TheAntiBoop · 14/06/2017 19:54

I'm just waiting for the pope to do a special guest appearance and make pip a living Saint

yikesanotherbooboo · 14/06/2017 20:51

Quite... just seem my poop typo! Forgotten what I meant to write but the sentiment is eerily on point !

MoominFlaps · 14/06/2017 21:52

Who the hell is this James and is he three years old Confused.

Imbroglio · 14/06/2017 22:21

I want a lot more information about Lilian and Justin's bathroom.

Please can the scriptwriters contrive a plot whereby Susan has to gain entry to the Chamber.

echt · 15/06/2017 01:05

I think the real problem about the ensuite is having to get past the swing in the bedroom.

And that James. Is he meant to provide some dramatic contrast with Freddie as petulant and entitled? All that stuff about the breakfast not being what he wanted, big man-baby. He'll be wanting bitty next.

TheAntiBoop · 15/06/2017 09:20

It's odd because leonie is also extremely high maintenance so I can't see how they managed together. They surely each need someone who they can brow beat and get to do all the dull stuff.

Argh. I need mind-bleach.

I predict that we will have a short period of amusingHmm James and Leonie bickering but the pure and wholesome ambience of Ambridge will bring those Townies to their senses. The rapprochement will result in baby Jerry.

LillianGish · 15/06/2017 10:32

I can understand Elizabeth's fury with Freddie. That said neither she nor Nigel were exactly line-toers in their youth. It seems to be setting up the storyline for the unfairness of inheritance - Freddie looks set to squander his good fortune on having a good time while Lily, eminently more suited to taking over the reins from her mum, stands by and valiantly holds the fort. I'm still wondering if a festival-conceived heir won't be turning up further down the line. All that talk of facing up to responsibilities.

R4 · 15/06/2017 11:05

Lizzie started off so well but then reverted to type.
Lily is the one entitled to be furious - she agreed to go to the SFC for Freddie's sake and now he's going to pack it in.
Lizzie is clueless. She's all over Freddie but ignoring Lily. Where's the talk of subject choices, Open Days, personal statements, work experience.

Ceto · 15/06/2017 11:55

Haven't we been here before with James and Leonie, resulting in Mungo not getting terminated? Surely there has to be a limit to the number of times they go round the same block.

BertrandRussell · 15/06/2017 12:03

James is just too two dimensionally awful. He always has been.

CeciledeVolanges · 15/06/2017 12:19

I pity poor Mungo. I don't even like hearing that sort of toxic atmosphere played for laughs. He is going to be so messed up when he is older. It's awful to be a child in that sort of home.

MrsArthurShappey · 15/06/2017 16:29

Thanks for the new thread. How Pat didn't choke when Susan said 'I don't gossip' I'll never know!

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 15/06/2017 18:53

Boop for Baby Jerry to go with Toddler Mungo! I suspect only the older thread members will get that. Grin

Gruach · 15/06/2017 19:09

Got ...

Grin
Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 15/06/2017 19:15

Oh dear, Josh.

Gruach · 15/06/2017 19:38

Do they actually plan stories any more - or just scroll through these threads for storylines?Grin

echt · 15/06/2017 22:34

You read my mind, Gruach.

mummytime · 15/06/2017 23:04

Well if David listened to Josh he would have been able to see that coming last year. And could at least have got an agreement not to withdraw before this summer. (And I have DC that exactly that age, and am careful to talk and listen to them, and come to agreements).

echt · 16/06/2017 00:40

All the happy plans for what to do with the £1m doesn't appear to include paying off Helen's legal fees which haven't been mentioned,so as I can remember, since they are first raised in TA.

I can't help thinking that, part from sloppy storylines, this will turn out to be a case of not counting your chickens before they're hatched.

MikeUniformMike · 16/06/2017 01:19

Ruth and David aren't the best parents are they. Pip is ghastly. Josh used to be lovely but is now a git. Poor Ben has been missing for a few years. Never mind, Jill will bake some flapjacks.

EsmesBees · 16/06/2017 01:55

Remember that terrible storyline where James and Leonie were writing a book about village life and kept randomly turning up at events and remarking on the quaintness of Eddie Grundy? That was a bad time.

veryangrybee · 16/06/2017 07:45

Lilian is dead cheeky trying to foist James on to Home Farm....

selsigfach · 16/06/2017 08:17

Quite. I'm sure that the Dower House, with its two bathrooms, is not a teeny one-bedroom cottage. If she doesn't want her frightful son living with her, why should anyone else put up with him? Alternatively, he could Airbnb with the aforementioned quaint Eddie and send some cash the Grundys' way.
