The Brave Babes Battle Bus - Carry On Past The New Year Wine Offers!

1000 replies

Mouseface · 21/01/2011 22:19

Hello all.

We are the Brave Babes. We're on the Battle Bus, travelling around sobriety and going day by day, hour by hour, through the detox hell of not drinking, cutting down or sometimes even not.

Come say hi. We won't bite. Grin

No doubt one of us has been where you are now......

It's fine. No judging, no nasty jibes, just us, the BBs.

Come meet the others..................

Thurso... he will be OK, he really will. Have I missed something about his subject?

If he gets a place in Edinburgh he could doss here (or you could all come while you were investigating options) and then I'd not miss my dds so much. I'd promise to feed him lots of lovely food, and keep him healthy, and never ever do his washing Grin

jesuswhatnext · 26/01/2011 20:40

thurso, more than anything i admire the restraint you have shown in correcting my spelling! Grin

btw, i would never have thought you would compromise the children you teach!

Silver66 · 26/01/2011 20:41

and JWN - at LEAST jacuzzi, steam room and sauna......also a natural waterfall but set at temperature of 34 degrees (or so).........

couldn't find little plastic cup thing so have put my morning dose in a NEW urine sample bottle from docs (at least looks medical) - they would be brand new and sterislised wouldn't they?................

venusandmarzipan · 26/01/2011 20:45

Ohh please, please, could we have a brave babes spa thing. With a WATERFALL oh, oh, oh.....

Thanks babes, so grateful,

have had a long bath angry self nearly over.
Stupid me! Not a problem when you look outide to everyone else! Sorry!

Mmm..Doctor, ok when you look at some of my son's friends who are training Blush.

dementedma · 26/01/2011 21:58

wow its been busy on here.I've been fighting the wine o clock chimes hard tonight and have made it but its been a close run thing.
Thurso dd2 didn't get into LIPA either so I feel your pain. it's so hard when they are gutted and you hurt for them!
Silver good to see you back in fighting form
mouse hope poo crisis is over
men in uniform AND a spa - I'm thinking we could combine these ideas....

thursomuchtolookforwardto · 26/01/2011 22:32

Lovelies,

over the worst Smile
had as much talk with DC as he could stand!

Really do think commune would be a good idea for the long term, not joking... No stress for DH, and he loves gardening, lovely workspace for me.. I did speak to DH about it the other day... think DC1 would be mortified once he gets to the City!

I said once years ago, that I wish ours would go to Fanny Annies Cookery School, in the outer isles of Scotland, and I still think I was right(obviously don't quote me to the Education Office!)

Much love,
actually love you lots,
xxxxxxxx

thursomuchtolookforwardto · 26/01/2011 22:39

Ma well done!

It has been a bit a bit hard for me too, as it's my day off tomorrow, but I don't want to wake up feeling the worse for wear, and hopefully will be glad that I didn't go out for the wine!

I say that because the last few nights I have had terrible nightmares, so am tired as well as fed up Grin

Zanywany · 26/01/2011 22:44

Just catching up.

Thurso am sure he will get something else, his first choice doesn't necessarily mean the best choice.

Waves at JWN to remind her that I am single and love a man in uniform, order of preferance

American firefighter

American police (yes I did love CHIPS)

Silver - how are your ribs tonight, love the idea of you waking up at 5am to swig your pain killers from a urine sample bottle [brin]

How about men in uniforms in the spa pambering to our every need

venusandmarzipan · 26/01/2011 22:47

thurso isn't it fab when you get to this time of night and are feeling great Smile

Just for reference, I'm not particularly into men in uniform EXCEPT for doctors.... mmmmm... the smell of antispetic stuff..... I was with a totally gorgeous dr (before current dh), wonderful on a day to day basis (or night to night Wink Blush) but hopeless financially and not a long term prospect. very good for self esteem and healing a broken heart though Grin Grin Grin

Poor old MIFLAW no uniform for Russian spies translators Grin

thursomuchtolookforwardto · 26/01/2011 23:06

Night all,
yes Venus is fab to think that I can go to bed and not worry about anything except being tired Smile

Still think that Milflaw wears trench coat, jeans and dark glasses! and speaks russian, sorry Milflaw, probably mortified you!
