The Brave Babes Battle Bus - Carry On Past The Christmas Party (part 1)

1000 replies

TheMousefaceBeforeChristMouse · 03/12/2010 16:22

Hello.

Welcome to The Brave Babes Bus. I'm Mouseface and I used to abuse alcohol and to be honest, there is always a risk that I'll do it again.

This is a bus journey for those who drink too much, or drink now and then, not at all, or actually aren't quite sure what their drinking means to them.

Come and meet the other Brave Babes, everyone is welcome. Xmas Smile

Am back - I think that my GP will treat what I tell him in confidence and I don't think he would involve anyone else - he will just, hopefully, see how determined I am to beat this, in that I keep coming back every time I fall off the wagon, and try try try again.

Personally I don't care what label people give to alcoholism - all I know is that it is destroying my life and if AA helps me to get back on track then that is who I shall turn to. All the theoretical arguments in the world will not stop me picking up the first drink. Regular attendance at meetings and RL support (as well as on here) just might. Xmas Grin

Mouse - how are you feeling Babe?? xx

Silverbaubleonatree · 14/12/2010 13:42

Mouse - you will be fine Babe xxx

All Babes and guys,
Sorry to disrupt the thread a bit, but just to say.... All was ok Grin joyously.

Lump is a fatty lump, (which doesn't sound very nice, but who cares). I may have felt it now because I have lost a bit of weight, and been swimming so much that my midriff is a bit thinner. But it is harmless. It has put a lot of things into perspective, I can tell you.

I had started doing really stupid things in my head, like planning the hyms, writing letters to DC, etc, etc

I won't say anymore now, as I am feeling like a wrung out dishrag, relief, I guess.
Just thanks to everyone, as I hadn't told anyone in RL (except for Dh), and it really helped to let it out on here. Special love to Mouse for her PM's.

Speak soon Smile

P.s Silver you are doing really well, am proud of you.

Zanyisntsantacanny · 14/12/2010 13:55
