Oh, I forgot

aaand...

We're back in the room!

thislido · 09/04/2019 21:12

The speculation on ML was that it's Freddie's Offender Manager.

thislido · 09/04/2019 21:13

That does seem possible. S & A, I mean.

BoreOfWhabylon · 09/04/2019 21:13

Ah, that makes sense!

KingscoteStaff · 09/04/2019 22:15

Shula with Carol's daughter? Re LateLifeLesbianism, I mean.

KingscoteStaff · 09/04/2019 22:18

And who's Jim harsh-wording this time?

thislido · 09/04/2019 22:19

Hard to guess since he disapproves of literally everyone.

Motoko · 10/04/2019 00:02

Leonard's confession will be to Shula about the painting he's supposed to be doing. He really didn't sound like he wanted to do it, when (I forget who it was) said Shula wanted to see him on Wednesday about it.

I can totally see Shula having a lesbian relationship.

Yep, Jazzer's going to stop working for Tom. That's why we've had Tom and Natasha accusing him of stuff over the last couple of weeks, to rile him up and give him a reason to drop tools.

Ed will take that driving job, but feel really uncomfortable about it.

StillDumDeDumming · 10/04/2019 10:31

I find Shula self obsessed and pretty much my least favourite character. She will be insufferable questioning her sexuality/ faith etc - it’s making me grumpy

GeorgeTheBleeder · 10/04/2019 11:30

Nooooo, Ed!

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!

thislido · 10/04/2019 12:35

Just spotted ‘an old mystery rears it head’. Resolution of the missing collection money?

OverInfestedBadger · 10/04/2019 12:49

Leonard can’t really paint. The old mystery - was there a petty crime spree which Tim will have been involved in?

KingscoteStaff · 10/04/2019 13:18

or bunting?

MollyButton · 10/04/2019 13:49

From Academic Archers from what I understand of the talk it was much more about the language that Shula has been using and the conflict she has faced in ending her marriage was much closer to a "queer" narrative than for example the Adam and Ian narrative.
Adam and Ian could easily pass for a (boring) heterosexual couple. Shula's need to self discover and break away from "expectations" sounds more like a "coming out story".
But if the headline was taken alone (like the Daily Mail did with another paper), then it could be misconstrued as speaking about Shula's sexuality.

MollyButton · 10/04/2019 13:51

Oh and old mystery: could it be Tim is behind most of the rural crime wave of the last few years (tractors, cows etc).

TheMadGardener · 10/04/2019 14:47

Ed will find the stolen bunting in the back of Tim's van!!! Shock Shock Shock

Acis · 10/04/2019 14:54

Ed tries to solve his cash-flow crisis by accepting an offer he can't refuse, but it may be the beginning of a dangerous game

I despair. Do we really have to listen our way through all the tedium of a Grundy yet again getting into deep shit through sheer bloody stupidity? I may have to go onto the podcast and fast forward those bits.

GabrielleNelson · 10/04/2019 17:53

Molly, I know little and have no desire to know more about queer theory, but Shula?! Goodness me.

On Twitter and elsewhere on the web I quite often see references to people who self-describe as queer and what it seems to mean is 'There is nothing very unusual or distinctive about me and that's insupportable so I'm going to self-identify as queer because then everybody will realise how special I am!' Perhaps I'm being cynical. OTOH, that sounds quite a bit like Shula ...

thislido · 10/04/2019 19:12

Shula's need to self discover and break away from "expectations" sounds more like growing up to me.

MollyButton · 13/04/2019 13:30

Freddie went to the Tea Room which isn't licensed. And I don't think anyone has told him about his effect on the license at Lower Loxley - which I expected Kenton to spill the beans on yesterday.

thislido · 13/04/2019 14:14

Was that meant for the other thread, Molly?

MollyButton · 13/04/2019 17:44

Don't know how that happened (better here than Relationships)

GeorgeTheBleeder · 17/04/2019 17:30

So ... after his set-to with Freddie yesterday is Russ going to decide to move out of LL? Leaving Lily to explain his reasoning tomorrow?

Surely either moving or, at the very least, that he’s going to look for a job? The Prodigal’s return really does emphasise the Artist’s incubus status.

BoreOfWhabylon · 17/04/2019 19:28

Not judging by tonight. Ross is getting his feet more firmly under the table. I can see Freddie moving out at this rate.

GeorgeTheBleeder · 17/04/2019 19:38

I wonder if his “my friend has a room” speech was purposely designed to finesse Elizabeth into protecting him from Freddie ...
