Thank you, @PseudoBadger, for kicking off this long, long series of Archers threads.

All views on The Archers welcome here! New blood welcomed, and of course we are always delighted to welcome back former or occasional listeners/posters. We don't all agree on all points, although we do mostly try to be civil about it. Most of us are posting tongue in cheek a lot of the time, so don't worry about revealing that you'd like to marry Pip, or other unusual views.

Will Alice and Rex become an item? Will Amber come to her senses? Has Adam's constant languor and fatigue now removed his ability to speak on air?

I liked it when Amber reminded him that she won't be drinking for much longer than a month. He definitely doesn't like being told no. This is a concern.

I wonder who reported him.

Could it be Brad who reported him? First I thought Tracy, but I think her relationship with authorities isn't good enough for her to dob anyone in.

Was the car horn a red herring and might it have been Rex?

Also wondered if it could be Adam as Rex mentioned being with him in the pub so maybe he left around the same time and saw George.

Adam...? George has rubbed nearly everyone up the wrong way, hasn't he.

Not sure they've even said where, he didn't sound like he had much of a plan yet they are already organising his send off. Wonder if it's going to be like Johnny going travelling, never to be seen again. David and Ruth will be pleased.

They probably haven't asked him.

Apologies for being occasional lurker - but have we discussed why George is withholding his kompromat on Brian? Has it just been forgotten or does he have a cunning plan?

And it's not just that his anger has been bubbling below the surface: he chucked Ed downstairs, remember... He is a dangerous man. I'm another who fears a DV story line.

As for the speeding car, I wondered why it was intended to remind us of the night of the assault. Nothing appears in the script for no reason at all (even though they sometimes get muddled with so many scriptwriters managing different timelines).

Why is David so keen to have another party hot on the heels of Pip's engagement party? Maybe it's my very low social battery but I couldn't cope with two parties in a year month.

How has Josh managed to find work on a foreign far so quickly? Does he need a visa?

George and Amber is straight off MN. Woman hardly knows man , moves in with him, gets pregnant. Man gradually shows his true colours.

Yes- filming has just started on series 4 and it’s due for release in September…

When I saw how many post over the last day, I thought something excited must have happened…. Silly me.

I was with usual chaos and confused about why such a boring insert re tv watching was there. I’ve never heard of blue lights - don’t watch much tv and when I do it’s usually something which everyone was watching about 5years ago. Would I be cutting my nose off to not watch blue lights in protest at the insert, or is it that highly recommended I’ll need to get over myself?

And will I get spoilers from Kirsty?!!

If I was David and had George pop up with his recorded confession then I'd say publish and be damned. George shopping David after a delay would be evidence of his own attempted blackmail AND surely be another criminal action for withholding evidence about his own assaulting (?spag) so effectively he's once again facilitating an innocent person being prosecuted (I appreciate the Markie chap is probably a hardened crim anyway, but he didn't bottle George). And George is on licence so he'd be back inside himself.

If David maintained his lie and claimed he was angry, drunk and scared then given his age and a first offence plus he called an ambulance I'd be surprised if he got a custodial sentence - and if he did so what? A year serving half for good behaviour in a very low security prison I'd imagine. In real life he'd get a suspended sentence for sure.

Do you mean Ruairi rather than David? Or Brian? Or have I missed something!

On the subject of Welsh pronunciation - I live Wales-adjacent (the village I live in is half in Wales and half in England, I am in the English half though this somewhat depends on which government agency I'm dealing with as they don't all agree on this). I always boggle at the robot voices on the bus and train that politely mispronounce the Welsh place names for certain stops. You'd think that someone would programme them better!

"This bus is now approaching Chepst-OW" (as in, "ow I stubbed my toe").

"The next station stop will be Abergavenny/Why Fenny" (the Welsh name being Y Fenni).

Welsh is actually very logical, if you learn The Rules. I have not even slightly fully grasped The Rules when it comes to first letter mutations but other than that I can generally get Welsh words/names right despite only moving here as an adult.
