I can only make sense of the attorney thing by assuming that Ruairi doesn't get his full partnership until he's 25. Still, I'm glad they've remembered he exists. Sets us up nicely for future family conflict.

ppeatfruit · 26/06/2017 10:06

I reckon that Lil HAS broken something but is pretending\hoping otherwise, she doesn't do 'weakness' very well. Odd that we are to assume don't know if she rode home, which would 've been unlikely given the fall.

Hang on you lot; this isn't the effing East Enders you know, we don't need heavy dramatics every day.

MrsArthurShappey · 26/06/2017 13:07

Oh god, why have they made Auntie Cardboard speak again? Is she going to be pushed down the stairs by the evil moggy?

TheAntiBoop · 26/06/2017 14:02

Christine isn't purposefully being a bad landlady - she's an accidental landlady and doesn't know what she's doing. And how is she supposed to know there are issues to fix in the house if they don't tell her? She would be wise to pay amside to manage it for her.

RubyRoseRing · 26/06/2017 14:03

ppeat, I nwondered too why there was no further mention of the horse. The beast must still be out there as nobody seemed to catch it.Smile

Thanks to you lot, I've realised I have to LA as I clearly wasn't paying attention last night. Fallon in the shower And a useless cardboard landlady was all I got.

TheAntiBoop · 26/06/2017 14:38

Matt got the horse

RubyRoseRing · 26/06/2017 15:19

Did he? Phew, thank goodness someone was paying attention!!

viques · 26/06/2017 19:10

yay! Justin (smooth operator)1 : Pat (tiger mother to useless children) 0.

Jenijena · 27/06/2017 03:29

Just listened to tonight's on catch up. Gosh there's a lot of irritating storylines around. Eddie and the Air B&B crap (what is the market for holiday makers in the rural west mids after all?), the Bridge farm crap without mention of anything legal, the irritating Lillian. And a builder (who sounded like a Welsh Harrison to me, in a buy-one-accent-get-one-free sort of way). Why so much with a builder? Future saviour of the cricket team?

PseudoBadger · 27/06/2017 06:02

Not another builder character. Reminds me of someone....

OP posts:
Imbroglio · 27/06/2017 07:48

Yes, Lexi and now this new builder.. Hopefully some more interesting plot lines.

Anyone else think Justin made a right fool of himself trying to be friends with Bridge Farm after shafting them? And I think Lilian is losing interest.

Ceto · 27/06/2017 08:50

Neither Justin nor Pat came off well there. It was daft of Justin to think it wouldn't hurt that he'd shafted them, but equally daft of Pat to act all offended about being given £30,000.

But why did they have to meet up to sign anyway? Surely it could and should have been done through solicitors? Pat and Tony would have to be insane not to get any agreement legally checked.

Ceto · 27/06/2017 08:52

So who's the builder going to pair up with? My money's on Kirsty. Unless he's going to be another one for Adam's roving eye.

Minimammoth · 27/06/2017 09:44

Arghh totally unbelievable sale of land plot line. Buying a tiny patch took us best part of a year, before signing and money exchange. Where are the solicitors, land searches, rights of way, uplift percentages, etc

RubyRoseRing · 27/06/2017 18:34

In a show of solidarity with at least one other contributor to these threads, may I tell you all about my Tim Farron dream? There was no nakedness and no sun lounger involved though. In fact (now for a very tenuous relevance to TA!) it was a drama, in which TF was playing himself and everyone was talking of how much he looked like, well, Tim Farron. No idea why this came up last night. I am pretty sure he wasn't even in the news yesterday.

DadDadDad · 27/06/2017 20:17

Ruby - is that really appropriate?

Grin
RolfNotRudolf · 27/06/2017 21:24

I'd quite like a dream about Corbyn, if we're going through current (or recently current) political leaders Blush

BoreOfWhabylon · 28/06/2017 00:29

Ruby I read your post as saying TF was playing with himself. Shock

Not what one expects on an Archers thread.

echt · 28/06/2017 00:34

Ruby I read your post as saying TF was playing with himself.

Me too.

Soo.. Harrison and Fallon get really serious. All it took was a stuffed-up boiler.

RubyRoseRing · 28/06/2017 15:27

Oh dear, some of you do have dirty minds. I'm sure TF never does filfy things like that. He is a Christian don't you know!!

Anyway, to the matter in hand. TA. Was I the only listener who thought it ever so slightly that PC Plot mentioned wanting a conservatory for all Fallon's work stuff? I regard conservatories as a bit of a luxury, a place you might use as a spare room but to sit in, not to store stuff in. Unless they are plants maybe.

And to Will. I know there are some Will lovers amongst you, but I think there is now no more doubt about whether the writers want us to regard him as a naice person. He might have been cuckolded by his brother (many years ago and he has a new wife too) but l don't think that could now be an excuse for his present-day behaviour.

RubyRoseRing · 28/06/2017 15:31

Rolf, luckily I don't need dreams about Mr Corbyn as my husband has a similar furry-faced look, and is a similar age, with similar political views. Smile If pushed, I'd have to say that JC has a better physique but a body's not everything.

TheAntiBoop · 28/06/2017 16:06

My fil could be corbyns double in looks as well as sartorial style and political views although my fil has more integrity

ppeatfruit · 28/06/2017 16:20

Nic doesn't seem to be able to influence Will into being a normal pleasant human bean at the moment. She ought to join the cricket team that'd learn him.

Vango · 28/06/2017 19:10

Well. What a MASSIVE hypocrite David is...."not in the best interests of the village"!!! Have we forgotten the Great North Move and £7 million already?

DadDadDad · 28/06/2017 19:25

Hey, Vango, haven't heard from you in a while!
