How do you feel about prostitution?

Hello everyone, I have name changed for this(no sinister reason) but i do post on here from time to time.

Anyway, I would love to know what your thoughts are on prostitution. I don't mean political views and I dont really want to get into a discussion on whether girls are trafficked, pimped, druggies. Just what you think as a whole.

I am talking about girls who willing become escorts or work in massage parlours under the guise of 'masseuses' when really they provide extras.

What do you think of men who see them? Are that losers, sad and lonely, 'sex addicts'or what? Would you think your dp/dh was cheating if he saw a prostitute.

I ask just out of curiosity, I do not think my dp has ever visited a prostitute! Also, apparently 1 in 10 men see prostitutes. Do you agree with this. If this is true what hope do we all have eh?

My take is that i belive some girls use their looks to earn money an 'easy' way. By easy, I mean that they do not have to train for yrs to get a decent paid job, or they do not have to work 9 to 5 in an office when they can earn a wks wages in a day.

I have asked my own dp and he beleives that there is something missing from a relationship if a man sees a prostitute.Obviously its different with a single man. He also thinks that some men have issues sexually with their wives/partners and are inhibited. Therefore, that is why they pay for sex acts that they can't ask for at home. These are exactly my thoughts.Anyone agree or disagree?

I'd like your thoughts or experiences!

Fine people carry on with your fulfilling work in the knowledge that people think you're vile, desperate misogynists. Your children will be ashamed of you if they're not already.

EscortKarin · 11/11/2010 13:22

"people think you're vile, desperate misogynists"

Within that definition, are you including those prostitutes who are lesbians and in loving fulfilling relationships with other women?

TheOleDragon · 11/11/2010 13:25

GOYLS: I have 17 of them. I don't aspire to get one, but they sure do bring in a lot of business once you receive one. Did you ever receive any?

WhenwillIfeelnormal · 11/11/2010 13:26

As if lesbians can't be women haters Grin

ElephantsAndMiasmas · 11/11/2010 13:31

Sorry, are all prostitutes being called misogynists, or just some of the twunty ones posting on here?

PosieComeHereMyPreciousParker · 11/11/2010 13:38

The ones on here, perpetuating the myth that it is a choice. It's really hard to not group the abused coerced and trafficked women within this language, so my apologies if it wasn't clear.

The damage done by prostitutes like the ones on here is directly linked to the punter that exploits the underage, the coerced, the trafficked, the addict.

PosieComeHereMyPreciousParker · 11/11/2010 13:39

It's attitudes like these that stop the helpless sex worker from being helped.

msmont · 11/11/2010 13:44

GOYLS you may even get lucky and have a review of one of the duo's you did a while back..
anayway back on topic ..its all about supply and demand they want it the prossies provide it and some make a very good living out of it too
I am not going to tell my story as far as I am concerned its no one elses business and I am not going to be torn apart from some 'ladies' on here for the record some may call me nasty but i really couldnt give a flying fuck about what any of you think of me, its my life ..my choice..
I know if you passed me in the street you wouldnt know I was a prostitute , you never know you may even have freinds that are prostitutes too , you kids may even go to sleepovers at a prostitues house but you probably not know that,

ShirleyKnot · 11/11/2010 13:45

Yes I agree with that Posie.

The thing I find quite hard to stomach is the refusal of the prostitutes on this thread to acknowledge the very real truth that the majority of prostitutes are abused drug addicts who live HARD MISERABLE LIVES.

I had a look on punternet - those photos of the girls online ready to chat now - are just fucking heartbreaking. Half of them look utterly broken and SAD.

GetOverYourLittleSelf · 11/11/2010 13:46

Posie - it is a free choice, I will agree with that. No one is forcing them to do it, but it's not so easy to leave the industry because it takes over your life subtely and you normalise sex work, much like what we have seen so far from the ladies posting on here. There is plenty of exploitation that goes on - from the women to the men, and of course vice versa.

It's the worst job in the world. The fact this is being discussed proves it. We aren't on a plumbers message board slagging that off, are we??

GetOverYourLittleSelf · 11/11/2010 13:51

"GOYLS you may even get lucky and have a review of one of the duo's you did a while back.."

Quite!

PosieComeHereMyPreciousParker · 11/11/2010 13:54

People who use ladies and prossies as acceptable terms are people that I would not associate with.

Get...I am sure that once the midst clears from the delusion that being a prostitute is without harm it is liberating beyond belief.

I have recently had a eureka moment myself as some highlighted to me that I had misogynist thinking, I am now on a great journey into feminism and feel very free. I understand that the subtle moving and moving of what's acceptable is an invisible thing.

You should feel really proud of yourself that you've moved on.

Just because the exploited don't know it it doesn't mean it's not exploitation.

BillieH · 11/11/2010 14:01

GOYLS, your posts have very honest and informative.

I have great difficulty in believing that the majority of girls enjoy it as much as they claim.A pretty young woman with a middle aged(or older) man sweating all over them. Even if he is a lovely individual.

The majority of clients cannot be hunky young men or they would not be paying. I do not believe the girls get turned on.

You are right about grunternet(love that)!-the girls do spend a large amount of time sucking up to would-be clients. And the men behave like schoolboys back-flattered by the fake attention. It's all 'honi'(?) And mmwah xxx.

You have to read it to believe it.

msmont · 11/11/2010 14:01

but how would you know , I dont use those terms of speach when I am with freinds (yes I do have them..lol)
as I have mentioned you would NEVER know
when i am not working i dress normally, go to the shops, etc I dont have a huge label on my head that shouts whore..so how would you know you dont accociate with them..
dear me its like banging my head against a wall
I think I may have to go back to decorating my living room

Yes you do dont you BilliE !!

PosieComeHereMyPreciousParker · 11/11/2010 14:03

Better than banging someone's husband.

I definitely do not associate with prostitutes, most women I know are broke or have decent jobs.

msmont · 11/11/2010 14:04

funny you should say that posie , I also have a normal decent job !

GetOverYourLittleSelf · 11/11/2010 14:04

"You should feel really proud of yourself that you've moved on. "

Thanks for that. It means a lot.

I do feel proud of myself and it's been a fabulous 2 years of life changing experiences. Once out of the industry I looked around and saw that people looked at me differently, had more respect for me because I had more respect for myself because I was happier, calmer and free of an awful burdon around my shoulders all the time.

I wish I never got into it. I know people say that life experiences make them stronger, but I wish I never had to gain them through doing that. There is nothing positive I can say about the industry at all.

To the ladies still escorting - you just wait until you stop doing it altogether. You'll see it for what it really is. Trust me!

ShirleyKnot · 11/11/2010 14:07

What the fuck are you going on about watchandlearn?

GetOverYourLittleSelf · 11/11/2010 14:08

"I think when you see mystery guest like this the girl has officially retired, but not

www.voluptuousparties.net/ladies.html"

Dig dig dig. You're SO wrong!

watchandlearn · 11/11/2010 14:09

I'm watching, and I'm learning.

ShirleyKnot · 11/11/2010 14:10

I think you'll be deleted fairly shortly.

Not doing a great deal for "the cause" are you?

GetOverYourLittleSelf · 11/11/2010 14:11

"I'm watching, and I'm learning"

I've watched and learned enough! Too much, sadly.

PosieComeHereMyPreciousParker · 11/11/2010 14:13

What are you hoping to learn watch and learn?
