Belated thanks for the new thread Pseudo. It occ curds to me that I won't be reading any more of the thread until next Sunday after the film.

AzureJules · 28/09/2015 15:33

Aww thanks for the warm welcome! Grin
Okay---is this inheritance coin Rob/Helen have now, diff than when Peggy sat them down last year and gave everyone some type of inheritance?

I was caught up to D&R moving, then I missed why they didn't. Seems sudden with Plan/Route B and all that hoopla to all the sudden not follow through. Was everyone pretty upset since they had all already thought through their share of the farm?

And as ashamed as I am to ask---I have totally missed who Stefan is. Unless he's Mowgali/Mungo's dad?

Dare I ask---Scruff? Do I want to find this episode & listen? *sniff

AzureJules · 28/09/2015 15:35

Oh and where the heck has Kirsti been? I was so anticipating her first run-in with Tom. And once again, I missed it.
(Thanks for all the links too btw!)

stilllearnin · 28/09/2015 15:38

asking I'm afraid to say I was snurking with you ('what is this 4 way knob throttling thing and how have I missed out all these years' was my exact thought. Before 'oh, I see' and sloping off feeling shady!)

AzureJules · 28/09/2015 15:40

R&R--I am American. I have watched quite a lot of diff BBC shows over the yrs and tried to pick up all I can. I'll take the pickle & crisps please. Wink

I could use a catch up on JT's death--how did we find out it was a mercy killing?

RockNRollNerd · 28/09/2015 15:44

David and Ruth didn't move because y'know, plot device...Grin. Honestly the whole thing was a random shambles of storyline. Basically David threw a huge mummyboy wobbler and decided he couldn't leave Brookfield and his mum. Good reasons for not moving like money, kids education etc didn't appear to come into the decision.

The money Rob and Helen have is a wedding gift from Peggy - I think £10,000. Her will has been rewritten now and it's all going to Tony, Lillian and Jenny in varying proportions.

Stefan was a silent character who worked at Berrow Farm and apparently spilled the beans to Jenny (or maybe David) that he'd seen Rob blocking the culvert that led to the flooding being so much worse. Charlie was tipped off and began to investigate and then Stefan suddenly had to return home to somewhere in Eastern Europe (this last bit according to Rob so his rotting corpse could still be blocking another bloody culvert).

Scruff has gone to the great plot device graveyard in the sky (or is also rotting with Stefan somewhere).

AskingForAPal · 28/09/2015 15:44

Oh that was just this week Azure. Carol's possibly/not demented friend Hester (!) turned up and said casually that Carol had done everything for John in his illness including killing him. cue sharp intakes of breath everywhere. Then a couple of days later Carol as good as admitted it to Jenny and basically told her not to be a silly sausage about it as she would have done the same thing. And very moving that episode was, I thought, with the depiction of someone in their final days :(

(Phew still sometimes I worry I'm the only filthbag around here)

Gruach · 28/09/2015 15:53

... I also thought (for a second) that ppeat was introducing me to some new and somewhat specialized vocabulary ...

AzureJules · 28/09/2015 15:53

Amazing what they blow off and make no big deal and what the SW will emphasize as a "thing".
I was enjoying the suspense of that. I do love a good mystery. Grin

AzureJules · 28/09/2015 15:54

Okay I see. I think I do remember the walk down memory lane with D & J.
I am a little anxious starting to listen again about this D & Pip biz. Hmmm
Shock

InimitableJeeves · 28/09/2015 15:56

I don't think Stefan was a silent character, was he? Am I imagining the conversation between him and David about the culvert?

Gruach · 28/09/2015 16:04

Seem to recall Stefan speaking in a couple of episodes.

OTOH I've already forgotten just where Tom and Kirsty recently bumped into each other ...

Toomuchtea · 28/09/2015 16:05

No, Stefan definitely did speak. He got in touch with David and someone else (cannot remember who) when they were investigating the flood for the Parish Council, I think.

squeaver · 28/09/2015 16:07

No, Stefan told David and Jenny. David then told Charlie. Jenny buried her memory of the conversation in a quiche. Then Stefan had a "family emergency".

MeolsCop · 28/09/2015 16:49

Stefan spoke to Dave'n'JennyDarling under conditions of absolute secrecy; didn't he refuse to meet in their suggested venue with the artisan-roast coffee and stipulated some downmarket caff instead, giving JD the chance to be sniffy about the nasty Nescafé?

I'm so glad other people spotted Lizzie doing the Brummie station annos. I was going to point it out but thought it might be too over-infested. Little did I realise that everyone else is as infested as me

enochroot · 28/09/2015 17:03

Does anyone else think Rob wiped the incriminating video off her phone?

ppeatfruit · 28/09/2015 17:09

Askingfor Grin "snurk" a mix between smirk and sniggle? Giggle? Grin

Gruach Sorry was it my terrible use of grammar? Blush.

CuttedUpPear · 28/09/2015 17:21

Yes of course he did Enoch. DS (18) just heard it in the car with me and exclaimed "He deleted the video!" at the end of the episode.

Gruach · 28/09/2015 17:30

I think it was the use of a lower case "k" that confused our delicate minds ppeat.Grin

Gruach · 28/09/2015 17:32

Btw - who's Alex Fairbrother?

Is it Rex you've outed?

Grin
AskingForAPal · 28/09/2015 18:52

I know it's a bit early but can we PLEEASE put the four way knob throttling in the next title?

Bea · 28/09/2015 19:10

Ruth and Heather Pet. .. Crash!!??
We can only hope!!?! Shock
