And so it continues. We still have one long-term prediction from the start of the last thread that has not yet come to pass - the burning down of Lower Loxley.

But there is still time...

No, it was Kenton Allen, who used to work as a sound effects chappie on The Archers. I wonder if they picked him because of his name.

Anyway, I assume he meant it wasn't deliberate because there is no doubt at all that the knife was in Helen's hand at the point it entered Rob's body.

Vango · 11/09/2016 14:00

I've just listened again to BH. I think (hope) he meant that she didn't 'stab him' in the sense that she was holding the knife as he hurtled towards her and it just happened to go in 😕.

Gruach · 11/09/2016 14:35

Hmm ... I had the impression that P. O'Connell thought the comment was a spoiler. Which wouldn't fit with any theory where Helen had the knife.

But I may have read too much into it!

Vango · 11/09/2016 14:41

I agree that Paddy's reaction implied that it might be a spoiler. I suspect he's not a listener though and panicked that something had been given away.

JudyCoolibar · 11/09/2016 20:09

So Rob telling Henry he loves him is immediately followed by "And you want to stay with Daddy who loves you, DON'T YOU?"

Stickerrocks · 11/09/2016 20:11

So you've been pouring over the next couple of weeks too!

Vango · 11/09/2016 20:19

Definitely Judy. Though clinging on to 'Tony stands guard'. Helen's got a mountain to climb to re-build her relationship with Henry.

BoreOfWhabylon · 11/09/2016 20:49

Anyone think the nanny will change her mind when she reads the outcome of the trial?

JudyCoolibar · 11/09/2016 21:09

No Charlotte in the cast list for the next couple of weeks, not that that necessarily means anything - Jess wasn't in the cast list last week. There is a Stephen South - is that Rob's barrister in the custody case?

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 11/09/2016 21:09

I would! I'd run a mile now. However, there are plenty of deluded people whose response to cases like this is some kind of perverse desire to side with the poor, misunderstood one, so who knows? Jess attempted to put Helen off and look what happened then.

pennygoodlife · 11/09/2016 22:26

What spoilers do we know? What has RT said?

Vango · 11/09/2016 22:44

Penny Scroll back to Grumperdorf's post yesterday at 08.48 for the full listing, taking you up to 30 September.

Vango · 11/09/2016 22:48

***Gumpendorf!!! Apologies.

Tuktuktaker · 12/09/2016 07:53

Toady prog, 7.40 am today: SO'C says abusive partners and Flower & Produce Show have been part of TA since the pilot episode and "it's pretty much Archers business as usual" - yes, but the dramatic emphasis and interpretation has been all wrong for the past three years (I'm shouting at the radio now, can you tell?).
Many expletives deleted.

Radio Times
17-23 September

The village is coming to terms with the end of Helen's trial and the family court's assessment of where Henry and Jack should live. The Bridge Farm Archers are taking things slowly, while Emma feels increasingly uncomfortable about accepting money from Rob for babysitting Henry. Tom, meanwhile, has his Nuffield scholarship interview, but confides in Kirsty that he is terrified of letting Helen down.

As for Rob – well, he needs to sort out the details of his new role as the Damara estate manager with Justin. When they meet Justin proposes a start date that clashes with Rob's stomo reversal surgery. With Justin keen to get someone in the role as soon as possible, will the delay cause problems?
Writer Joanna Toye
Editor Alison Hindall

Gumpendorf · 13/09/2016 10:20

Hmmm... So Rob still has Henry; Justin still wants to employ him; and Charlotte hasn't started work/may have declined the role. Is that the letter Rob receives?

Vango · 13/09/2016 11:42

I'm hoping 'Emma' is a red herring and that she's uncomfortable taking back payment for the work she's done during the hearing. Hate the idea that he's still got Henry. Surely now that Helen's been acquitted there's no reason why Henry shouldn't be returned to her?

TheAntiBoop · 13/09/2016 12:07

Maybe be she's looking after him while rob has access?

With respect to the job - how does Justin think it is going to work with most of the people working on the estate being related to the woman rob raped and abused?

He's the most unlikely successful businessman

Mootsie · 13/09/2016 13:25

Vango. I like your positive spin. I do hope you're right.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 13/09/2016 13:53

TOTAL TV GUIDE 17 - 23 SEPTEMBER 2016

Now that Helen's trial has come to an end, Ambridge has a lot to come to terms with.

Emma feels very uneasy about continuing to babysit Henry.

Rob discovers the start date of his new job clashes with his surgery. Is Justin prepared to wait, and will things get even more difficult for Lillian?

Josh continues to frustrate David with his latest plan. Can he make it as a mushroom farmer now?

The fallout between Ian and Adam is beginning to ripple through the village.

Jennifer's relationship advice goes down like a lead balloon with Ian.

Will the Grundys get their way?

TheAntiBoop · 13/09/2016 14:01

Jenny tells Ian that being a cuckolded spouse isn't so bad?

Vango · 13/09/2016 14:21

Jenny's presumably apologising to Ian for blabbing to Rob instead of telling him! Later, Brian's giving advice to Adam? Poor Ian (again). He's really going to think he's been the laughing stock of the village 😔.

tomtherabbit · 14/09/2016 19:53

It does seem to look like Rob gets to keep Henry Angry

JudyCoolibar · 14/09/2016 19:57

FFS, if that means Justin isn't withdrawing the job offer I shall be officially Cross.

ibrowze · 15/09/2016 12:36

If Emma's babysitting Henry that means Rob didn't get full custody or Charlotte would be there Smile perhaps he just gets him on nannies day off ?
