i like him before i've met him. we do that. never mind. Grin !

lubeybooby · 16/10/2011 20:59

Ha! We will learn one of these days. Maybe Wink Good luck Watch :o

TimeForMeIsFree · 16/10/2011 21:13

Grin but if we didn't like them before we met we wouldn't want to meet them. What we shouldn't do is like them that much before we meet them that we change the bedsheets! Or spend every night slathering on fake tan! bloody waste of time energy and cream

Makeyerowndamndinner · 16/10/2011 21:31

And what we definitely shouldn't do is like them so much we buy ourselves new outfits and spend money on beauty treatments when in reality the buggers have no intention of even meeting us in the first place - not that I'm bitter or anything.

TimeForMeIsFree · 16/10/2011 21:35

Yes! Absolutely! No new outfits! He turned up in old jeans with an England flag patch thing on his back pocket and trainers. Hmm I couldn't even smell aftershave. But, that could have been because I was overpowered by the smell of the chewing gum he was chewing ALL through the date.

PoppaRob · 16/10/2011 22:09

makes note... must wear aftershave and def no "hehe"ing if trying to woo time.

adamschic · 16/10/2011 22:12

Ha, you are all getting the hang of the rules, very good.

Watch, steady on girl, hope he turns out to be as promising in real life.

My date has changed to nearer to me and for the weekend. Will be daytime. Hope he has more to say for himself when we meet up.

adamschic · 16/10/2011 22:13

Prefer ha ha or he he to loling! But thats just me. He he sound like a Match advert.

zookeeper · 16/10/2011 22:17

oooo just saw this thread - I met my lovely DP fifteen months ago on POF; we didn't meet and click immediately - it took two or three dates but I wouldn't be without him now.

I must have had about twenty - thirty dates on it before I met him; most were lovely, a couple were really awful. I keep in touch with a couple who have become friends

If I pulled anyone can lol

lubeybooby · 16/10/2011 22:18

I don't mind the occasional 'lol' as long as it isn't at the end of every sentence

OP posts:
lubeybooby · 16/10/2011 22:19

Yeah another good story Zookeeper :o

What did you do on your dates and what were you thinking after the first date?

OP posts:
TimeForMeIsFree · 16/10/2011 22:20

You got it Poppa and no chewing gum!!

That's lovely zookeeper Gives me hope.

PoppaRob · 16/10/2011 22:20

Ok. The Spicegirl who's on our X-Factor - Mel B - aka Droopy Spice. Her annoying accent. Does anyone remember the bit in Monty Python's Holy Grail where Lancelot kills the groom and the Dad says "Let's not bicker about who killed who. This is supposed to be a joyous occasion"? To me that's the same accent, so which bit of Britain is she from?

TimeForMeIsFree · 16/10/2011 22:20

I don't mind lol either as long as there is only one per message!

TimeForMeIsFree · 16/10/2011 22:21

Is she from Liverpool?

PoppaRob · 16/10/2011 22:22

Doesn't sound like a Beatle to me.

TimeForMeIsFree · 16/10/2011 22:22

Or Manchester?

lubeybooby · 16/10/2011 22:22

Mel B just had a baby so it must be Mel C. She's from Liverpool so scouse

OP posts:
TimeForMeIsFree · 16/10/2011 22:23

Oh I just googled, Mel B is from Leeds. Not far from me! I was thinking of the other Mel.

lubeybooby · 16/10/2011 22:24

Oh i take it back she's Lancashire born en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Melanie_Chisholm

OP posts:
PoppaRob · 16/10/2011 22:25

I had friends from Manchester and they had a definite accent but not like hers. Wikipedia says she was born in Leeds, Yorkshire, so would that be a typical accent for that area?

TimeForMeIsFree · 16/10/2011 22:27

Are we talking Mel B then? Scary spice? Or Mel C, sporty Spice?

lubeybooby · 16/10/2011 22:27

It can't be the Leeds one she only just birthed the other week. The Leeds one is mixed race and rather voluptous these days. Lancashire one is Mel C in link above...

OP posts:
TimeForMeIsFree · 16/10/2011 22:28

Yes, it's a typical accent for that area, if we are talking about Mel B. I like her accent. What's up with it Pop??

lubeybooby · 16/10/2011 22:30

Oh blimey. Apparently it is Mel B the Leeds one even though she has a tiny baby!
