For those who don't practice monogamy (solidgold? etc) How on earth do you not become jealous?

I am just curious as I am the most jealous insecure person ever and it's a horrid and unattractice trait. Is jealousy natural?

Nah, I'm not scared of her (though I have a faint suspicion she's actually one of my oldest friends with a very good cover story)

You see I really really don't understand where people get the emotional energy for non-monogamous relationships.

Frankly once you have children and a few (1-2) very close close friends and a romantic partner of whatever sort, that is a lot of relationship maintenance by my book. All of these relationships take , work that is often joyful but they take up time and work nonetheless. Introducing even more people into that small circle of people I am very very close to just seems like a lot of effort. I have hardly enough time in my life at the moment for the people I love now. Why introduce more of them?

People use violence to get all kinds of things they want. I suppose next you will be advocating the banning of mobile phones, cars and god knows what else, because people get mugged for them?

I should read the feminism chat thread. I tend to avoid chat threads because they move too fast for me, but it seems that had some discussing of issues as well as general how is so-and-so doing.

Isn't it funny, I am reading the same thread and SGB is coming across as a lot more rational than the poster's attacking her.
