I think yours is more a date than mine Watch Grin

BUT date or not I'm still getting to see him again, which is what I wanted, so it's all good. Hopefully Grin

Now I just have to clean my house. Shame I can't get my bathroom tiled by Saturday... Grin

watchoutforthatsnail · 23/04/2012 13:20

sponge - it doesnt matter :) you wanted to see him again and you are.
its all fab :)

my god im so excited for you.
that coupled with my own excitment means i might burst.

im off work tomorow, ill be cleaning too and shaving legs and things just in case

ridiclous :)

TimeForMeAndDD · 23/04/2012 13:25

Sponge watch is right, it doesn't matter what it is called, you are seeing him again, you got a result, a good result, it doesn't need a label. Enjoy! Grin

It's not ridiculous at all watch, this is the best stage of dating, when it's all new, unknown and exciting. All the anticipation and preparation. Are you changing the sheets too? Grin I'm pleased you are excited, you should be.

Snapespeare · 23/04/2012 13:30

ahh, thanks for asking. :) no better, still no cash from work & compounded by DS1 being a sodding nightmare, so started the day with a row. No word from the (potential) date, but I'm over thinking that, we've said we'll set an actual date when it's more convienient, so ball in the air etc. I can't seem to find a back-up plan, I'm far too fussy, I think... men in my age group certainly seem to let themselves go, compared to the women.

Really excited for you for tomorrow watch! Sponge, eeeeeeeeeeeeeee! :-)

MirandaWest · 23/04/2012 13:37

Good amount of dates happening here Grin.

Have emailed Mr Nice so maybe I too will have a second date although not anticipating any sex here. But will change the sheets just in case if a date does happen

PostBellumBugsy · 23/04/2012 13:46

Gah, so much to catch up on again! But that is good.
Yay, for Lubey (top dress btw), Watch & Sponge.
Snape, sorry to hear your work still haven't sorted out your money. That is seriously poor show.
Fingers crossed for Miranda's 2nd date.

Not great dating news myself. Am working on some prospects, but no new date lined up so far!

watchoutforthatsnail · 23/04/2012 13:46

i changed the sheets yesterday, im not doing it again!!

dd will be upstairs in bed. so there will be no shagging upstairs anyway
not that im planning on shagging :)

he cycles 3 hours a day. to and from work, hes insane, but with an amazing body to show for it. i know this because i could feel it when we hugged. gggrrr to hard bodied, dark haired scruffy, stubbly men.

snape :( the day can only get better. and the men have , i had a look at men and women when we were looking at god awful profiles last week, the women always look way better and seem more interesting. pin him down to a date when you are free.

good luck miranda :)

i must say this being pro active about asking out seems to be quite sucessful - who knew.. and why the hell havent we been doing it sooner?

lubeybooby · 23/04/2012 13:46

Just running in to grin again at all this excitement, not just my own :o :o :o

TimeForMeAndDD · 23/04/2012 13:51

He's not insane watch, he's a free spirit, he doesn't conform to the norm Smile I likes him!

OP posts:
hatesponge · 23/04/2012 13:52

I must remember to shave my legs this time. I hadn't last time and as I got rather drunk completely forgot til Sunday morning Blush he didn't seem to have noticed (or was too polite to say!)

I'm a bit excited but not too much, it's still a few days off and may not happen, so not counting my chickens though I am quite smily about it nonetheless

Snape Shock re work, can they not do a special BACS payment or something? thats terrible they haven't resolved it yet. I'm not far from you, and have a fridge/freezer full of party food (and an extensive drinks cabinet) which you are very welcome to avail yourself of :) I think your DS1 may be a similar age to mine (Year 9?) mine is more than a little 'trying' at present, and testing boundaries. I cling to the hope it will get better in about 5 years....

watchoutforthatsnail · 23/04/2012 13:54

yes, well, hands off. hes mine :)

MirandaWest · 23/04/2012 13:56
TimeForMeAndDD · 23/04/2012 13:57

Sponge!!! I demand that you stop allowing negative thoughts to enter your head, from immediate effect!! Things are going well, enjoy it! Smile

Snape that's awful. I'm disgusted that work haven't sorted out your wage. If you had time off work and owed them money you could be sure they would be quick to take it, they ought to apply that same attitude to giving you the money the owe you! I hope you are getting cross with them?

OP posts:
watchoutforthatsnail · 23/04/2012 13:57

lubey - its nice to have so much excitment isnt it. wooohoo and cheers to us.

and i think its fine to enjoy being excited about possibilities, woiuldnt be be awful if we werent, id far rather be like that than ' meh' all the time.

sponge - i want a share in your party food too!! :)

Snapespeare · 23/04/2012 13:59

thanks for the offer sponge, very kind of you! luckily my freezer is full and i get my chb tomorrow to spend on gin so all is not lost. I just feel a bit meh. it will pass. DS1 is just annoying. He wont go to bed, stays up all hours and then won't get out of bed for school, complaining of a stomach ache. I have taken away his xbox. another foot out of line and he's on no internet access excepting homework for a week. Angry

I posted my daily metro horoscope on my fb wall, for those of you who don't know me there,

' Lately your positive frame of mind has seen your spirits soar as you've been feeling optimistic about life and love. With someone special by your side, things are looking up'. wtaf! even generic hocus pocus bollocksness is taking the piss! Hmm

watchoutforthatsnail · 23/04/2012 14:02

snape - my work collegue brings the wii into work and hides it in her desk for the same reason - teenage boys. is it child abuse to fix a lock on the outside of his door

id rip that horoscope into tiny bits and make a penis out of it too.

Snapespeare · 23/04/2012 14:04

:) it would be a very very very small penis but that's ok, I'm used to those

watchoutforthatsnail · 23/04/2012 14:07

:)

we dont do hugs. but ill sing ' fuck the mother fuckers' loudly with you.

TimeForMeAndDD · 23/04/2012 14:08

Grin you and me both Snape. I'm quite looking forward to experiencing a bigger one.

OP posts:
Snapespeare · 23/04/2012 14:11

I do enjoy a good chorus of 'fuck the mother fuckers'. It's just like last night of the proms. :)

MyLittleMiracle · 23/04/2012 14:14

Lol. You guys make me smile. And yep did actually giggle. Haven't been reading my horoscope, but I bet it didn't say I would gain an unexpected amount of confidence after a bit of gentle persuasion big boot up the bum and nagging from my best friend, resulting in jumping on someone. Which although I an a Leo (the lion) I have NEVER done before, but at least I got a decent response.

hatesponge · 23/04/2012 14:16

snape DS1 is EXACTLY the same. He has a constant headache because he sits on Xbox til all hours. He cannot get up for school, and is late most mornings despite the fact his school is at the top of our road and is little more than a 5 minute walk Hmm The only thing that works with him is Xbox removal, and then I have to take DS2's away as well otherwise he would just play that.

Teenagers...

MyLittleMiracle · 23/04/2012 14:18

and just friends is fantastic. Much much much much better than the ex, and I don't feel scared or pressured. Aaah what a great feeling. Cannot wait to get him ib bed see him.

lubeybooby · 23/04/2012 14:23

It is excellent watch, loving these messages.

I tell you what, dating sites can kiss my considerably smaller arse.

I just half considered re-joining okcupid, then immediately came out in brain hives.

Giggling here at singing 'fuck the motherfuckers' with snape - I'm joining in too.

Zanywany · 23/04/2012 14:24

Ohh lots of exciting news

Well done Lubey on the weight loss, lovely dress and fantastic sounding date.

Watch [excited emotion] for Will Young. Not so good re the girlfriend but he has been very upfron and honest about everything. What will you do, apart from explode, if he wants to wait for sex until he finish's with the girlfriend. Grin

Really crap about your wages Snape. I often seem to start the day arguing with my DD, its put me in a really bad mood today so I know how it gets to you.

Yeah Sponge. like Time says no more negative thoughts, it all seems to be going well.

I had a good weekend with Mr Yach and all our DC's, helped by the fact that his youngest slept through. I am fuming with my ex though as he let our DS (11 yrs) cycle to a school football match on the understanding that my ex would turn up after a while to watch and then come home with him. Problem being he didn't turn up so my DS cycled back to his Dad's house on his own. Admitadly it wasn't far but he feels really let down (and I suspect school will be cross) that his Dad wasn't there to support him like all the other parents were. He is a bit cross with me for not going too which I feel awful about as although he was with his Dad that day I still often turn up to things like that but didn't as I had already taken him to 3 matchs just last week. He didn't like to phone me to ask me to go incase his Dad got annoyed with him for calling me Sad

Hi Poppa
