And so it continues. We still have one long-term prediction from the start of the last thread that has not yet come to pass - the burning down of Lower Loxley.

But there is still time...

OP posts:
ppeatfruit · 03/12/2016 09:20

I posted the idea of Tobe and Rex really going for one another on the other thread but the actor who plays Rex had so much loathing in his voice (good bit of acting) that one could almost see the Cain and Abel story happening in TA Xmas Shock

Gumpendorf · 04/12/2016 17:26

My access to RT via a friend who saw the online version is no more,* and coincidentally, the mustardland spoilers have been spiked because of concerns over copyright.

I did look at RT and What's on TV in Tesco this afternoon. I'm not brave enough to take pictures of the previews but this is a summary of what I remember.
*
TV Magazines 10-16 December
*
Pat is shocked when Rob turns up at the school nativity play and lurks at the back

Helen is more understanding saying it must be difficult for Rob. (Does she still have feelings for him? says What's on TV)

Helen takes Jack to see Jess to discuss moving on from Rob.

Justin is pushing Brian to make an offer on the land but Peggy puts a spoke in the wheel.

Pip says she and Toby will be spending Christmas at Rickyards. Ruth begs her to reconsider.*

VictoriaMcdade · 05/12/2016 19:18

Well done Gump! Excellent detective work

Stickerrocks · 05/12/2016 19:20

Friday 30 December : Ruth lays down the law and Kirsty has news to share (how many weeks...?)

Gumpendorf · 06/12/2016 10:11

*The actual Radio Times
10 -16 December

After Rob shows up at the children's Nativity play, Pat expresses her anger at his nerve. But Helen is surprisingly empathetic, arguing that it must be hard for Rob at this time of year and that she did love him once. Someone else who had feelings for Rob is Jess, who gets a visit from Helen later in the week. As the pair talk about their experiences of recovering from being in Rob's clutches, both wonder whether they'll ever be able to move on.

Pip, meanwhile, announces that she'll be spending Christmas Day with Toby at Rickyard Cottage. Ruth tries to convince her that they could both join the rest of the family, and she'll ensure that Jill behaves. But can the festive spirit help to forge harmony between the Archers and the Fairbrothers?*

Vango · 06/12/2016 13:53

Pip makes an investment - she's going to use the money from the sale of the cows to apply for the license for Toby I reckon.

BoreOfWhabylon · 09/12/2016 09:59

Henry looks forward to Christmas Day
Knob has somehow got a message to him that he will meet him to deliver his present

Helen has an early start
She finds out that Henwee has sneaked out to meet Knob

A short RT piece for Christmas.

Radio Times
17-31 December
Writers: Tim Stimpson and Keri Davies

*
Good news: the airways are a Rob-free zone. That doesn't stop Henry asking if Daddy is spending Christmas on his own… And the curtain goes up at the Christmas show, as Kenton wildly ad libs.*

BoreOfWhabylon · 09/12/2016 14:19

Thanks Gumpendorf

So, either Knob has already gone postal and been locked up or he will simmer and seethe his way into the New Year.

Perhaps an Easter hostage-taking then?

OP posts:
DeepanKrispanEven · 11/12/2016 13:37

If Ruth is clashing with Jill about putting Pip off coming to them for Christmas, I do hope Jill points out that she wasn't that bothered about being with Pip or indeed any of them last Christmas. And that she can cook her own sodding Christmas dinner if she doesn't like it.

Gumpendorf · 12/12/2016 16:18

Gumpendorf · 19/12/2016 17:54

I'm not sure if this counts as a spoiler but Huw Kennair Jones is listed as the editor for the week ended 6 January.

I will miss Alison Hindall. She has done an amazing job recreating traditional Archers storylines and restoring my faith in the programme. Flowers

Vango · 19/12/2016 19:25

Agreed Gumpendorf. She's very cleverly managed all the different storylines and remembered at the same time to balance the more serious content with a regular dose of humour. Nice to have heard from so many old characters in the last few months as well. She's been brilliant.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 19/12/2016 20:35

I agree too.

Thanks, Gumpendorf, as ever, for these. First week of Jan is starting to sound ominous.

Vango · 20/12/2016 13:22

could Elizabeth have missed her chance?

Doc Locke is going to be very taken with Debbie 😉

Vango · 20/12/2016 13:24

Helen has an early start

Just getting up early with an excited boy, I'd say. Unlike her enforced lie-in last year.

DeepanKrispanEven · 20/12/2016 17:42

Let's hope she puts two and two together about that lie-in and realises she was drugged. I really hope her wishing things could be different doesn't mean wishing Rob could have more to do with Jack or Henry.

Gruach · 20/12/2016 19:01

So ... This is still spoilers, yes?

DEBBIE tonight!

Or so TA says on Twitter.

And I cannot wait for Kirsty's announcement!

Vango · 20/12/2016 19:05

Ha! There she is 😁. Watch out Richard. Oh my lord, Phoebe as well! Alison's going out with a bang 🎉.

Stickerrocks · 20/12/2016 20:17

Tamsin Greig is about to play Malvoilio, so the SW must have caught her at a good time.

Gumpendorf · 20/12/2016 22:43

13 Jan. Rob has a visitor, and Lilian is ready to party.

VictoriaMcdade · 20/12/2016 23:54

Lilian being 'ready to party' is a cheering thought...

Thanks Gumpf!

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 21/12/2016 13:16

Could Rob's visitor be a police officer? Oh please, oh please...

Looking very likely that Kirsty is pregnant, unless they are playing with us.

Thanks, Gumpendorf!

Gumpendorf · 22/12/2016 15:37

And I'm thinking these are the final spoilers to be published this year.
Happy Christmas everyone and and may 2017 be an excellent year for TA.

*Radio Times
31 December to 6 January

Could the Bridge Farm Archers be facing another arduous battle with Rob? It certainly seems that way, what with the terrible Tichener contesting Helen's divorce application and refusing to accept that his behaviour was unreasonable. Will Helen tell her mum the process could take a year and cost thousands?

Tom's plans to wish Kirsty a happy New Year don't go as intended. After failing to persuade her to come to the Bull for new years eve, he calls round to Willow Farm in the middle of the night – much to Kirsty's annoyance.

And over at the Bull, Roy is trying to evade the clutches of Tracy Horrobin as the clock strikes midnight. Susan, though, thinks Roy would be a good match for her wayward sister.

Writer:Keri Davies
Editor: Huw Kennair Jones *

DeepanKrispanEven · 22/12/2016 16:31

It's a bit difficult for Rob to say his behaviour wasn't unreasonable in light of the findings that the Family Court has already made, so I doubt that the process would cost thousands. In the final analysis Helen could just decide to ride it out till she can divorce on the basis of five years' separation, or two if he's prepared to accept that.
