Sounds like Natasha is Tom’s Nuffield friend rather than Russ’s wife. At least I think that was her name.

Gruach · 22/08/2018 05:42

What a strange way of working towards Oliver being the character witness for Freddie. It made no sense at all for Elizabeth to ask Neil - though I loved the meta-thing of having the SW acknowledge through Neil that they had completely failed to establish any connection between Frilly and Ambridge (other than friendships with their similarly aged relatives).

Neil was so good - as always.

Ages ago someone posted a prediction (based, l think, on someone who knew someone who’d overheard some of the TA team discussing future plots) that there’d be a big fire at LL. I wonder if we’re working up to that now - Ellis is the obvious potential arsonist, but Lily? Call me Russ?and who else. Of course so much time has passed and several changes of editor, so it’s quite easy to be.ieve it’s been shelved as an idea.

Radio Times

Thanks, Gump!

TheMadGardener · 22/08/2018 21:15

Susan admits everything to Clarrie? Has she been sabotaging the cheese in connection with her kefir experiments?

Gruach · 22/08/2018 21:29

Thanks!

I can see one saving erm ... grace ... for next week ...

Grin
witchmountain · 23/08/2018 00:33

Maybe Oliver is helping with the licence rather than Freddie then as the timing is wrong for court.

witchmountain · 23/08/2018 00:35

And thanks Gump!

D0do · 23/08/2018 10:01

Yes, licensing hearing is my guess. Kefir - interesting! I was assuming we're in for a protracted SL where Lynda goes on and on about the llama drama and eventually Susan admits responsibility.

Bekabeech · 23/08/2018 10:06

And Tracey is heard again!

Guienne · 23/08/2018 13:04

Maybe Susan has been falsifying the cheese fermentation records? She'll blame it all on the workload from Tom and the cheesemaking classes, of course.

witchmountain · 23/08/2018 14:20

I was going to say that maybe her smouldering resentment at The Extra Work had contaminated the cheese.

witchmountain · 23/08/2018 21:51

Have we found our suitor for Jazzer?

How can Tom be so totally oblivious to the deafening lack of romantic interest on Natasha’s part?

Tom and Helen do take themselves terribly seriously, don’t they. What was John like? I don’t remember him.

BoreOfWhabylon · 24/08/2018 01:06

Tom will throw himself at Natasha. Hannah will throw herself at Tom. Round and round it goes.

Tom sounds about 14. He's supposed to be mid/late 30s, ffs.

Giuliani warns of “people’s revolt” if Trump is held accountable for criminal behavior. He was speaking from a golf cart at a Trump-owned course in Scotland news.sky.com/story/rudy-giuliani-impeaching-trump-would-mean-peoples-revolt-11480366

Oops. Sorry wrong thread. Blush

Don't confuse the SWs, we'll have Trump opening next year's fete!

Gumpendorf · 24/08/2018 16:28

Now that would be a storyline. A Trump golf course bid. I bet he's a friend of Brian Grin

Oh. Sad Have just heard on PM that Patricia Greene (Jill) has macular degeneration. I think they said she’ll be on Broadcasting House on Sunday.

witchmountain · 26/08/2018 19:19

Thanks for the tip-off, Gruach, I enjoyed that, despite the subject matter.

Gruach · 26/08/2018 19:29

I was a little taken aback by her gratitude to her colleagues for accommodating her reading difficulties.

They have to. It’s the law.

witchmountain · 26/08/2018 19:35

Well yes, but perhaps she “doesn’t like to be any trouble”. I would find having to rely on other people like that really difficult.

witchmountain · 26/08/2018 19:45

Although I hope by the time I’m 87 I am less bothered by troubling other people!
