The premise seems to be what would happen if the Archers started listening to The Archers and getting advance hints of what was about to happen to their lives!

Sorry, I know it's only a minor story line (probably to be resurrected around Oxford interview time?) but it's like an exact replay of my own life at 17 so it's one I always remember.

Alex is Phoebe's odious boyfriend - the one who likes her to be 'normal' and not get ideas above her station, like university out of Borsetshire.

FFS again. I get it that they're trying to pave the way for Jill to come back to Brookfield, but are we really supposed to believe that five able bodied adults and teenagers are wholly incapable between them of shoving stuff into a washing machine and switching it on, and that they need an 85 year old woman to do it for them? What was Jill, a full time slave? And how on earth are they going to manage if or when she reaches the point that she can't do it any more?

I fear the Alex sl may not have fizzled unless the SWs think twice about having two controlling arseholes operating at the same time. With any luck Phoebe will meet someone fantastic if or when she gets and Oxbridge interview and he will be booted. Whereupon he will have a good moan about how it's just what he predicted, no good can come of women getting these fancy ideas about university, and with any luck she'll tell him that she's glad she realised what a twat he is before getting in any deeper with him.

Pip will leap at the opportunity but on the proviso that the Fairbretheren are brought in as partners
I had hoped for a scene in which Adam and David were bent double with laughter, picking over the figures and claims Rexby/Troby (?) had made. They were actually both very circumspect in their comments.

Byos I lolled at that. It's true. It's as if none of them knew anything about farmibg or could make a decision before she came along. And actually what has she done? Made a website once with some lambs on it and rerouted a trackway.

I take it Adam has ruled out Ed as Ed has no money.

They'll still need someone to cosset the new Home Farm cows won't they? Pip would hardly have the time and I'm not sure Adam (lovely as he is) has much recent beef/dairy experience. So there's surely a job for Ed there?
