Spoilers thread for The Archers on BBC Radio 4 and BBC Sounds. All Archers listeners are welcome here, whether you post on our main Archers thread or not. There's just one rule: please keep all spoiler-related discussion in this thread and do not spill the beans on the main Archers thread.

We usually add the BBC teasers and cast lists for forthcoming episodes as they become available, plus the Radio Times and Daily Mail previews when possible. Feel free to add anything else you come across, e.g. cast news, scriptwriter tweets!

If Bert was hurt at all by the falling plaster, it can't have been that serious, otherwise Alan would have known about it. So I can't believe that any claim from him is going to be that expensive, and anyway it's something that Alan can just pass it on to the insurers to deal with.

Him having been hurt would mean he was even at the service that morning.

FatRosie · 10/04/2026 14:17

Thanks @Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g .
I posted them because I'd gone to look for them not because they were not here, iyswim. Don't want anything to happen to Brine.

Would Bert Horrobin have been in the church? It was Easter but I didn't have them as churchgoers.

I wonder if Den has some children other than Chelsea and Brad.

If Stella and Pip marry, what will their surnames be?

Archer, I expect. Pryor is not the name of the oldest landowning family in Ambridge, and Stella is not stupid in her quest for ownership of a farm.

FatRosie · 10/04/2026 15:19

They'll probably keep their own names, I expect, but you never know. I'm still hoping that the engagement will not lead to a wedding. Fingers crossed for Pip to die in a farming accident of her own making.

She's a fictional character - I wouldn't wish any accident on a real live human being.

Gonners · 10/04/2026 15:54

I hope Pip goes the way of Weaver, haring off after Rosie with them both being mown down by Stella.

FatRosie · 10/04/2026 15:58

Yes but mown down by Ruth because the tractor brakes had been badly fixed by Pip.

Yes but mown down by Ruth because the tractor brakes had been badly fixed by Pip.

I agree ... that would be much better, particularly if it happens after (a) Pip and Stella are married and (b) ownership of the farm has been transferred to Pip.

GoodQueenWenceslaus · 12/04/2026 23:35

They're still being coy on the website about the previews for next week's episodes. Brian bares his soul to Lillian this week, so I wonder whether that means the Ruairi storyline is going to come to a head?

TottersBlatantlyTowardsTheBaileys · 13/04/2026 08:37

Won’t it just mean there’s another person in on the secret - who is prevailed upon to prevaricate and lie to keep it, causing confusion and distrust in their own relationships? Assuming the SWs decided to use the bottling as the centre point of a ripple in a 75th anniversary pond.

Madcats · 13/04/2026 10:18

I used to think that the absence of a cast list was significant, but I’ve concluded that it is just because somebody has been on holiday/off sick and their colleagues forgot!
Borrowbox usually sends me a new RT for the next week on Tuesdays, so I’ll see whether it is in there and pop it up.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 13/04/2026 13:56

Thanks. For about a week I was able to see the current RT via my public library membership, but last time I tried it seemed to think I needed to have a premium membership. Odd.

Told ya!

TottersBlatantlyTowardsTheBaileys · 13/04/2026 19:18

Whatever happened to the Brian who persuaded Lilian to return from wherever she and Matt had fled to when he was wanted for fraud?

Madcats · 14/04/2026 11:37

RT has arrived, so here are their spoilers for next week (19-24 April):

Ambridge Diary
Is anyone running a sweepstake on when Brian will crack? While he is in turmoil over whether George will go to the police, Adam is pushing for clarity on the Home Farm situation. there are sad faces at Bridge Farm as Tony's Angus cattle got to market and confusion between Rex and Chris leads to problems with the cricket team.

19 April - Lilian tries to reassure Alice, and there are more entries for The Battling Bulls logo.
20 April - Adam thinks abut the future, and Helen has a decision to make.
21 April - Ruth has things on her mind, and it's a sad day for Tony at Bridge Farm.
22 April - The countryside comes to life at the Rewilding, and Chelsea prepares a bride for her wedding day.
23 April - Miranda moves into Home Farm, and Kirsty swears Helen to secrecy.
24 April - David needs help with the Dorchester Show, and Rex tries to put things right

Brian Aldridge … Charles Collingwood
David Archer …Timothy Bentinck
Helen Archer … Louiza Patikas

Chelsea Horrobin … Madeleine Leslay
Adam Macy … Andrew Wincott
Kirsty Miller …. Annabelle Dowler
Stella Pryor … Lucy Speed

Sophe … Aimee Berwick

TottersBlatantlyTowardsTheBaileys · 14/04/2026 11:41

Oooh! What secret does Kirsty have? There has been the odd mention of her FWB - could she be pregnant? (Which could be grim if Helen is, too, and history repeats itself for Kirsty. Hope it’s not that.)

FatRosie · 14/04/2026 11:46

Thanks, @Madcats . Den and Sophe are the bride and groom - more new characters.
I can't believe that they're selling the cattle. I hope that they fail to meet the reserve and Tony gets them home again.

Kirsty swears Helen to secrecy - will probably be something like she saw Oliver on his way back from Home Farm very early in the morning, or she had a ONS with Chris Carter.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 14/04/2026 16:13

No, Den is Tracy's ex, father to Chelsea and Brad. Same actor as the last time Den spoke (over a decade ago if IMDB is to be believed). Sophe may well be the bride.

Thanks, @Madcats!

TottersBlatantlyTowardsTheBaileys · 14/04/2026 16:26

Hmm … I was convinced Sophe must be Den’s current partner, and also that it’s too soon for Pip to be being prepped for the Events Barn.

💡Den and Sophe are getting married!

FatRosie · 14/04/2026 18:10

Den is Tracy's ex, father to Chelsea and Brad. Yes. he was only a passing character at the time but I wouldn't put it past the SW to make a SL about him and Sophe.

TottersBlatantlyTowardsTheBaileys · 14/04/2026 18:21

Sorry, @FatRosie- my brain’s slow today; you’d already made that suggestion!

TottersBlatantlyTowardsTheBaileys · 14/04/2026 18:23

He was a definite disappointment to his offspring last time they met up - so perhaps he’s about to be jilted at the altar?

(Not that Kirsty had done anything to deserve it …)

FatRosie · 14/04/2026 18:45

No need to apologise, but thanks @TottersBlatantlyTowardsTheBaileys , I'm a bit distracted.

TRIGGER WARNING

A few months ago a young man working at the supermarket said his girlfriend was pregnant. Anyway, I was there today as I had driven on a whim, and he was there.
I asked if he was a father yet and yes, the baby is a few weeks old and doing fine. The mother delivered him (no c-section) but very very nearly died from sepsis due to the lack of hygiene by one of the midwives.
I'm absolutely shocked.
The hospital is in a well-to-do area, leafy home-counties commuter belt, and doesn't have a bad reputation.

Hospital are denying it. Next time I see him I'm going to tell him to contact their MP. If what he said is true, it's f-ing outrageous.
