And so it continues. We still have one long-term prediction from the start of the last thread that has not yet come to pass - the burning down of Lower Loxley.

But there is still time...

Yes she did have a discussion with Rex quite recently. They seem on better terms. I reckon he'll be cleaning up after the charming 'reliable' Tobeee again where she's concerned.

Gruach · 24/11/2016 13:31

Goodness.

I had completely forgotten the existence of this thread!

Thanks all - I knew there was something missing from my life!

ppeatfruit · 24/11/2016 13:34

I didn't know the existence of the "write your own Archers" thread, it's great! I do remember we discussed the idea of scriptwriting though.

Vango · 25/11/2016 09:47

Pat gives Susan a warning

Anything to do with Susan spreading gossip about Justin and Lillian?

Gumpendorf · 25/11/2016 11:50

Radio Times
3 - 9 December 2016

Kenton turns into a diva when he suggests script rewrites on Mother Goose before refusing to attend any extra rehearsals. What next, Kenton? A Winnebago on the green? A suite at Grey Gables for the press junket?

Toby is causing more problems for Rex when he sets his sights on Hollowtree as a location for his gin distillery. Unsurprisingly, Rex is unenthusiastic – in fact, he is downright panicky after David gets wind of the plans.

And Helen is losing sleep over the prospect of the final family court hearing because she can't rule out the possibility of Rob getting more contact time with Jack.

Anna Tregorran in the cast this week and Jess is in the cast for the week of 11 December.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 25/11/2016 12:02

Jess!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks, Gump!

ppeatfruit · 25/11/2016 12:23

My favourite spoiler would be Brine dropping dead or having a major U turn and Adam turning the whole of Home Farm organic, I don't know why he doesn't suggest it.

Anyone else got any spoilers that they would
like to see?

Vango · 25/11/2016 13:55

Yes ppeat. Briefly:

Lillian is upset but is consoled and surprised by a welcome visitor (Matt)

and

Justin makes his feelings clear to Rob (don't think for a second that it's wise to do anything to interfere with my life).

or

The new occupants make a grim discovery at Berrow Farm. Jenny and David talk to Harrison.

😁😁

PS. Don't touch Brian!

Vango · 25/11/2016 13:58

OR!!

Pip is relieved that the Brazilian job offer is still open.

ppeatfruit · 25/11/2016 14:35

That'd be a good one Vango Relieving the Pip and Toby haters on here and the Toby haters on TA! I don't mind Pip.

VictoriaMcdade · 25/11/2016 18:49

Peggy proves to be a crack shot...

WouldHave · 26/11/2016 14:28

I came here to see if Pip was finally going to see sense about Toby having discovered that he lied to her about having checked the legality of the still. No such luck. The woman just thinks with her genitals, doesn't she?

ppeatfruit · 26/11/2016 14:54

Apart from opening his mouth about the still to Kenton, Toby isn't so terrible.
Loads of people make their own hooch . David should calm down a bit. Just talk about it to them. They are silly enough to dig they heels in with the raging.

WouldHave · 26/11/2016 16:31

I suspect the problem is that, by doing it on Brookfield, they put David and Ruth at risk of prosecution. I'd be seriously pissed off at that.

Gumpendorf · 26/11/2016 18:23

As requested by LowDudgeon*
*
Weekend Magazine* from 26 November
(Thanks to Mustardland as always)

Antlers have been clashing up at Home Farm all autumn and not just in the deer herd. Brian, who's been trampling all over Adam's herbal ley and mocking the weediness of his wheat, has a bold scheme that could bring in a pile of money - or have them all living in one of Kate's yurts by next Christmas.

As Brian ploughs on, Susan rounds up her reluctant family to pose for the photographer. She wants the Carters to exude an air of style and class, but not all share her vision.

Over at Brookfield, Toby's moonshine activities cast dark shadows while at the Mother Goose rehearsals, unresolved sexual tensions simmer on stage, as they do each year.*

LowDudgeon · 26/11/2016 19:18

Lovely - poor Adam & his weedy wheat...

Thank you, Gump! Smile

WouldHave · 27/11/2016 13:11

I think Toby really is pretty terrible. He doesn't seem to think about or care that what he was doing in the pub could have cost Kenton and Jolene their licence, their home and their living, or that he could get David and Ruth prosecuted. Plus he has lied to the person he supposedly loves. And it's all in pursuit of an obviously impractical lazy get-rich-quick scheme which he wants other people to finance. I have to assume he's amazingly good looking and a fantastic lover, otherwise he doesn't seem to have any redeeming qualities.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 28/11/2016 16:52

TOTAL TV GUIDE 3 - 9 DECEMBER 2016

Helen is beside herself as the day of the court hearing arrives, and it doesn't help that Henry is quizzing her about where Daddy will be spending Christmas.

Elizabeth enlists Kenton to help her choose a car for Freddie and Lily's 17th birthday, but he's more interested in grilling her about a possible romance with Richard.

Lynda is worried that Mother Goose is under-rehearsed, although Kate has imaginative, if lavish, costume plans.

Toby needs to find a new home for his still.

Ruth is determined to make this Christmas a good one.

Can Jill bury the hatchet with Pip?

Vango · 28/11/2016 17:16

Jill's more likely to bury the hatchet in Pip.

MrsArthurShappey · 29/11/2016 12:39

Oh God is Lily going to find her voice so we can hear endless arguments with Freddie about who has the car when?

ppeatfruit · 29/11/2016 15:09

Wouldhave Surely kentn'Jol are responsible for their licence, if they were stupid enough to try to sell Tobes' hooch, it would be their own fault.
Agree about Brookfield though.

WouldHave · 01/12/2016 09:31

Well, Kenton clearly thought his licence would be at risk if anyone were aware that Toby even had the gin on the premises. I know nothing about licensing law, but I suspect his worry was that the licensing authorities might take a dim view of someone conducting what was obviously a marketing exercise in totally illegal hooch on the premises.

Gumpendorf · 01/12/2016 22:10

WouldHave · 02/12/2016 13:59

I don't like the look of Helen having to put a brave face on things.

Pip making an investment - deposit on a flat a long way from Ambridge? We can always hope.
