i see SHOES!!!! had my dear little niece over, we have had her hair highlighted, eyebrows tinted, fish pedicure (ugh!) and a ton of slap applied at the make-up counter! i think she quite enjoyed it, so, as i thought i was excelling in the 'auntie' department i deserved some new shoes! lovely big cork wedges with striped sparkly fabric, perrrfect for the summer!

btw, all you babes hanging on in there by the skin of your teeth, do you have any idea of how much you are influencing other 'lurking babes'? you would not believe my inbox, soooo many people watch us and listen to all the struggles, the highs, the lows, the nights we win, the nights we loose, what you are doing IS brave, you ARE awesome, you ARE better than the booze, you ARE worth the effort, you ARE stronger than you know!! just keep it in the day, dont worry about the weekend, next week, next month, its right now that counts, and you are all bloody brilliant!!

Not shoes JWN. My ds had that fish pedicure last year. I'm with you in the (ugh) department. It seems cruel to the fish too . But he enjoyed it . Now we just need the summer to go with your perfect shoes!

Helpyourself have not drunk since I posted, there's no booze in the house. So I'm drinking water and will take myself off to bed after the Apprentice.

I'm aiming for moderation - tonight wasn't as moderate as I would have liked.

bibbity, i still have have some fairly spectacular presents given by dd, including, an effiel tower keyring, a 'worlds best mum' keyring, a picture of standing meerkats and mug with my name spelt wrongly!
