

DS looks beautiful in the morning
DS has gorgeous brown eyes
DS gives me wonderful smiles
DS learns very quickly
DS likes to charm everyone he meets

I don't think it works terribly well tbh. Clearly I could have said other things about DS, but if I'm determined to make him sound beautiful and clever without using "is" then it's not difficult.

I think my DS is objectively good looking but not outrageously so. I also think my nephew is gorgeous. Like child model gorgeous. My sister was also a beautiful child and he looks just like her.

My daughter is beautiful, inside and out. Of course I think she's beautiful, she's my girl, but others comment on her looks a fair bit. I am always conscious in telling her that she is clever, funny, and charming as I think character is more important in the long run.

But she is likely to grow up to be a cracker, which is a little scary

My DS loves to smile
My DS loves food
My DS loves to feel independent
My DS likes to feel clean
My DS loves walking with his kane
My DS loves cuddles

My DS eats, breathes and adores music

My dd is the most beautiful Grin I think so and people often say so, she is tall, graceful and kind with big eyes and pixie features. Ahh I miss her when she's not around.

Oh dear, I'm one of those parents.

So....I think in answer to the OP - it's yes isn't it?

I also kind of get what the psychiatrist father was saying now, but I don't think it stands up that well either.
