Thanks Asking. I didn't realise that Fallon had kept her surname.

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 05/02/2022 17:25

She must have been in the casts with that name for ages and ages without me taking it in, because I hadn't realised either.

Having taken in the spoilers saying that both Kirsty and Natasha will be stunned during the coming week, I also now have

Daily Mail Weekend Magazine Archers Update 6th - 10th February
The run-up to Valentine’s Day can be a trying time for those who live on the other side of the dark and swirling waters of the mighty Am. Flyers for The Bull’s coming romantic event leave some villagers wondering if it’s worth shaving their legs and investing in new undercrackers ahead of the big bash. Hopes are raised in some hearts, but salt is rubbed in the wounds of others.
And who is more wounded than Kirsty? This will be a painful week for her as Tom breaks the news that his Welsh wife is pregnant, leaving Kirsty to deal with a deluge of regrets. Will a heartfelt gift from an unexpected quarter ease her pain?
Meanwhile, Chelsea jumps the gun by getting herself a date ahead of Valentine’s Day.

WhoppingBigBackside · 06/02/2022 16:13

And both stunned by a gift or gesture.

How many weeks pregnant is Batty Natty now? Might the unexpected gift be Peggy offering Kursedy a role in the rewilding project

I am so excited at the thought of Tom telling Kursedy - he is so emotionally intelligent isn't he

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 06/02/2022 17:43

I'm not entirely convinced that one or other lot of spoilers doesn't simply have the wrong name in it; we'll have to wait and see.

Yes, Tom's revelation to his ex should be something to hear.

WhoppingBigBackside · 06/02/2022 17:50

Unless it is a gift to Nasher that leaves Kursedy stunned

TottersBlankly · 06/02/2022 19:29

So … Chelsea has a date with Jake Grundy? Exciting! (Certainly a less miserable prospect than Tom and Kirsty taking over their shared history.)

Thank you for the spoilers.

WhoppingBigBackside · 06/02/2022 20:11

Thanks Asking. No Pip. Smile

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 06/02/2022 22:12

No Brookfield Archers at all, hurrah.

BoreOfWhabylon · 07/02/2022 13:07

Thanks Asking. I'm also wondering if Krusty is going to be gifted the rewilding project (and Rex)

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 07/02/2022 13:36

Oooh, that might make sense; giving her some sort of purpose in life by presenting her with a job a bit more allied to her ideals than folding towels at Grey Gables certainly might leave her stunned.

BoreOfWhabylon · 07/02/2022 17:27

Yes, and an unattached man thrown in for good measure.

BoreOfWhabylon · 07/02/2022 17:29

@WhoppingBigBackside

Unless it is a gift to Nasher that leaves Kursedy stunned
Or vice versa!
WhoppingBigBackside · 07/02/2022 17:33

Maybe Tom will offer to donate some ... for Kursedy to have a turkey baster baby

TottersBlankly · 07/02/2022 17:43

What did Kirsty do with the £2k Peggy gave her as a reward for the Tom pregnancy?

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 07/02/2022 17:47

@TottersBlankly

What did Kirsty do with the £2k Peggy gave her as a reward for the Tom pregnancy?
Lowfield for 16th March, 2017 has the answer:

When Kirsty goes to see Peggy she says she is feeling better after a rough patch and Roy and Helen have been taking care of her. She tries to return the cheque but Peggy says it wasn't a down payment on another grandchild. It's always good to have a nest egg. Peggy says she has no idea how the family would have coped over the last year without Kirsty. She wants Kirsty to take the cheque as a mark of gratitude. Kirsty says she certainly knows how to get her own way. And she does accept though she doesn't know what she will do with it.

TottersBlankly · 07/02/2022 18:23

Ha! So she may still have it? (Though complicated by intervening marriage and divorce.)

Maybe she’ll be passing it on …

DePfeffoff · 09/02/2022 23:18

I'm guessing it's going to be Natasha stunned by a gift from Kirsty, presumably to do with the babies.

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 10/02/2022 20:36

You were right; but what is the explanation for this from RT:

"And what is the heartfelt gift that leaves Kirsty stunned?"

or this from the Mail:

"...leaving Kirsty to deal with a deluge of regrets. Will a heartfelt gift from an unexpected quarter ease her pain?"

I didn't hear Kirsty being given anything. She's the one who made the gift to Natasha.

DePfeffoff · 10/02/2022 23:20

Simple cock-up from one or both, I suspect.

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 13/02/2022 11:49

Ooops. I meant to post these yesterday, but Stuff happened and I forgot.

Radio Times Ambridge Diary 13th - 17th February
Despite being a rather rigid and unbending type, Jim has somehow found himself with more than one unwanted house guest. So, in order to keep at least some control, he tries to set some ground rules. But will these regulations prove to be his undoing?
Brian is also trying to nip potential problems in the bud as he strives to keep Alice and Chris's divorce as amicable as possible. Hence him making a surprising offer - but will his gift be accepted? Alice, meanwhile, pays her first visit to the solicitor, and is left contemplating more than just her own future....
The much-anticipated Valentine's event goes off at the Bull meanwhile, and Kirsty makes a shocking decision.

Daily Mail Weekend Magazine Archers Update 13th - 17th February
Ambridge’s roads can be lethal, and this winter, they have been made all the more hazardous by restless villagers on the move. They trundle about with their worldly goods, returning to old homes, settling under the roofs of others or even making that epic journey across the swirling waters of the Am. Now, Jim finds himself caught up in this whirl of activity as more than one unwanted house guest puts pressure on the Greenacres ménage à trois. Having Kate stomping about doesn’t help, and the aftermath of Valentine’s Day will bring its own challenges. You would be advised to keep your wits about you if you’re thinking of taking a walk through Ambridge in these restless times.

==============================================================

I really don't think that ménage à trois means what they think it means; I can't see Jim, Alistair and Jazzer as being in a romantic or sexual relationship, and they'd have to be for the phrase to be apposite there.

BoreOfWhabylon · 13/02/2022 12:14

Thanks Asking. Lots to mull over there

Madcats · 14/02/2022 17:02

Thanks Asking

A "shock" for Rex and a "shocking decision" for Kirsty. I guess that means they'll be rewilding together by the end of the week.

I wonder what horrors they are going to inflict on us after Valentine's Day! I suppose it will be Jubilee parties/bellringing etc

MollyButton · 18/02/2022 07:22

It does make you wonder with those spoilers if the Mail had even heard the episodes. There hasn't been any fall out from Valentines yet - one bit of Alice trying to pair Rex and Amy and a vague mention of Derek Fletcher don't count really.

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 18/02/2022 15:59

I don't as a rule expect the spoilers to have all that much to do with what is broadcast, but if I have them I will post them because why not? And the cast-list may give useful hints.

So here we go again:

BBC One-Liners
20 Feb Pip finds herself unstuck and Alice takes a step in the right direction.
21 Feb Rex faces his accusers and Tracy is on a quest.
22 Feb One resident attempts to play Cupid and speculation mounts about Rex.
23 Feb Nerves are frayed at Berrow and Chris faces a negotiation.
24 Feb Amy faces the consequences of her actions and Brian makes a controversial move.

Radio Times Ambridge Diary 19th - 25th February 2022 Rex is preparing to move out of the bungalow but is so cagey about his plans, there's mounting speculation from his fellow villagers as to what he might be up to. Pip, meanwhile, doesn't seem keen on the new tenant, but might she come unstuck when she indulges in a spot of sabotage? Neil and Hannah face trouble at Berrow, and when those higher up the food chain get involved, the nightmare intensifies. Soon, Justin is on the warpath, while Brian makes a controversial move that could get him and others into heaps of trouble. Alice thinks she can solve Amy's problems, and Tracy tries to reignite interest in the cricket team - but she has her work cut out.

I wonder when Stella is going to get a surname.

BoreOfWhabylon · 18/02/2022 19:43

Thanks Asking. Lots of possibilities there. Also, I see Hannah is making a reappearance. Presumably to do with Berrow.
