All views on The Archers welcome here! New blood welcomed. We don't all agree on all points and most of us are posting tongue in cheek a lot of the time, so don't worry about revealing that you like the sound of Lilian’s Cinnamon Chicken, or other unusual views.

I'm often struck by the time a thread ends how irrelevant the previous title has become to what's currently going on in The Archers. The Queen's death has only been mentioned very briefly in TA, of course, but I suppose that was to be expected in a time of budget constraints. In a few weeks when this thread fills up I wonder if we will still be thinking that, and about Chelsea and her pregnancy. That depends on what she decides to do, which at the time of writing is still up in the air.

As usual, I asked for title ideas and for various reasons then didn't use them. Sorry. Lillian Gish's was very witty - Will Chelsea stay mum about dad? Muddler made a more controversial one - Horrobins thread #139. As a new Great House of Ambridge emerges, come swear your allegiance here.

That's about all I can face saying about TA at the moment. I am expecting to have to travel north soon as my Dad is in hospital and I have to be with my Mum. (They're the same sort of age as Jill Archer, and up to now have been like her and Peggy, very active, managing very well with no help, but this may all be about to change ). So apologies if I'm more absent than present for a while. Will pop in when I can.

I'm sorry to hear about your dad, Gaspode, I hope all will be well.

For TA, my current wonder is whether Blake will have gone home by tonight's episode. Ever since he was invited in for a cup of tea on Sunday I thought he might end up staying, and sure enough he was still there for most of Monday, including doing DIY around the house. He's back to work on Tuesday, according to Chelsea, so presumably the lift home from Lynda and Robert will have gone as planned, but I'd give it 50/50 that he's still in Ambridge. I can't see how he could fit in 6 The Green with Tracy, Jazzer, Chelsea, Brad, and Bert; the queue for the bathroom must be long! I do like Blake, and I hope he becomes more of a regular character. But not living with the Horrobins.

Justin and Lilian have just gone back home, so Lynda and Robert have a spare bedroom...

Jim and Alistair have a spare room. And Blake made himself useful doing some odd jobs in their kitchen I seem to remember so they probably wouldn’t mind him staying with them.

It certainly appears to be the case that Blake is getting a fuller role in the cast. Doubtless he'll end up working a Grey Gables in due course.

Are we supposed to believe David and Ruth are amazing parents? They're not are they?. It's evident in the way Pip is the golden child and Josh is the scapegoat.

Not sure I care to hear more from Kenton's teenage diary didn't we have all this nostalgic nonsense with David and his leather jacket from the attic?

I need to listen again but did Lily really compare what she's going through to Chelsea's current predicament?
