Welcome to The Brave Babes Bus. I'm Mouseface and I used to abuse alcohol and to be honest, there is always a risk that I'll do it again.

This is a bus journey for those who drink too much, or drink now and then, not at all, or actually aren't quite sure what their drinking means to them.

evening all,

Making a big pot of lentil soup at the moment. Pretty much coz we are really running low on food. Gonna have to brave it to the shops tomorrow.

Having a good evening, no thoughts about drinking at all this evening, just enjoying spending time with the kids.

Looking forward to I'm a celebrity - the alcohol over the years has obviously frazzled my poor poor brain cells .

Hope everyone is having a relaxing evening.

BB hang in there - play the evening through to end if you are thinking about drinking.

silver glad you have a plan, I don't really have anything more to add that the other BB's have not already offered.

JWN have a fab night, but please drive carefully, the weather is atrocious.

I feel OK - it was just wine o'clock calling. I did give my friends wine, I don't know why, but I wouldn't feel right to make them have tea or soft drinks, just because i can't take it, although I quite like JWN's idea of mocktails, I might try that next time. Thanks for your help BBs.
Time for a bit of supper and some more treats I think.

BB I'm craving tonight too. I think I'm just tired though. Going to make some Christmas cards and an early night I think.

Ah,here you all are. haven't been around much as not even trying to stop drinking at the moment, and feel rather ashamed but just...well was going to say can't seem to find the energy to deal with it but that would be a lie/excuse. i don't want to stop just now. i don't really know why, as that's why i boarded this bloody bus in the first place. Sorry, have fallen by the wayside.
Will sit and look at the christmas tree and sip wine and wonder what went wrong.

Noteven, I am not sure whether I understand this. You moved house last Thurday? To a new city?

Will ask more disbelieving questions re nursery when you confirm that you did indeed move house from one town to quite another one.

Ma, do the Mouse thing and drink water in between and (CAPITALS) don't beat yourself up. Are you watching any tv tonight? I am radio fouring at the moment but about to walk dog (briefly) and batten down the hatches. On my own tonight. Til vv late. I must do a JWN and file my nails or something.

To clarify:
Move date got pushed back til a week tomorrow. So boxes packed and staying with family near nursery and work. DD started nursery and I started work this week whilst we are camped out in family spare room - and really not feeling very welcome. Stuff still in boxes, new house still not ready.
Moving properly in 8 days on a Saturday whilst working full time. I hope that helps - but yes we in a different town, job, nursery and childminder to last week.

I'm tired and craving so I think chocolate and bed would be the best thing here too.

And yes, ma, Zany, stay and talk, I am sorry if I put you off from doing so. I am "home" (not home at all) alone with DD and they have lots of yummy things which I never buy in case I will eat them! So I am not hungry (out of HALT) merely greedy!! I need abstinence, but just because it is the only solution for me, it doesn't mean it's for everyone.
