Thank you, @PseudoBadger, for kicking off this long, long series of Archers threads.

Archers All views on The Archers welcome here! New blood welcomed, and of course we are always delighted to welcome back former or occasional listeners/posters. We don't all agree on all points, although we do mostly try to be civil about it. Most of us are posting tongue in cheek a lot of the time, so don't worry about revealing that you think George Grundy isn't a psychopath, or other unusual views. Grin

I thought the John Cleese bit was just to show that flashbacks etc can come out of (seemingly) nowhere. One minute they’re laughing and then the opposite - the juxtaposition too.

There must be a reason why Adam is being given a fourth half sister. Maybe a scam, maybe it will turn out that he is really Tom Forrest's long lost son. He did not sound overly fussed about the death of his birth father. However, that fits in with his laissez faire attitude to ever trying to meet him when he was alive.

Elizabeth alluded to the fact that Freddie will one day be in charge of Lower Loxley. I really hope he has married Chelsea by then. He needs someone with more than two brain cells to show him the way.

Maybe Adam will be scammed by the new sister BUT it will be exposed when his REAL DAD will turn up having heard of his mum's death. It will turn out that he stayed away all throughouyt Adams life as he was asked to but now he wants a relationship with his son........

Good luck to anyone trying to scam Adam, who not so long ago had to raid the Home Farm account to pay a £5k rewiring bill. I don't imagine he and Ian have much in the bank these days.

My latest theory...

Pat hears someone in the farmyard at night... assumes it is Rob.
Shoots said intruder.
It isn't Rob ....
Intruder might be George as he is now breaking into places when high etc etc ..
Cue protracted court case... Free the Ambridge One...

the thought of Tracey being Mother of the Year material made me roll my eyes a bit. All part of her Camilla-like PR rehabilitation I guess.

Paul is the new vet nurse seconded to Alistair and Jakob by Lovell James when Denise was sent elsewhere. By complete coincidence, he turns out to be Denise's son. He's also gay and flirted with Ruari and can be very stereotypically camp when it suits a plotline.
