The Archers - It's not about the money, money, money, think about Jill's honey, honey, honey, Justin wants to farm by satnav, forget about the prize tag.

Will The Dopeys have buggered off by the end of this thread?
Will Tom finally reach home, after weeks of trekking through the tundra?

R4 Doesn't Ed jnr. rent from Oliver? And Susan would LOVE her baby boy dressed up in green wellies and Barbour like the posh nobs, of course!!!! Xmas Grin

ppeatfruit · 12/12/2014 09:33

Sorry I was thinking it would give Susan something to crow about in the shop about her soon to be son in law !!. Clarrie wouldn't mind either though I'm sure. Xmas Grin

Is the Alice v. Linda tussle an allegory of poor Mr O'C's experience over the past year?

For the new thread title, can we have some reference to the non appearance of baby TitchyNob?

That loose end annoys me massively as well.

Doesn't Ed jnr. rent from Oliver?

According to this we are both right. He originally rented land at Grange Farm from Oliver but then expanded into renting from the Estate too.

If Jess's actress didn't have such an annoying voice, I would be hoping that she'd just hover in the background for ages. Popping up every now and then like the wicked fairy.

Actually I'd love her first night out post baby, to be to see Blythe Spirit maybe accompanied by Ursula?

CuttedUpPear · 12/12/2014 12:20

Well we can hardly expect the SWs to get that bit of reality correct tea when they miss the boat on so much more!

Sorry to say it's just another unresolved and urgent matter kicked under the rug.

Thanks R4 Xmas Grin. Anyone notice that the SWs are playing with us? Carol was very sympathetic to Pat; mentioning the difficulty of sitting with a very gravely ill partner; a bit of camomile tea won't hurt anyone fgs. Pat couldn't talk from tiredness BEFORE she had the tea btw.

guineapiglet · 12/12/2014 15:05

....hmmm... A sleeping draught eh?
There are a few people I wouldn't mind giving that to!!
Kind of Alice to drive to airport, pick up Ruairi, direct the play etc. The ever silent Chris must have had some sleeping draught too!

unitarian · 12/12/2014 15:54

Bonnie Langford popped up briefly on Strictly last week and I thought I was hearing Jess!

ppeatfruit · 12/12/2014 16:27

I watch Strictly too unitarian Xmas Grin I know what you mean about B.L.'s voice (I like her though, I was very impressed that she hasn't fallen for the universal botox madness that is Strictly).

unitarian · 12/12/2014 18:02

She was looking good!

CuttedUpPear · 12/12/2014 18:30

Who the hell calls herbal tea a sleeping draught these days?
Preposterous.

OhLittleBoreOfWhabylon · 12/12/2014 19:10

Hellin seems to understand with no direction at all from Lynda "what it is like to be a woman trapped in a dysfunctional relationship with a man who probably doesn't even like women"

Priceless! Xmas Grin Xmas Grin Xmas Grin

unitarian · 12/12/2014 19:13

GypsyFloss · 12/12/2014 19:14

unitarian · 12/12/2014 19:18

What happened at the very end? DH was droning on about something!

minklundy · 12/12/2014 19:44

Tony squeezed Pats hand when she talked about anniversary/champagne/coming home

GypsyFloss · 12/12/2014 19:55

Indeed Bore we've been assimilated. Or as we prefer to say here ,misquoting a mate of DH's, we've been arse- laminated Xmas Grin

mummytime · 12/12/2014 20:21

Lynda's line was absolutely fabulous!

I'm just wondering if Carol is going to get more interesting - there were hints with her speaking about not seeing her family at Christmas, and quickly moving on. I'm also not sure she can be trusted with anyone's husband.

Oh and Jill is a worry isn't she.
