OP posts:
charlottesmum5 · 22/08/2012 10:40

I'm still here, have given up on dating. Resigned to be a cat lady. Have 4 cats now and a pregnant one due to give birth in next couple of days!

snapespeare · 22/08/2012 10:48

i knew the honey-trap would get into the thread title! Grin

yes, obviously changed profile pic to pique my interest. also suspect he has been answering same questions as me as our match percentage has increased to 1% below PM's match percentage if it equalises or surpasses PM's he is getting it with bells on

charlottes hello! I get a great amount of love from my furbabies, couldnt imagine being without them. :)

watchoutforthatsnail · 22/08/2012 10:53

Snape - he wants you. Lol

OP posts:
Lueji · 22/08/2012 10:55

Thank you watch, I was about to start one just to post my reply to Sponge.

Liking the honey traps.

Sponge, he probably overslept and didn't have time to text. :o
My guess is he couldn't sleep when he got home. Wink

What does he normally text in the morning?

But don't over think it. He doesn't have to text at the same time every day. :)
Plus, men are also keener during the chase, and then relax a bit, but it doesn't mean they are not interested.

I think it was a nice text. Have you replied?

snapespeare · 22/08/2012 10:57

one of todays messages on OKC

you've piqued my interest,so i am willing to get to know you better and see if we can go from there if you would like to interact with me it will be an honor, thank you

you're 'willing to get to know me better' huh? thaaaaanks. Hmm

KirstyWirsty · 22/08/2012 10:59

sponge Think you need to chill out a bit - he is just as nervous as you about whether you want date 2 so that is nice without committing to anything! I would go for the reply someone suggested on thread 19

watchoutforthatsnail · 22/08/2012 11:07

Sponge, did you reply? Did he reply back?

Honestly, I'm almost 100% sure you are going to have a second date with him. I Have good feelings about it :)

OP posts:
mercury7 · 22/08/2012 11:38

I was about to reply to hopelessly on the other thread, to say careful with giving him the 'ultimatum'..sounds too much like showing your hand to me
get a grip on yourself and give it a bit of time, things will probably shift so that you feel more in control :)

zanywany · 22/08/2012 11:45

Hi everyone remember me???

questions2008 · 22/08/2012 11:47

sponge I agree with the rest, sounds like he's a bit nervous about your reaction post-date and wine hence he's trying to play it cool.

snapespeare · 22/08/2012 11:49

zany! hello! :-)

Lueji · 22/08/2012 12:12

Men!

Just got a message from Mr Rose, saying he's somewhere on holiday and saying he misses me.
This after who knows how many weeks since last text and me not replying at all.

Mr Shy did too a couple of weeks ago, but had not kept in touch either and I didn't reply to last text.

Not sure what goes through their minds. Do they think we are grateful that they suddenly remembered us?
Or are they simply bored and trying it on, just in case?

Maybe I should reply saying thank you for the thought, but I'll be spending the night with someone who deserves it. Grin

zanywany · 22/08/2012 12:12

So what have I missed.

Who honey trapped who?

Is marriage on the cards watch Wink.

Have you not jumped PM yet then snape. Am I the only one who think you guys should get together? sometimes the ones who we don't think would be good in bed are amazing.

Hi Time MLM and Charlottes

Any news yet on date no 2 sponge

hatesponge · 22/08/2012 12:17

zany hello! whats the latest with the wedding planning?

I have text Mr Overalls, though only a short while ago as got stuck in a meeting for ages....he's replied but nothing about another date yet. Watch I'm not in the least convinced date 2 will follow, but thank you for your optimism :)

I am much more excited about Snape's date to be honest! I have a feeling you and Mr S will get on very well INDEED :)

Lueji · 22/08/2012 12:17

So:

Snape is honey trapping PM, but she met this hot guy she is about to date instead. And he is going to sweep her off her feet before she knows it.

Watch will be getting married, yes. Probably next year. And she's going to be a rock wife.

Sponge will be getting that second date and take him home this time too. Grin

snapespeare · 22/08/2012 12:22

PM still hasnt managed to click by my profile. pffffffffffft.

giggling at 'rock-wife' I demand wedding invitation - that will be an amazing wedding. shall we look at some dresses!?

Wink
zanywany · 22/08/2012 12:28

Not made many more wedding plans at the moment, probably because reality has hit and I realise we will need to save for a while beforehand. We have planned where to have wedding etc though and hoping it will be next summer.

Things have been a bit up and down for me recently but looks like its on the right track. Mr Yacht moved out a few weeks ago, he hadn't been completely honest about some money he owed and was unable to pay me what we agreed so we decided he shoud leave for a few months to sort his finances out as I wasn't prepared to be several hundred pounds out of pocket. I was fuming that he hadn't been honest. There have been lots of honest discussions since and we seem to be getting there.

The whole step parenting thing is sooo hard, harder then being a single Mum. I still find it hard to bond like his DS's (and feel very guilty about it) which hasn't helped.

zanywany · 22/08/2012 12:29

Have you got your picture up Snape or just answered the questions?

snapespeare · 22/08/2012 12:32

oh zany sorry things are never as easy as one would hope, are they - at least things are on hold a bit rather than inextricably shit-shaped.

I really think it's very early days for liking bonding with his DCs - I'm not naturally maternal at all and would find it very difficult to like other children - particularly as I love my own so completely. {sad} wishing you well.

snapespeare · 22/08/2012 12:36

One dodgy out of focus, close cropped pic that doesn't look anything like me.

Happy to share OKC profile if anyone wants a shufti. drop me a PM and I'll oblige. Wink

lubeybooby · 22/08/2012 12:44

Oooh new thread, yay.

My house is now nearly entirely blitzed. I have even scrubbed my stair carpets after it needing to be done for at least six months

Just need to tidy my room a bit and put the clean sheets on.

Zany, hello!

I am still with blokeychap (who was formerly mramazing4thdate) I just hang around on this thread still because I love everyone and I started the original, so it's like my baby.

zanywany · 22/08/2012 12:53

I remember Mr 4th date and the trail of clothes Lubey

Oh and I forgot to mention I am 14 weeks pregnant!

Yogagirl17 · 22/08/2012 13:04

snape sorry - song wasn't meant to make you weepy! I heard it on the radio this morning and the first thing I thought was "Snape should play that for PM, that'll get his atttention!" But sounds like you've got better things to think about at the moment, you're date sounds fab! And totally agree that someone who is "willing to get to know you better" is a bit Hmm

Ok, have no more love life of my own to report (other than horrid fuckmuppet XH who keeps messing me around) so will try to keep up!

snapespeare · 22/08/2012 13:09

zany congratulations!! How are you keeping? obviously everything seems a bit weird with hormones and blended families and debt and stuff. I think you're very wonderful and sorted and everything will end up just fine. :- DATING THREAD BABY!!!!!

lubeybooby · 22/08/2012 13:10

Oh Zany congratulations! :o
