I wore them last time so thought maybe grey trousers with same top as last week as i kept my jacket on :) as it is so cold I will have to take off my coat this time so wont be able to wear it again for a while.
DD has concealer I will throw on in an effort to hide my bramble injuries. Always spend so much time worrying about my clothes as I am slightly worried I dress too young for my age, especially as Gok told a woman of 42 she was too old for skinny jeans!

prettypurpledaisy · 21/10/2011 14:51

This dating lark really plays on my insecurities :)

Snapespeare · 21/10/2011 14:58

Oh god, I was going to go and buy some skinnies after work to celebrate losing weight. If Gok says no, then what am i to do?! Hmm

Zanywany · 21/10/2011 15:02

I don't think 42 is too old for skinnies at all. How does he know if you are a young looking 42 year old, you could be 30 but certain things may look too old on you. Go with what you feel comfortable in. I think I may buy a new top for Sunday - new clothes always give me a bit of a confidence boost along with the new undies

prettypurpledaisy · 21/10/2011 15:02

Grin snape

TimeForMeIsFree · 21/10/2011 15:04

Sod Gok! Look at the state of the underwear he dresses his women in! Flesh coloured sausage skin. What the heck does he know. Dress as young as you feel, as long as you don't feel like a 15yr old you will be fine. Get those skinnies on ladies!!

Zanywany · 21/10/2011 15:05

Or feel like a toddler and turn up in pink striped tights, dungaree dress and ear muffs Grin

Snapespeare · 21/10/2011 15:07

sigh reanimated my okcupid account. i shall sit back and wait for cock-shots.

I need skinny jeans. screw you Gok, you woman hating style nazi!

Zanywany · 21/10/2011 15:17

I am really tempted by the leather look skinny jeans/trousers that I saw on TV recently, I am sure they were only £14 at Primarni but the 'stylist' said older women should never go for fake leather! IS 37 too old

Snapespeare · 21/10/2011 15:20

that's because they think 'older' women should shell out for real leather. it's not too old. go and try a pair on. :)

stayforappledunking · 21/10/2011 15:37

I love primarni's skinny jeans! I have two pairs of the black ones and a stone wash pair and a light blue pair. I live in them. Gok Wan is a knob. This is true. :)

Zanywany · 21/10/2011 15:39

I bet Gok secretly wears likes them

stayforappledunking · 21/10/2011 15:40

With a pair of converse sneakers. Arf.

prettypurpledaisy · 21/10/2011 15:42

I love my skinny jeans but always worry that at 46 I should leave them to the young, but having lost my weight I think they look good. DD doesn't seem to feel ashamed nor do my students although they have expressed surprise that I do.

Snapespeare · 21/10/2011 15:50

eligibleowner OKC.

well, at least that's out there then. I'm an 83%! match!!

I have lost faith in this almost immediately.

Thats my 5-a-day done! yay me!

Zanywany · 21/10/2011 15:56

Damn I'm only a 53% match with him. I'll raise you Snape with my Quiver of the day yesterday was a transexual, fat and ugly large older man and a bisexual guy!

watchoutforthatsnail · 21/10/2011 16:26

there you go then snape - clearly the man for you! lol
ive just checked okc and do you know how many men are on it aged 29 - 37 and in a 25 mile radius to me. 24. Hardly many to chose from huh.

And anyone can wear skinny jeans :)

Im feeling a bit shit after a whole day arguing with S. He is now blocked, deleted and gone. But god, seriously, what an appaling view to have of women. and funny how he didnt show that side of himself to start with isnt it. I actually feel a bit sick that i spent time in his company.

lubeybooby · 21/10/2011 16:52

Good luck tonight Daisy :o

Watch yeah he was vile. Glad he's gone and blocked Wine

Bloody hell Gok - I've just sucked lettuce leaves for 6 months to loose a couple of stone, bought my first pair of skinny jeans last week and thought they looked quite nice. I'm 45! Give a girl a break!!

Anyway, I've just mailed a very cute looking man who appears to have a sense of humour, can spell and best of all had added little old me as a "favourite". Finger's crossed!!!

LittleHouseofHorror · 21/10/2011 17:50

I'm not paying any attention to Gok as I think he only means women of a certain age "shouldn't wear skinny jeans" as a fashion statement for going out purposes. I am a scruffy tomboy lady over 50 and have been wearing my skinny jeans since 1975 (Not the same pair obviously!) I am not going to stop now - he wasn't even born then.

Zanywany · 21/10/2011 19:00

Try and put it behind you Watch& as a bad experience. I think we still need to meet new guys as if they are 'normal' (whilst being safety concious) otherwise we will be bitter and cynical,. Not saying that you are becoming that but personally I tell myself to look for the best as they can't all be as bad as my ex

adamschic · 21/10/2011 19:48

I wear skinny jeans and I'm 50! I don't watch Gok.

Got a date fixed up for Sunday, with my bor although don't worry Lubey he won't be getting a nickname until I've met him and want to see him again. He is already asking to see me again, but premature isn't it?

Zany, I get a weird feeling that I've seen those photos of Yewtree before. Someone on here must have 'known' him before.

lubeybooby · 21/10/2011 19:54

My best mate has christened my BoR "flashdance" because he is a welder. She does make me larf :o and now I have this ridiculous image of him, 6ft 3 of manly bald slightly thuggish looking tattooed maleness in a leotard and tights earnestly performing the dance. Thanks for that, mate.

It is a bit premature, adamschic... is he not very experienced with the dating thing or just so sure of your pics that he just knows he will want to?

my gorgeous dress came. I need a date! it's incredible (with spanx. at least three pairs..)

snail. put the little turd behind you... we all get those on occasion. move on.

I've been back on okcupid for about 6 hours. chatting to 4 men at the moment. The first message was from a photographer wanting to take somesleazy pics. think I am saying yes - will be nice to have some classy vintage style photos to embarass myself on facebook entice flies into my web.

hatesponge · 21/10/2011 20:01

not sure where I stand re the skinny jeans - at 39 I like to think I'm still young enough (even though they dont suit me, but that's my figure not my age!)

I really dont think I want to go on my date tomorrow. He seems nice enough, if his photos are an accurate representation he's not bad looking. He was perfectly pleasant when we spoke on the phone and yet...I just feel meh about the whole thing.

I am very very fussy. Tiny things irritate me - such as he doesn't seem to have a proper job, certain words he uses. the fact he keeps wanting me to call him to chat (because of my phone phobia I keep having to think of excuses).

I KNOW I'm being petty. I think possibly I just need to be told to get over myself and just go, have a coffee and worst case it's a few hours out of my life...
