Am i the only one listening to Homefront?

I download the whole lot at the beginning of the week and binge listen whilst walking the dogs. Just listened to the extra programme they put out today and, unusually for me, i found it so touching and sad.

Anyone else?

I wonder what will happen to Esme - will she still be in Belgium at the start of WW2?

I was also thinking about Baby May. Who does everyone else in Victor's family think she is? Do they think she's a child Kitty found? Won't it seem odd if she looks like Peter? Maybe she doesn't, I suppose.

Ive just started listening to Tommies from the beginning - 30 hours. I have no idea how I managed to miss this over 4 years.
Still got the last 2 series of Homefront to listen to as well.

I had a good weep at the end. Although they all pleased me (especially Adaline, Esme and her Mum) I thought that there were rather a lot of happy endings. Did they check in with Ivy and Dennis?

Yes. Ivy and Dennis got a name check by Florrie at her funeral. She said that there were ‘no babies for them yet’ but that Ivy didn’t mind.

I know that we finished in Folkestone but I’m wondering how people are getting on in Devon and in Tyneside too. ( over invested or what?)

Can't deny I didn't well up during the episode. Thought it was great.

Though I'm sure I've forgotten more than I recall. They need to update the character lists with what happened to them all over the last four years as well as how they ended up!!

Oh my gosh, I hated those two. I would rage about them to my OH, the social climbing bigots.

Yes, the toy shop people were vile, but I was listening to Christmas 1916 last night. He was being thoroughly patronised by ‘proper chaps’. I found myself conflicted. I know how vile his political and business activities are but I felt sorry for him.
It’s one of the reasons why the series is good. There’s a bit of nuance.
